And sooner or later, everyone's using that car until the next one. And you HAVE to shell out $2.1 million+ dollars for that new fancy car or truck or whatever, because if you don't, that's it. You can't do competitive racing. I mean, look at what we have: Base Game: Ztype (in a straight line) After IGG: T20 Executives: Schafter V12 Armored January: Banshee 900r Lowriders Custom Classics: Slamvan Custom Finance and Felony Base: FMJ Finance and Felony After: Pfister 811 Cunning Stunts: I don't really know this but I'm pretty sure it's the $2,600,000 one Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. It's getting to the point that whenever a new update drops, I see a whole bunch of people not just on the forums, but everywhere (Social Club, YouTube, Se7ensins, Reddit, Facebook for some reason), asking about 'What's the new fastest car?' It's now "use the RE-7B for everything or go home", at least on PC. Yes, even for high-speed races - the RE-7B demolishes the 811. Tyrus and ETR1 may be able to keep up on corner-heavy tracks, but they're hopeless against the RE-7B on long straights. I understand OPs view, but then again adding only slower cars to the game would make little sense, if any. People want their new stuff to be better than old, it is understandable. Personally i dont mind a tenth here or there in lap times, a GTA race isn't usually civil enough. You cant use cars to their full potential, so that you could squeeze to the inside in hard braking, or cut late to the apex to get more speed to the next straight. Or that perceived masses want whatever can go in a straight line the fastest, as opposed to what could complete a given circuit the fastest. Or that people are asking instead of testing for themselves. I can answer the last one: not everyone has modded billions and since Rockstar made the d*ck-move of not adding new cars to story mode anymore, so instead of dropping millions into a car that is significantly slower than other cars in the same class (since we lose 60% of what it cost when sold), players ask those that do have money to blow on such things to test them all out and give results. For some players, that's all they want to know and buy stuff; but others (like me) want to know but will take that into consideration along with outer factors (appearance, handling, recover-from-loss-of-control ability, weight and collision stability, low body that hits curbs, etc.) when considering a new car. Broghy (sp) is a source of data to me, like getting the millage estimates from the EPA when shopping for a new car. I'm not going to rent the car and drive it for a few hundred miles to get my own milage results before buying. In this subforum I asked what the "best" Sports-class car is now as I only have a non-racing Jester and there are a bunch of new cars in that class. I'm not going to buy 'em all and test them myself when I can ask others that have already done that. If the consensus is "car X" with "car Y" or "car Z" as a close second, then I'll look at styling, handling, and even mod options to decide what, if any, I will buy. Kind of pointless for me since I like cars based on looks, not solely on performance. The car I drive the most?.. the Emperor. And god knows no races will be won with it. And atleast on PC(being bugged)i think it should beat everything considering in real life it would. Don't really get the problem people have with how cars look. They are build to look a way for a reason (atleast racing cars). It is rockstar's fault for putting them with normal street legal cars. I'm talking about real speed, not what is shown on dashboard, because that speed is wrong. Plus just their way to say "that car is faster: 120mph vs 125mph". Nothing like, a 250kph sport car vs a 350kph super car. Let cars have their real speed....gosh...a Bugatti Veyron based car that can't do at least 300kph...a Porsche 918-based that can't reach 300kph too. That's stupid. As much as I love my Banshee 900R, I was bitterly disappointed the first time I did the Highest Speed Challenge in it. On a flat surface it was barely getting past 135mph, like almost every other vehicle in the game, I had to find a long straight slope just to get it past 145mph. Personally I think R* owes us some seriously fast cars after bullshi**ing us for so long about how fast these cars are supposed to go. Entity XF - 240mph Adder - 250mph How many owners of these two cars have gotten anywhere near that speed? None, that's how many. On a flat surface even Adder owners were lucky if they broke 150mph. Bring on faster and faster vehicles I say. As long as the game can handle it without fu*king up in a full session/lobby I'm all in favour of it.
