Cunning Stunts BEST (Non Heist) DLC, was Happy to buy Shark Card

I love creating tracks. But damn, the Rockstar stunt tracks are soo good, I cant see any room to beat them. They even stole my high tide over the track idea lol. I'll be really surprised if the new creator tools let us come even close to the quality of these tracks.

Had to get the new Trophy Truck and 7B super car asap, so I plunked down $50 for a Whale card and had a helluva time with my crew trying the new tracks. GREAT fun, VERY WELL built tracks that are far from the usual R* vanilla. Bravo guys, happy to pay you for this DLC!

I seriously don't get why half this fanbase praises whoever bought shark cards and treats them like Jesus, they bought microtransactions for an online MMO, what's so heroic about that?

It's much better than the other half, that lambasts anyone who dares spend their hard-earned money on things they don't agree with.

In a way it's what keeps the updates "free".

If the microtransaction method didn't work, rockstar would probably sell the updates we get today as DLC, and if that happened, everyone who wanted said content would have to pay real money for it, no other way around it. Sure you may say that if they sold as DLC they could go $5 a pack and that would be cheaper than shark cards, but personally I rather freeload all the way and farm cash instead of dumping real money, but obviously for that to happen someone has to dump theirs, but as long it ain't me, I'm happy.

So yeah, it's good that the OP is taking one for the team, thank you OP.

Dont worry, I havnt totally bent over for Rockstar. Ive had the game since launch, and this is only the third time Ive bought a Shark card. Ive never glitched for money (I regret that now since they were never punished). Ive bought 2 $20 cards before. This was the first time buying the $50 card. The Trophy Truck was perfect for my Ivan Steelman OffRoad Series (Search #Ivan) that I use to run the Rebel truck with. And I was poor at only 500 grand, and hadnt even got the X80 yet like the rest of my crew. So I grabbed the new 7B (which I kicked my crews ass with on my road courses), had to have it asap instead of the long hard grind (PHRASING!). When I saw the quality and amount of the stunt tracks, I felt it was worth it to reward them for a release right in my wheelhouse, stunt tracks with stunts most folks can make, not the crazy high fail rate creator tracks that are all the rage. Im SOO in love with my Trophy Truck, its like a persona gift from Rockstar (that I paid THEM for lol)

Thank you for supporting the game, OP.

But I really have to question your inteligence here, because you just paid the game's price for two cars!

All Shark Cards offer very, VERY little for what they cost.

The other half that you talk about has enough common sense to realize how low the value of shark cards are nowadays as well as knowing full-well how not to waste their money.

Depends how you look at it, one end you could've made 500k a day and had 3mil in 6 days or $50 and a fast satisfaction. But it's your $ and as long as you're happy.

Inb4 shark card conspiracy theorists whip out their reskinned vehicle bs.

IamCourtney

What anyone does with their own money is their own business...

For me, they'd need to simultaneously halve the real world cost and double the ingame payout before Shark Cards even began to approach reasonable value.

Well there are 1.5X as much cars in GTA Online thanks to free DLCs which are in fact paid for by people who aren't stingy sh*ts like you.

What is him spending his own money any of your business, I would rather go out and work and socialise with my colleagues than sit in the room by my self all day

Its your money...

But yea...not really good if many people still do this sh*t.

I would love it if they only implement fixes in game instead of more overpriced crap from now.

I'm glad that you're happy, OP. Thing is, I'm not. I'm a day one Online player and series veteran, started from GTA 2 and I stopped playing Online once, took a break for 8 months and then returned just to quit for good after another half a year. I will keep it short and simple: I don't like the direction where this game is going.

Oh, and about microtransactions: it's pure evil and everything is overpriced in this game. Why? Let's imagine the scenario, where every released DLC is not "free" and priced as a combined value of every new item, correspondingly to current shark card prices. Yacht for $100, everyone?

P.S. I know a lot of people will try to argue that it's easy to make money in this game. Save your breath: I agree, but that's not the point.

Can someone tell me why a significant portion of a $50 purchase is still called 'microtransaction'?

WELL WORTH IT...

100 quid for 8 million and 4 million extra when a modded account with 500 million is 5 dollars lol

If you really cared about what you spend your money on, you'd spend it on necessities and deposit the rest into a savings account to gather up enough of a budget for something worthwhile, like a new car or furniture or even a holiday trip, not spend it on virtual overpriced cars that cost half the base game's retail price. My problem lies not with shark cards themselves, but with how ridiculously overpriced they are...

If I'm gonna spend 100 REAL dollars on in game currency, that should be enough to buy everything in the freaking game! Not just 1 yacht (minus upgrades), or a couple cars fully modified.

And this is coming from a dude who has spent over $200 on shark cards in the past. A long, LONG time ago btw...

Forget it man. A sucker is born every day. People would gladly pay $200 just for a new car. Not only that, but they will be proud to do so, and attack people who say its a bad idea. Such is the world of Microtransactions and DLC in the Games industry. Truly, we are living in the dark ages.
