1. Create an outfit you want with the helmet you want and save it.

 

2. Go to an apartment that has a telescope or go to Del Perro Pier, there are also telescopes but cost $1.

 

3. Now equip the mask you want under the helmet. The helmet on your outfit will disappear.

 

4. Run past the telescope and press right on the D-Pad (or platform equivalent) to use the telescope. If done correctly, the mask will disappear and you won't use the telescope.

 

5. Now, where you are standing, equip the saved outfit with the helmet.

 

6. Walk away from the telescope and the mask will reappear underneath the helmet.

 

7. Then simply save it.

Alternatively, if you don't have too many masks you could use the Blazer glitch.

 

Just set the helmet you want as your default "on bike" helmet.

 

Find a Blazer quad, usually one spawns on the beach near the mask store.

 

Now go to the mask store with the blazer.

 

All you have to do is get on the quad, and as your character is putting the helmet on cycle through your masks and make sure you land on the one you want.

 

After that, just get off and quickly save the outfit from the mask store menu.

 

Then drive to the nearest clothing store, make one change to the outfit, and save it again to be sure.

what ive been doing since the update is this. the default helmet option is broken or disabled right now.

 

put the outfit and mask i want on.

go to the pier where the telescopes are.

start backing up leaving a gas trail until i bump up against the telescope.

light the gas.

push the button to look through the telescope.

you have to be looking through it before the fire reaches you and it doesnt work well in the rain.

wait until im on fire and shaking.

pull up the inventory menu.

pick style.

pick accessories.

then quickly put on the helmet and back out of the inventory menu.

start walking. if it worked the mask spawns under the helmet.

go over to the mask shop and save outfit.

find new session.

 

since the update the game sometimes refuses to save the helmet mask combo when you save the outfit. switching lobbies and then putting on that outfit lets me know it actually saved. starting a mission will usually despawn the mask or helmet. you have to re-equip your saved outfit to use it during one.
