Rockstar ruined the super car class... And prob will run racing soon.

Why release all these high priced super cars like the Pfister and Proto X80, along with all the usuals like the Zentorno, Entity, FMJ, Reaper, Osiris, and T20 only to later release three super race cars that just bury them all?

 

That's so f'ing stupid. Super car class had the most parity. Now it's just going to be races between 3 cars.

 

1. These new super cars should be in their own class or be tuned to resemble the other ones at least to where the other ones can hang with catchup on.

 

2. They really need to also tune sidewalk riding boost and make it to where sports and tuner wheels do as much for you as dirt tires. So everyone can take those ugly as dirt tires off their clean looking rides.

 

I love racing in this game. But Rockstar is starting to make it no fun.

This is true; they seem to have the timing down perfectly as well in regards to how and when each car is released.

 

GTA is far from a serious racing game though; it can be fun, but it can be incredibly frustrating as well.

I agree they should be in a separate class or there should be something of a balance between all vehicles with each displaying their own strengths and weaknesses, but catch-up is a bit absurd in the first place. This option should be at least defaulted to OFF, but I suppose if they are going to ruin the class balances even more, it no longer matters in the long run.

 

As well, pavement boosting just needs to be eliminated entirely. Hands down, this is the most ridiculous element in the game from a racing perspective. In addition, all of the lamp posts need to be grounded and able to stop a car dead in its tracks. How many races do you see where those who are aware of pavement boosting ride the pavement and take down every other post in the process? Too many!

 

I don't know, I just don't take racing seriously anymore--it's more of just something to do, and believe it or not, I quite like the tracks from the latest update. They're heaps better than those gimmicky wall-ride races that are floating around out there.

What do you mean? I've beaten the X80, 811, and the new supers with my Zentorno.

Well what should they do, people complain about most supers having a limit to their top speed. People also complain about spending a ton of money on a vehicle that isn't the best performing. Not every car should go about the same speed, if they did then nothing would justify the higher prices. If someone wants something better, then they should pay more money.

 

Also, look at when the banshee came to Benny's. So many people complained that it wasn't fast enough so rockstar made it way faster.

 

Racing in gta is not like real life. In here there are no tight restrictions such as weight or engine displacement so you can expect unbalance. If its about rockstar releasing faster cars every update then think about this: if the newer cars were just as slow as the Bullet, then you can expect a lot of players b*tching about it, complaining about how they cant win most races with them. Exactly how they did with the Banshee.

I understand its not a racing game, but there shouldnt be cheesy bs like curb riding and dirt tires being more effective that sport tires.

 

The option that really needs adding is for hosts to be able to make races car-specific.

Offroad was wrecked from go with the Sanchez, all the Sanchezier really does is negate the original as just another also-ran.

 

Compacts is still pretty dynamic. Brisio removed the need for the Panto, as the Panto's sole power was top speed at the cost of everything else. Now, the Brisio's got the Panto's speed beat, and top accelleration.. The difference being it's an unstable little beast and if anyone bumps you you're gonna go flying.

 

So, compacts is still nicely split: You've got the Brisio for speed/accel, and nothing else. The Rhapsody has the slowest speed and acceleraiton, but with RWD has handling down pat and the Weeny/Blista are nicely tied for "all round best."

 

I sold my Rhapsody for the Brisio. I'm still not sure if I made the right choice or not, but I'm keeping my Blista.

Its inevitable that new cars will be superior to old cars. Sometimes we get cars like Nightshade or Lynx which drive (below)average,is it good then?Good handling, oversteer, understeer, top speed, every aspect has been dealt with already, its a little saturated.. I agree , they could make it a lot more interesting by adding a hyper class, and splitt Off road class, always find it odd that the off road bikes are also in the bikes section...

Nevertheless, racing has become a whole new ball game by adding the premium races, love it! Practicing and then racing the track, sometimes i am really shaking, sweating, heart pumping. Would be even more exciting if we had pink slip races...

Unorganized races with random people were always crap. The matchmaking was never strong enough to support custom tracks or full lobbies, and the playerbase wasn't skilled enough to turn off catchup or take the first corner without causing a pileup. Nothing of value was lost; if you wanted to have a good race you had to do it with people you know. Point being, you can still use your old supers in organized races, and hell you can still use them in random races because everyone else is going to crash and PIT each other anyway.

No offence this thread seems like a "I just bought an x80 and R* then decides to release 3 cars which are faster not a month later." As such as someone who's last super purchase was a Sultan RS frankly this sort of thing doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that I can't use the Gargoyle or the sport rally cars in off-road races. =/

The Brawler can do very well in off-road races if you're good at using it. I mean, it is the fastest off-roader in the game.

Yeah because people are so aggressive. I passed this guy and his X80 the other day in my Zenny and he tried to PIT me, he missed and flew right into the forest and exploded! xD people really hate getting passed in a race.

old gen yes indeed, but we on cg got the very dreadfull gift of an other overpowered motorbike that can be raced in the sport class and sh*ts over the coil voltic in every way possible except protection, which is a minor thing considering its so damn overpowered and even a bike seem to be able to pit cars in this game pretty often

Statements like this are all well and good.....but completely fallacious. Sure, you CAN beat these cars. Even beat the fully modded ones with a damned Faggio, but you'd be hard-pressed to do so against racers with actual skill. I'd be willing to bet you merely joined up with some random matchmaking race.

 

 

That said, while I do take my racing fairly seriously, I don't see GTA as a serious racer. I buy the cars I want to run in freemode or missions, and then just use stock variants in races, though I have taken to a few of the race cars. Personally, I'm going to wait until I get my Logitech G29 to do any super serious racing in a serious racing game.

It was that race on the highways (I forget the name) so the roads were mostly straight, with mostly light turns.

The only thing i cant bear is those off road tyres. That is bullsh*t to let a sport or super to have them for better performance, Cmon rockstar thats ridiculous.

Those three new super cars sure should have their own class but their price are not overpriced, still can be earned from a legit player in few times. So thats fine for me.(Not pay to win)

You really have to with supers in certain races. I'm not willing to concede before the race even begins. I don't like any of the newest supers.
