The Time Ranger
Quite looking forward to this, I liked Eastbound & Down so if this is similar I am all for it, will be cool to see Walter Goggins in a comedic role also. I read they have written two seasons and that's all there's going to be, I think this is a good idea, keeps shows from going stale, a format I would like to see more of, quality over quantity. The Time Ranger
Anybody watching this, pretty funny overall, the chemistry between McBride and Goggins is great, McBride's character is similar to Kenny Powers personality wise but that's not a bad thing. Overall it's growing on me. EvolvedWalker
Voodoo
Walton Goggins is absolutely hilarious in this. If you liked McBride in Eastbound and Down, which I did, it's basically more of the same but with less hardcore narcissism. Some of the writing is hit or miss but there are some incredibly funny scenes scattered throughout. I've been enjoying it so far. Mister Pink
I hope this is good. Would be nice to have a comedy to watch.. although I'm a little weary of how camp it is by that trailer. I know it's HBO but I'm afraid of that camp style of comedy where everyone is a caricature and they act more like they're in the theatre then on TV although it could just be the workings of the trailer. El Dildo
I'm gonna go ahead and say that the trailer doesn't do it justice. it's not exactly camp; it's just over the top, but it's really funny at times, has great writing, and clearly understands that it's not taking itself seriously. I don't know if this series has real longevity because the premise is so tight (they'll need to start adding characters) but the first season has been pretty wild so far. if you're on the fence just start watching it. I always just really enjoy the kind of creative/artistic freedom that HBO allows these guys to produce. Voodoo
Yeah, the trailers and teasers don't really capture the show. i edited the best I could find into the first post trying not to spoiling too much. That LSD scene had me in tears.

Dutch Psycho
God i love this show. It's indeed over the top but the way how they throw the f*cks and motherf*ckers at each other is just too funny. Goggins and McBride are great together. I really like the lady boss too. The Time Ranger
Just saw episode 7, The Good Book, for me it was the best episode so far, very funny, Gamby is becoming less of a Kenny Powers 2.0 and is more his own character now, I just hope the folder on Snodgrass which the other teacher knows about won't become a big story point but it probably will, I can see that potentially dragging on. Looking forward to next week, it's getting better and better as time goes on.
The Time Ranger
Episode 8, Gin, was another quality episode, only one more left in this season, going to miss this show, it was a slow burner for me, took a while to get into it but I'm enjoying it now, some very funny moments. They are only doing two seasons so I hope the next season isn't too far away.
Original Light
I just finished the season finale, and I have to say - this show is brilliant. I'm constantly reevaluating who I should root for. Both Gamby and Russel show mean spirited qualities, yet, more often than not, you feel sorry for them (although, for different reasons). Even Dr. Brown has a soft side that makes you feel guilty. For anyone who has watched the season finale: Do you believe it was Dr. Brown's husband, or a hired assassin that shot Gamby? If it's the latter, do you believe Russel may have been behind it? I know he's cold-blooded, almost psychotic, and shows little emotion (and ruthless in the process to get what he wants) - but I almost doubt that he would go that far. Especially after bonding with Gamby and forming a seemingly powerful friendship, over the course of the season. Also, both their cars were on fire. Who in their right mind would set their own car on fire? Unless that's what he wanted, to deceive Gamby into not thinking it wasn't him. GIRR
I have to be honest. I'm not a huge fan Danny Mcbride, but even I thought it was pretty funny. I can't help but think Goggins character seems a bit gay.

I can't help but think Goggins character seems a bit gay. I'm sure they intended him to come off as flamboyant, since it adds to his humor. Although in the show, he does have a wife. He could be bisexual. Edited September 26, 2016 by Original Light El Dildo

He could be bisexual. In one scene the boys of the Dr Brown called him a homo so i'm 100% sure they made him act like homosexual-ish character. He talks and moves like a homosexual too. Voodoo
He may be effeminate but that doesn't automatically make him gay. In the scope of the series, what difference would his gender preference make anyway? None. El Dildo and AZAZEL

MizzSuki
I swear Walton Goggins could play Trevor if there ever was a GTA movie. He looks and sounds so much like him. It would be a perfect choice. Plus he's a great actor and is so good in everything he's in. I'm a big fan. Love him! The Time Ranger
That trailer looks very promising, looking forward to this. Last season ended on a big cliffhanger, really wasn't expecting that, looking forward to the manhunt of Gamby's attacker, it's an exciting direction to take the show in EvolvedWalker and feckyerlife
