I Personally liked Micheal & Trevor so neither were great options for me but out of the two, I feel killing Trevor feels more right.

The Third Way felt rushed and was anticlimactic, they should have done it in separate missions and made it more of a challenge, maybe even get a crew together like You're pulling a score when attempting to capture Devin, one last big battle with Merryweather would have been great.

Killing Trevor or Michael is like being a backstabber and kill your friend, it feels really bad.

The third way or Deathwish is the best ending, pretty much it's "kill all your enemies" in one mission. (It's even the canon ending)

Kill the judas Michael. There were numerous moments throughout the campaign that were hinting towards this ending, like Lester warning Townley in "Casing the Jewel Store" that he's making his own funeral for hiring Franklin, or Amanda texting Michael that she wants to bury him when "the time come". The exact same name of the B ending.

Both 'kill' endings are fitting to their respective characters and I liked both.

Seeing Trevor burn is pretty satisfying, plus he almost seemed like a human being for that one mission.

Michael dying after his speech how life is finally getting good etc., and by his pupil no less, a fitting and well done end to a crime story.

I literally wish the rest of the game would be as good.

The third ending is weak and meh, just like most of the story.

Both ending A and B suck, not only ending A makes Michael an even more backstabbing whiny sh*t than before but it also kills his relationship with Franklin and spares the man who send a private army to kill Michael's family.

B is not really a realistic choice because Franklin doesn't have reasons to kill Michael over Trevor.

Ending C is pretty stupid but at least cuts all loose ends, is still worlds better than the other two.

Killing Trevor is satisfying. Great mission, great death scene, and a great explosion.

Always C. It has a silly explosion. I prefer the mission too. I like some of the movie stuff like Michael trying to light his cigar then throwing the pack away because the lighter doesn't work. It's not realistic, as a quitting smoker myself I know if my lighter didn't work I'd look for another one. I like Michael's speech.

I found killing Michael too depressing, his daughter's just going to college, his family are less annoying, he's rich and now a producer of awful movies. Then Franklin murders him. I then have to play as depressed Trevor or dickhead Franklin. Almost worth it to hear Jimmy cry :p

How do you know it's the canon ending? I'm curious.

It's because of this piece of artwork titled "The Trunk".

But then again, the ending is the player's choice.

Like the vast majority of GTA fans, I would have to say easily that the only real ending is the C ending where all protagonists live. :)

How did A or B not feel rushed, anti-climatic, or weak? You throw out all of Franklin's character development with one push of a button, you chase one of the other protagonists for a couple minutes, then you watch them die in a cutscene, and then everything else in the story is unresolved.

You can dislike how C wrapped things up in one mission, but to say that A or B are superior gameplay and/or story-wise is just ridiculous.

I find it hilarious how people get upset with C feeling rushed, and everything happening in the span of one mission (which is actually a pretty lengthy one I might add) - yet nobody bats an eye at Ending B when out of f*cking nowhere Franklin is on top of Michael, beating his face in, and screaming at him as if it makes any sense whatsoever and pretend that the story was building up to this release of tension. Yeah f*cking right.

Well, IMO the canon should be the ending that would benefit all the protagonists, basically the C one, apart of the artwork being displayed by Cluckin' Bell, but personally to me it is just an artwork.

Lets not forget that Ending C dialogue was also featured in a couple trailers. As was the animation of them watching Devin's car blow up, except in the trailer the scene is changed to Blitz Play as to not spoil the ending.

Same thing happened with GTA IV, there was one ending scene shown in a trailer and it was Niko on Happiness Island saying: "Welcome to America."

I also like to think back to when GTA V was first released, that the news stories from Ending C would still show up even if you picked A or B.

And remember back when SP DLC was a thing? And we were told that it would expand all three protagonist's adventures? Yeah that was cool.

It's not. All three are canon. Artwork doesn't mean sh*t.

The Third way, what's rong with Trevor? IMO He had some of the most fun missions in the game- Mr. Philips, Nervous Ron etc. Trevor also has the rampage side missions, which involves blowing up a Rhino! I never played ending A or B but watched them on YouTube a while ago. Killing Micheal- Chase for a bit, shoot a bit, death cut scene- Kill Tervor- Slgihtly better Chase, death cut scene (a pretty good one, mind). The third option is more thrilling and enjoyable, a shootout with Noose and FIB, murdering all enemy's which ties of any loose ends and it all ends with pushing Devin Weston off a cliff.

Misunderstood

I joke around a lot about Ending A because I hate Trevor but honestly, C is the only decent ending. A and B are both boring and bland (except for the part where Trevor burns) and all they require you to do is drive, chase and you get a cutscene. Boring as f*ck and anti-climatic. I have no idea why Rockstar put in these endings if they were gonna be the most half-assed things ever. Hell, C isn't even that good of an ending. Taking out an "antagonist" that I personally forget even existed (Stretch) and the rest in one big, final mission felt rushed and once more, anti-climatic. Still, C at least felt like it had a bit more thought put into it than whatever sad excuse for an ending A and B were.

GTA IV did the multiple endings right. By choosing one you're not gimped gameplay-wise. The missions are still similar, just with some different characters and locations.

In GTA V you have 2/3 possible missions where you get the short end of the stick, and the only people that would be left satisfied are the ones that had a serious hate-boner for Trevor or Michael. Meanwhile the other people who chose C get a typical over-the-top GTA finale, just like every other GTA game.

Stretch could have been a good antagonist had he just simply been a minor antagonist that Frankling and Lamar take out earlier in the game. Instead, he disappears for half of the game and his presence is not felt.

I only played the C ending, I have yet to do the others! :O

I never got to it because by the time I finished the story on both the PS3 and PS4 I was at the point where it was just time to play other game. I do want to try these other options.

The way I saw those options was:

A) Be Steve Haines' bitch (yet again) and like a good little lapdog do what you're told (yet again) by killing one of your friends and partners in crime.

B) Be Devin Weston's bitch (yet again) and like a good little lapdog do what you're told (yet again) by killing one of your friends and partners in crime.

OR

C) Get said friends and partners in crime to resolve their differences once and for all and with your new four-men army (if we count Lamar too) pay them all back in kind for poisoning your life and finally get them off your back by putting them in the ground.

Of course I was gonna choose C.

Yeah, I've listened to the phone calls for A and B on YouTube and they just mock you for doing their work. Meanwhile Michael or Trevor will cut ties with you, and Lamar has to go into hiding because of Stretch. A and B literally put Franklin in a sort of "game over" situation.

Deathwish all the way. Every time I start a new game that's the ending I'll choose.

I would never choose anything other than Deathwish. Anything else is a bitch move betrayal tactic. It makes Frank out to be a complete coward.

Ending B made no sense at all, Franklin had no reason to kill Michael and the dialogue between the two during the mission contradicts what we know about their friendship throughout the game. Killing Trevor is stupid considering he has the only decent side missions in the game (Bail Bonds and Arms Trafficking). Ending C was nothing special but it was at least believable and was basically a standard GTA climax.
