Why is it so hard to earn money?

Money isn't hard to earn in my opinion. We have multiple ways on earning money which soon adds up. VIP work, missions, heists and all the other jobs. Do Criminal Mastermind and that will pretty much set you up. The only time when earning money was hard was at launch.

I made a new character on a new account less than a week ago.. already own an office and a savage along with 2 10 car garages. It's actually EXTREMELY easy to make money in this game, especially now.. making money during launch was hard, this is a cake walk.

Hard?, i just made 4.4M today, and i only played a couple hours. Is not hard, it's a lot of work, not the same thing.

C* f*cked everything up with Heists DLC, in-game items previous to that date are cheap, so you can have them pretty easy, which turns out to decrease the value of having it in the first place, items added after the Heists DLC, specially after E&OC and FAF&F, are incredibly overpriced to cope with the fact that jobs have been giving players a lot more money than what the game did when it started.

Basically, they f*cked up the balance, they made original and DLC items previous to Heists DLC feel like cheap crap and everything that came after is too expensive, and they don't seem to be wanting to fix the whole thing adjusting every item price, they just keep throwing gas into the fire, we're about to brake the 3M price tag for new cars, when the most expensive car was the Adder, at 1M.

Is a lot like inflation, but just for new things.

To be fair, you only made that money because you already knew how to make it. I did the same thing and made a second character, within three days he had all the weapons he needed, an office and half a mill in spending money. It takes hours, but you're right in that it's easy to 'get your foot in the door', so to speak. If you know what you're doing.

Getting the multiple millions needed to finance the content for DLCs is another matter. That sh*t takes days and days.

Wish I was on whichever platform you are on OP so that I can help you make money. It's quite easy to make money if you are willing to invest some time into it.

Money comes veeeery easy now that we have CEO crates, I can go up 10 mil at will anytime. Haven't been able to do that for a long long time.

Fail_At_GTA

Just do heists, become a CEO, buy a Hydra, fly around public sessions taking bounties and doing all the random events with headhunter and some crates inbetween. Makes a lot per hour.

Just made 1m in a hour tonight doing pac standard glitch 4 times while I was a filler, if I was a host I would've earned 1.5m.

I made 800k without bugging anything *cough pac stand cough* in 2-3 hours while enjoying my morning coffee. It's not even remotely hard. You just need to do sh*t. I just ran a crapload of headhunter/sightseer and filled down times with point to point. Friend and I had fun, make a good chunk of change, and didn't even have to deal with randumbs in the process.

If you're willing to spent the time and effort in it, you can make money. Before VIP, I grinded contact-missions. If you're lucky and have a good group of friends, you can grind pacific Standard Job and make effortlessly LOTS of money... I switched to VIP-grinding after the contact-missions... Then I switched to CEO-grinding (but with a steep investmentcost (office and warehouse(s))... I can easily make 4.4 million in about 7-9 days (one large warehouse and three medium warehouses). And there are folks out there that can even grind it lots more, but it's back to Pacific mostly and that's something I'm so tired off, so...

You can do it, but you need to start doing it right now. Not wait until another DLC drops in and you don't have the money to spent on it...YOu need to have that pile of cash ready before the DLC lands, or you're indeed in world full of hurt...

ANd yep, Rockstar wants to sell shark cards, thus the high prices...But in the end, they're a company and need to make a profit too. Nothing's free in this world.. I buy a card from time to time too. I don't have to, but I want to to keep their stuff coming towards us as well...

They don't "need" to unfairly nickle and dime their customers in the manner that they do. Thats just mindless. They make plenty of money off the base game. Theyre just double dipping out of greed. Sick of this "they have no choice" nonsense narrative being pushed. Edited by Maibatsu545

Why is it so hard to earn money in this game? like seriously, if they are going to put the prices of vehicles and things so high why make it so you only get between 15 and 25 thousand per job, there is no point in doing heist because barely anyone equally pays the group so right there all you are really going to get is between 60 and 80 thousand, its stupid. Rockstar should either lower the prices of the stuff within the game or make it a bit easier to earn money within the game seriously.

There is no problem to make 1.25kk per 20 min for 4 persons. It is 300k per 20 min. Good result.

Just farming Pacific nonstop) U don't know how?)

Just made 1m in a hour tonight doing pac standard glitch 4 times while I was a filler, if I was a host I would've earned 1.5m.

If you were a host u will have nothing by using glitch.

It's easy, you just gotta be patient and play a few heists/missions. I've made 6 million (which I'm stuck on cuz I hardly play anymore) in a few weeks.

