Yea man, you can max it out on 1024, no problem.

If not, blame cpu gen.

Something is wrong with your PC, but it's probably not the GpU

MSAA x4
TSAA on
Vsync on (60hz Dell monitor @ 2560x1080)

Density half
Scalings, distances on shadows and advanced graphics all maxed

Textures Very High
Shaders "
Shadows "
Reflections "
Reflections MSAA x4
Water Very High
Particles "

Soft Shadows PCSS
Post FX normal (not a fan of the lens flare/blur whatever effect)
AF x16
Tesselation High

Grass Normal (sucks)

I am cool with everything but if I change MSAA to 8x Frame rates drop to unplayable amounts, same with grass to High+

1070 SC 2063MHz. handles every other game on ultra with the exception of 'The Division' and it's about the same as GTA V: All highest mixes of ultra and NVIDA settings.

Wondering if the FTW does any better?

Do you really need the MSAA? Turn that off and make everything else maxed :p

i doubt you have everything maxed out in advanced settings..... :santa:

frame scalling at max?

anyway who needs 8xMsaa or any other type of AA when playing at 1440p and up

I notice a huge difference in MSAA settings, regardless of resolution.

changed mine to
MSAA x2
Reflections MSAA x8
Grass High

No need for frame scaling. I prefer MSAA settings. I have heard people say this about 1440+ and up, but I think it's BS. If I could play on 4k with x8 MSAA, I would.

....and right back down to grass normal after a days worth of frame rate drops.

i do that test.. maximum settings possible. 1080p + Frame Scaling 2.5x(4k textures basicly) + 8 msaa

now to normal gameplay this card totally moves the game at 1080p ultra + msaa x8... recomended MSAA X2 + FXAA in GTA:O

at what resolution? I want proof of even 1080p maxed. screw frame scaling... just show me maxed msaa and ultra grass among everything else with a solid 60fps. SOLID: that means never below.

why on earth people need so many AA?s are you playing on a 40" monitor?

i only have a 24" and on 1440p i can hardly see any jagged edges, with just 2x and the game looks amazing

x8aa's LMAO

24" @ 1440p... but whai?

thank you for the video, proves exactly what I was getting at even at 1080p. I play at a 2560x1080 and notice a huge difference in AA settings especially when moving around.

isn't ultra or maxed out kind of WHY we build such nice PC's? if I am given the option, I would like to take advantage of it.

Game needs 4x MSAA due to issues with the object pop-in system. If below 4x, it'll cause kinda pixelated objects before you get close enough to load them in (if they are half-loaded in, as your about 10-100 feet from them). I've tested this on multiple hardware configurations.

i can give you 2 reasons why

1: it looks better then 1080p

2: still have to wait 1 more month to buy a Pg348Q

if I had a 24" 1440p the dpi would be like 150% lol. I need to increase it a bit even on my 2560x1080 @ 29".

I have everything on ultra or highest except for shadows which I have on very high. I don't use msaa or any advanced settings except for resolution scale to 1.5x. I usually get anywhere from 70-90 fps in the city on average, it can drop quite a bit in countryside areas with a lot of grass.
