Why is it so hard to earn money?

It is like you play gta V online its like how are you able to enjoy playing the online version if you are unable to buy anything because of the ridiculous prices and how little you earn per mission/heist its stupid yet they do not do anything about it.

Why is it so hard to earn money in this game? like seriously, if they are going to put the prices of vehicles and things so high why make it so you only get between 15 and 25 thousand per job, there is no point in doing heist because barely anyone equally pays the group so right there all you are really going to get is between 60 and 80 thousand, its stupid. Rockstar should either lower the prices of the stuff within the game or make it a bit easier to earn money within the game seriously.

Rockstar wants you to buy them Shark Cards mate

Yet what they dont realise is not everyone can afford it and too be honest its one of the main reasons that have made me not wanting to play the game anymore because of this issue.

They do realise, which is why you don't have to buy them.

It's actually quite easy to make money compared to before. There are many options and payouts are bigger than months and years ago. Heck, I made like $30,000 just by doing a few of the new stunt races with a couple randoms and had a blast and some laughs. We got heists. Higher and more reasonable mission payouts. New game modes. And more. It's WAY easier making money than it was a year ago. Sure, some payouts have been a tad nerfed, but it isn't so bad. Now, admittedly I don't play the game much. So the money I make in the game isn't much. But I manage. You gotta manage how you play. I used to farm all day in the game and hated it. I honestly couldn't take it. Now that I get out more, have a job, don't play as much, work on my cars, and do more than sit around and game, I don't mind a little farm here and there. Heck, I had so much fun since the Cunning Stunts update dropped. Don't constantly farm or play the game so much. Take breaks to prevent any stress or impatience. Helped me a lot. Making money isn't really difficult, really. Just saving up to huge numbers can seem tiresome and monotonous.

It isn't hard to earn money. Remember a cheetah and a zen were 750k and 500k. Now everything is insultingly expensive.

I don't and won't buy cards so I am limited to what I can get nowadays. I used to be able to grind and get most things but with multiple cars sitting at several millions, every property costing a fortune, Benn'y being a total rip off and now even clothes costing hundreds of thousands, Rockstar really are pricing themselves out of shark card buyers.

I wouldn't say it's hard to earn money.

It's just very time consuming... because well obviously the not-so "micro"-transactions. Just like any cell phone game.

GTA online is the greatest free to play cell phone game on console.

Some money saving tips I use.

I never use body armor unless during a heist and if I absolutely need to.

never use explosives during contact missions use pegasus vehicles (my pick hydra, only downside it's a one seater),

restricted use of explosives during freeroam (unless you need the fire power or are having fun with stickies/proxys)

try not to blow up PV too much.

spawn the money making machine that is the hydra (it costs 200$ and if used right you only need to spawn one and you can make good money running VIP work and collecting bounties/blowing up crates in between cooldowns. Or collecting crates can make some good money pared with VIP if you know what you are doing.)

If you are a driver use your garage to fix your PV.

I'm sure I have a few other tips on saving money I can't think of right now.

Finally a money making tip, mug people occasionally. Try to catch a higher level off guard, I think rank 100+ gets mugged up to 10k -1k for the call so 9k on a successful mugging more if the player has a bounty. Don't waste money mugging low levels.

These are ways I save money, might not work for everyone but it has worked for me. The only other thing I suggest to make money is work. By work I mean don't walk/drive/fly around aimlessly doing nothing, if you aren't on a job, any job, you are wasting time.

How much the mugger gets away with isn't determined by rank, it's whatever money they have on them that isn't banked, the maximum a mugger can steal is 10k. "Low levels" could be second characters, of which money is shared from their first character, and "high levels" like me might bank every cent, in which case you'd get nothing out of mugging me. It's really pot luck

Yes it's a matter of luck if you get good money or not. Still my favorite thing to do.

I'm sure it's based on rank. Also based on money held too but I'm almost positive it's based on rank.

Rank 93 gets mugged up to 9300

Rank 100+ gets mugged up to 10000

I'm sure that's how it works. At the very least it's a factor.

Edit* when I say more if the player has a bounty I only mean if you claim it too. The max is 10k. So up to 10k from mugging and an extra 1-9k if the victim has a bounty that you claim. You'd be surprised how many people have cash on them for the taking.

(Sorry if I'm doing this wrong.)

I made about 200k in one hour and half yesterday.

How? Doing the easier contact missions, preferably the assasination ones were I don't have to fire more than 5 bullets to save ammo and get the job done.

For the harder ones where I can just blow everything up, I call my Hydra or Savage to save even more on ammo.

You guys on current gen have even more opportunities to make easy cash by doing CEO and VIP work, so honestly, while everything has become more expensive in the game nowadays, the opportunities to make money also increased so you just need to play it smart.

and you don't NEED the new stuff, if the new stuff was priced at what things were at launch, we'd get bored super fast because it means that with something like $3m you'd be able to buy all the new stuff whenever an update comes out, that's redonkulous.

