Premium Races

I've yet to try one. Now that I'm used to stunt races, I figure I'm about ready.

The whole racing lobbies seem to be farked - can never get into a Premium race as the On Call counter keeps resetting, then when in the lobby, if someone drops out, it just hangs.

 

Last couple of days, it's been impossible to join Stunt Races without getting stuck in the clouds for 30 mins or more.

i would only go premium races if you are really good at it or you are decent and you need some rp

 

if you are an exelent racer, you can miss some money and you want to rank up your (2nd) character up fast no matter what, i honestly would go for it and try to finish second all the time

What aiming setting do you play on? I don't know if you're aware of this but for some reason free aim players can only participate in a lobby with other free aim players. If you want the best chance of finding full premium race lobbies go to single player, change the aim setting to "assisted aim-full" (auto aim basically, the most popular setting) and try joining another premium race online.

From my experience, it helps if you are in a public lobby and in auto aim.

I was not aware. I was playing on assisted aim partial most of the time but switching it to full aim seemed to do the trick. Thank you!

Premium race as of today is 'Plummet' ; all supercars permitted.

 

I advise you to not even turn up if you don't own an RE-7B.

Was excited to see premium race back, got turned away because its Plummet, the most boring of all the stunt races. Screw doing that over and over!

I think after a week, any of them will get boring. But look at the bright side. At least its not a bike race.

I'm not doing a premium race for entertainment value, I'm doing it for the money.

 

That said, however, one of the five or six times I played the premium race yesterday, I got taken out at the first downhill and clawed back a fifteen second deficit to win by 0.2 seconds, and man, that entire comeback was so exciting, it felt amazing. Only made better by the fact I had my fav music on Spotify playing through the headset.

In case anyone missed it, Stunt Races are double GTA$ and RP until the 25th. At 40-60K for most wins, Premium Plummet can eat my ass.

Plummet's one of the best races to showcase how broken the RE-7B is. Yet there we have Rockstar's Newswire, trying to swindle people by saying "put your discounted X80 or Tyrus to good use in this week's Premium Stunt Race: Plummet".

 

Yeah, I guess watching RE-7B's drive away is a good use.

If the race lobby gets 8 players and it makes all the On Call players join, but then someone quits, it will never refill, never start.

Is it locked to 10k RP per race? Just asking as I did not play the game the last two months. I read that it's triple RP for all the participants. So with the current bonus it'd be 6x the amount?

 

Also could someone kindly post a pic of the leaderboard with the RP payouts if they exceed 10k with the recent double $ and RP week?

Races have an RP cap at 5000 which you'll hit after 4mins racing, iirc (if you win). Premiums pay triple and so have a cap at 15000.

FYI there's apparently a glitch that means no cooldown for podium places. Not tried it myself but its out there.

IMO personal vehicles should not be allowed in those premium races. Especially that most of them are super-autos only, let alone a specific one.