Yeah R*, how dare you try to make us play the game so that we can obtain new stuff you put in. You should just give it to us for nothing because we should not have to waste our time earning it! *shakes fist*

That'll tell em'

Yes, I agree. In the past game companies plan the games so, that the games was fun to play. Nowadays the primary target is micro transactions aka milking money.

I'm an old gen billionaire, there's nothing left to buy nor has been in a year.

The memories I have of grinding to save money and buy new cars, were brilliant.

I have no plans to upgrade til ps5/gta6 come out and then maybe il be one of the first. But I'm looking forward to that.

When heists came out, whatever I unlocked I was able to buy instantly, savage, hydra, gold luxors etc etc but nothing was satisfying like buying my first carbonizairre when every mission was new and I didn't know what to do.

Just enjoy the sense of purpose that you have cos when you own everything or have the money to buy everything, life starts to get a little dull

I find it easy to make money. If I could be bothered I could grind missions solo to 300-400k in one day.

Im sorry but making money in gta especially now is easier than it has ever been! you have ceo missions, pac standard glitch, I mean ffs you can earn 10k for just standing around and doing nothing and get money for being a good sport lol! so yeah just get group of decent players with mics and either do ceo missions or pac standard and your gold!

It's easy, just incredibly boring. If you find doing crappy hacking minigames and flying your chopper for 10 minutes every 10 minutes to be fun.. then.. more power to you?
Personally, I'd rather do something that's actually fun.

Well with this update, I would say there's now even more possibilities of making money (eg those $100,000 races). Of course, you've gotta' be good, but then if you're serious about making money, that's always possible.

no not really...they put a goddamn timer on those things if you wil....not sure how long, but it is sure more then 10 minutes

Would you rather they were removed from the game entirely?

I'm giving options, not the solutions. Hell, I make money quite happily enough flying in a P996 Lazer and targetting bounties - but that's just me, and is by no means a money earning "method" (but then I don't spend much).

since there is a timer like that on it i cant help to think that they are not really worth the efford or a money thing.

it is yet more a limitation....and i totaly dislike limitations.

though not sure about the overall length of the time limit....if its longer then lets say 45 minutes, it pretty much becomes a useless option and there are far better things to grind money.

then it would be rather just an other gamemmode you simply play for fun, not money.

and in this case,....well, why would you play this mode just for fun if you got stunt races in general ?

i really was liking this gamemode untill i found out they put a goddamn timer on the thing....thats just ridiculous

Dude, those premium races are the most obvious money drain. I won my fourth one so I still made a profit, however I could've used that same time to make a bigger profit from other gamemodes. I won't be touching those premium races again.

Yes, there are ways to make a lot of money, but none of the official ones is really good. Playing the Pac Standard final over and over again is a glitch, just like car dupe glitches; they are not supposed to exist. And the reason for this is kinda obvious: Shark cards.

Sure, it wouldn't be fun to get all these things without working for them, but all regular money making methods are too slow/too boring/repetitive

I wouldn't say it's hard to earn money.

It's just very time consuming... because well obviously the not-so "micro"-transactions. Just like any cell phone game.

GTA online is the greatest free to play cell phone game on console.

Some money saving tips I use.

I never use body armor unless during a heist and if I absolutely need to.

never use explosives during contact missions use pegasus vehicles (my pick hydra, only downside it's a one seater),

restricted use of explosives during freeroam (unless you need the fire power or are having fun with stickies/proxys)

try not to blow up PV too much.

spawn the money making machine that is the hydra (it costs 200$ and if used right you only need to spawn one and you can make good money running VIP work and collecting bounties/blowing up crates in between cooldowns. Or collecting crates can make some good money pared with VIP if you know what you are doing.)

If you are a driver use your garage to fix your PV.

I'm sure I have a few other tips on saving money I can't think of right now.

Finally a money making tip, mug people occasionally. Try to catch a higher level off guard, I think rank 100+ gets mugged up to 10k -1k for the call so 9k on a successful mugging more if the player has a bounty. Don't waste money mugging low levels.

These are ways I save money, might not work for everyone but it has worked for me. The only other thing I suggest to make money is work. By work I mean don't walk/drive/fly around aimlessly doing nothing, if you aren't on a job, any job, you are wasting time.

I counted, that if I do Sightseer in invite only session (solo) and I want to earn 10 million - it takes about 134 days, if I play one hour in a day. That sounds like fun...