I'll tell you I'm almost level 400, never glitched and I'm struggling these days. In the past I only got huge amounts of money on events, double payout on heist, double payout on missions (2 times) and double payout on VIP jobs. I hope they do soon some double payout on cargo deliveries, this would be awesome.

It really isn't hard to make money in this game. It helps immensely having at least 1-2 friends of course, but even in my lone wolf days, never had an issue with cash flow.

We had a college guy who would be in our party chats constantly bickering/moaning about his lack of funds even though he had so much free time (light class load/slacker type) and on GTAO for hours and hours every day. Never would join our heists, races, captures, Free Roam VIP/CEO activities, etc.

He WOULD spend all his time trying to non stop kill against low levels and blow up PVs. Guy got into bad sport, rage left GTAO for a month, came back with modded account, then got caught for cheating and we never heard from him again.

Haha, I have a full large warehouse waiting on my second character just in case there's ever a Double RP/$$ CEO warehouse selling weekend.

It'll never happen IMO, but damn it'd be sweet for a 4.4 million payout on that reserved warehouse.

So basicly, another one cancerous try hard kid who thinks this game is just another PvP warzone?

Good grief he's gone.

There is no problem to make 1.25kk per 20 min for 4 persons. It is 300k per 20 min. Good result.

Just farming Pacific nonstop) U don't know how?)

Just made 1m in a hour tonight doing pac standard glitch 4 times while I was a filler, if I was a host I would've earned 1.5m.

If you were a host u will have nothing by using glitch.Do the first payee at 70% then the next until you get 70% until it's your turn and finish normally Edited by TCA

It's not hard, just a bit time consuming and repetitive. You can grind heist finales, LTS matches that payout upwards of 40k and once you reach 1.8 million buy an office and medium warehouse and play those in solo public sessions. You can use head hunter to pay for the crates. If you can be bothered filling up a medium warehouse in one sitting, you earn 725k for a successful sale. Again, not hard but you have to be bothered putting the time in. If you sell one a day for a week, you've made an easy 5 million.

after playing for a a few days with the limited free time i have i have managed to get the 1 mill office and a small warehouse the thing is i can never find solo sessions to do the crates in and its a bit difficult when you always have idiots who are only on to ruin your day when all you are trying to do is enjoy yourself yanno.

I agree. Some missions have gotten a lot harder for no extra money. Thats why no one do them anymore. I guess the best way is to save up to become a VIP or a CEO. Or you can buy shark cards....but they now have little effect now that cars are like 2-3 gazillion dollars now. Not even sure that any of them are faster than the adder

Fun fact; They are. The 811, X80 Proto and the Banshee 900R are faster, and the FMJ has the same top speed but also has handling.

Because R* wants you to get frustrated by the lack of new content for single player. You are forced to play online to get the new content. You are forced to pay for this content with virtual money. There are two official ways to get virtual money. You grind or you buy virtual money with real money. This creates an incentive for R* to make obtaining money by playing the game difficult in order to get players to buy shark cards. Any one with a basic knowledge of business can see that.

I'm glad I quit playing GTA online 2 years ago. I didn't want to encourage R* to do this. But R* is stuck doing this because they f*cked over their lead producer. So say bye bye to any R* games of similar quality to their previous games.

Lolwot even some of the OG supers are faster than the Adder. It's never been the fastest land vehicle in the game anyway. Since at least early this year, Rockstar have been giving us cars that make the Adder look like a complete joke and it was only ever good for it's straight line speed, and even then, that's not the be all end all.

Like elfoam says, you can change your mtu settings, but there are other ways too. You can use xlag on insane while online is loading, that guarantees me I'll be alone in public session every time. Another way (for me at least) is to load straight into online from the start up screen.

You can make 500k in 3-3.5 hours by doing VIP missions.

I made 800k on Sunday alone.

Why the f*ck do I gotta be restricted to grinding those sh*tfest bullsh*t with aimbot npc.

I have around an hour or two to play during weekdays, and 5 (if lucky) on sunday. There's not enough time, and ain't buying any cash cards. Wasting real money on virtual money is beyond ridiculous, I prefer to give a homeless guy 10 bucks.

No it's not that making money is hard, it's that everything is overpriced now. It's about 25k just for a leather jacket, that's three missions grinds of blow up. Now imagine the Zentoro being released last week. Likely would be about $2M.

Isn't enough time for what? These things aren't limited edition, you know - they'll be around as long as the game is available.

If you have to have them right this very instant that's your business, or you can take your time and earn the money when you have the time to play, and you'll get that car at some point.

At some point I'll be playing Watch_Dogs 2 or Mafia III, at some point my interest in GTA:O will dwindle (it does already), at some point I might have kids.

So yea, there's not enough time to grind few weeks to get 1 car and then money for modifications. Also there are other cars I want.

You might say "well that's your problem", and you might be right. Then again, I've seen topics like that before so I guess I'm not alone in this.
