Jammsbro
I'm curious if anyone knows whether or not the current version of San Andreas will exist or be scrapped in the next version of GTAO? I remember reaing that the next version will include this version and that each new game will simply expand the physical universe. But then recently the heads have said that GTAO won't last forever. So does this mean that San Andreas will be retired? I like to think that it could be expanded. Rather than have the same San Andreas it could be set ten or twenty years after the 2013 version which would give rockstar the ability to recreate San Andreas and change many of the things that most players disliked about the map. It would also allow them to include a well loved playground while making it fresh again. After all the basic model is there.
DimitriFaustin
I believe Rockstar has said that Los Santos and Blaine County are only the southern portion of the state of San Andreas in the HD Universe. Surely, Rockstar is continuing on in the HD games, so I don't think San Andreas will be retired yet. I think it's way too soon for that to happen. Dlee13
I always liked the idea of R* releasing 3 games within 1-2 years of each other. So it could have been - GTA V (Los santos) in 2013 - GTA San Fierro in 2015 - GTA Las Venturas in 2017 If you look at the 3D era, they were a few years apart but are still the best games IMO. I understand the way games are developed has change which affects this but it would have been great to explore all 3 cities in great detail. Gtaman_92
San Andreas in V wasn't even the entire state so I doubt they will discontinue it. If anything they will probably do Northern San Andreas within the next decade. Zello
Zello
V was just southern San Andreas so I'm sure there are other parts of the state that they haven't shown
