Winning all premium races.

What do you think are the chances of getting some kind of reward for winning each race at least once for the whole weekly roster of races?

Low. Seeing that most people ram.

None. There's no new award added for anything related to stunt races and generally (always?) there's an award that unlocks the bonus RP/cash/items.

With this kind of thing happening, probably not very high, unfortunately:

It's GTA not forza. Expect ramming. Why wouldn't ramming carry over from standard races? It's always been part and parcel of GTA races... and the reason I race in Forza/Project Cars/a racing game where players know the word respect. But then that's something for the B&M topic, right?

Ramming is still present in Forza, although most people will look down on that person if being accused of such thing. GTA, though, you say you got rammed and people are like, "eh, better luck next race". Proper racing etiquette can only be found among friends or a dedicated crew. You know that tip you get told by your parents when you start driving a car in real life to imagine everyone else is an idiot and cant' drive so you're more cautious and don't rely on "well, they NEED to stop at the stop sign" stuff? That's GTA in a nutshell. Everyone is out to get you and even if you scold them, they don't give a sh*t. I fear I'm in the minority when it comes to manners. If I spin out someone, I slow down and let them overtake me again so I can have another go at it, even if it pushes me back a few positions. I'd rather have a good race than to win, which isn't the same motive for most GTA players.

There should be a special bonus for winning all races but I doubt R* would add anything significant to racing. The only thing we've had that was proper was time trials and that was ages ago.

GTA goes beyond just ramming though. Take the guy in my gif - he'd just been spinning in that tunnel through the entire race, not bothering with it, just waiting to f*ck someone over.

Personally, I think that if you're two or more places behind someone, you should be ghosted to them. The only way such a player would reach the other guy is if he's going backwards, so it'd only cut down on BS.

You are right, ramming, spinning, dickheads, all are present in other racing games. The difference is, it's frowned upon in other racing games. GTA is not a racing game in my opinion, it's GTA. It's all out war. It's trust no-one. It's not how I play personally but I do play with the knowledge that anyone else I come up against is likely to play that way. My main point was that Forza etc. players have a little thing called respect. GTA players do not have any such word in their vocabulary (this is the majority, it's good to see you do but, frankly, you like I are a minority). Stunt races were always going to be just a bunch of dicks waiting to f*ck over anyone at any chance.

You're correct, GTA is full of dickheads.

Going back to Forza, if someone is driving the wrong way, they are ghosted, that should be included in this. However, destroy last place may be a good option to enable too. Take the dickheads out of the game before they become a problem. Side effect of that is it doesn't make it that cool if you do get that rare, good clean race.

Any reward for clean racing, be it RP or money, would be lost on these dickheads though, they don't care. GTA once meant Grand Theft Auto, I guess it's meaning has changed to Gigantic Trolling Assholes or something.

looks like " Nice job fixing it , villain " trope , just getting bumped result your car facing at right angle while his turned table

i'd guess choosing armored kuruma is a good choice because of abnormally great weight

and since its a GTA , makes sense why 70% of it are pragmatists

That would be problematic if destroying last place was turned on.

Imagine you are leading the pack andsome asshole ram you and you have to go back to the last checkpoint miles away...

I think some of you guys are not quite grasping what I meant. I don't mean the chance of actually winning the races, of all premium races I've done, I've won 11/14. I kept track.

I meant something like a reward for winning each daily premium race at least once for a whole consecutive week, like the extra rewards you get for doing daily objectives for a week/month.

The bad outweigh the good, granted. However, once the initial first corner pile up is done, anyone who can knock you out of first place would have to catch up to you and if that's the case, chances are they could just overtake anyway. Generally those who can't race cleanly will give up pretty early on and park up in the way or drive backwards, destroy last place would take them out.

There is no solution to the race troll though, whatever you throw at it, GTA players just don't understand clean play.

@Demonic: I always avoided races in GTA due to me being used to Forza with its mostly respectful players and the sad fact that I'm much slower in GTA races than what I am in Forza (and that there's no engine tuning to make cars more appropriate on short or long tracks but rather having to put specific vehicles for such things). The stunt races are a breath of fresh air, though, as the comedic view of these insane ramps makes me less upset when I get spun out. I tend to get more in the "enjoy this and don't take the race seriously" mindset. I hope that over time I can learn the tracks better and relax more/shout less when racing and not be too committed to an aspect of the game which isn't my strong point.

There's literally nothing you can do about or against these pricks. Spinning them out in return yields nothing. I just move on and ignore it. I'm at the point in my "gaming career" that I don't give a sh*t about the stupid stuff. Player blew up my car as I exit LS Customs? Don't care. R* giving out t-shirt to Twitch viewers only? No matter. The dumb stuff that just doesn't benefit me in any way, you know? If only everyone else would have that same mindset then trolls would have no purpose other than waste their own time.

I answered that. No chance, no award for them so nothing that unlocks and gives the bonus. Unless they have changed things (which is possible but doubtful) any bonuses have come from completing awards.

I wouldn't mind on getting wrecked on the first corner or before some jumps and having to restart, the biggest problem is that destroying last place makes you have to wait and unable to do anything in between upsets me.

It's impossible to have a win-win solution to keep the trolls away, racing with certain community helps a lot in that aspect and much better that destroying last place.

On topic:

I dont think the game currently have some sort of reward system, it is certainly a great idea to add into the game, giving us more reasons to play it.

Oh yeah. Feels like it has some weight to it though, and since I knew 90% of races turn into a ramming-fest, well I wanted a battering ram lol.

Well, yeah.

Choosing an Armored Kuruma when even a stock Tropos could easily dominate the competition...

But yeah, people like that are scum.

I had a fellow in a Comet try to pit me off of one of the stunt tracks and fail.

Catching up was almost too easy, and soon enough I had rammed him off the side.

A fellow racer in a Tropos sped by with a few honks of gratitude.

No, but seriously. The grip on that little flea is astounding. You should never not use it when it's an option.

I hear ya. Once raced against 15 Omnis and here I was in my Tropos winning. Non custom as well. I guess everyone looked solely at the stats. Acceleration power is good, but if the counter part grips like glue and never slides it's less likely to lose speed?

I get why the Omnis is preferred.

It has AWD and a strong rally platform, but the Tropos manages to stick to the road far better with just RWD and downforce.

I was taking turns at near-max speed while the other guys either had to slow down or smacked the wall.

Also manages to gain and keep speed a lot better than other cars in the tubes for whatever reason.
