I've gotta say, it almost feels worth the 20 real bucks I had to shove out to buy it. Why would I do such a thing? Well 1) I have no time to grind, I'm not even supposed to be playing with my eye issues but I need a little fun right now and 2) I just had to have this car. And I don't regret my purchase. Nope. Not one bit! All of the sh*t that's been said about this car; it lacks identity, it performs bad, it looks generic, it's worthless. Blasphemy. Utter blasphemy. This car is all about flash but that's not solely what took me in. Yes I was excited when I first saw this car but driving it is a different story. First off, it's a GT car based on the F-Type R Coupe, mine also has some MC Stradale influence in the front. It's not made to be a track car and if you know ANYTHING about the Jag, it's not that "fast" or much of a great track car. But on the road... ...Oh boy... This thing is beguiling, enthralling, so damn obnoxious. From the raunchy start up sound to the pops and crackles when you lift off the throttle. But the way it handles. Oh god I can't explain. No it isn't a turn on a dime 100% accurate super car with a robotic transmission. But it is fun as f*ck. Oh sh*t. it powerslides and drifts like crazy, you can do burnouts and donuts for hours. It is wild. I'll be waiting at a stop light and as soon as it turns green, I floor it and hear that growl and the car slides with so much theater and attitude as I veer right onto the next street. Acceleration is rough. It's not extremely fast but all of the wheelspin and noise makes it so fun. Not to mention this car has a suspension so it floats and flops about adding to that theater. This is exactly how the F-Type R Coupe is. Exactly. Nailed it, R*. And that interior is H.O.T. hot! Orange stitching. f*ck the wheel. Who gives a damn? That low slung windshield and sleek bodywork from the outside makes the interior look so right. Overpriced? Okay, yeah. But that's it. This thing is everything I wanted and more. All of the hate for it is kind of stupid in my honest opinion. This is one badass car. I seriously cannot justify spending 1.7 million dollars on a sports class car... you can get much faster and equally beautiful supercars for that money. This car cost twice as much as what it really should. You would think a company like rockstar would understand that there is a point when a car costs too much to a point where it's not even worth buying. It SHOULD be expensive but it should be REASONABLY expensive. With that being said, this is a car which looks beautiful from all angles and has great customization options! At least not the people complaining about it's price. If anything, it's an indication of the disproval of such a wonderful, wanted car being so stupidly overpriced. That's it. No hate, well, none toward the car at least. I usually roll my eyes at every C* comment and dig about shark cards. Rockstar is a company after all, with an intention of turning a profit; and if the rich kid's parents want to pour real dollars for game dollars I say let them. They are essentially paying my way for free DLC content. And before that comment insults any of the working GTA population I also fully support the reality that real time equals real dollars, and if a shark card costs less than the real money lost grinding x hours to achieve the same end, then have at it and buy those cards. That seems a legit argument and makes absolute sense. Thankfully I had plenty of money saved since launch day and haven't needed to purchase any cards to fund my GTA car dreams. But I am in that same boat, and if needed I wouldn't hesitate to buy a shark card or two, as the real money lost from sitting on my a$$ grinding away would be substantially higher than that in-game currency cost. But I'm with the masses on this one and I honestly hope that it was a simple input error. I would gladly pay the 735k for this car. That would make perfect sense to me; AND gladly pay another 1 M between benny's upgrades and LSC upgrades to turn it into a proper competitive gt3 inspired racer (what the sultan and banshee should have been). Rockstar is missing some potential there among it's racer community. Or maybe they are not as many are happy to pay the sticker price. But back on topic..... there is no hate; and also, please dial back the hurt and personal sting from those who don't agree. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and not every opinion is a personal attack. It is after all just a stunning, but ludicrously and overly priced game car. It's a beautiful tragedy. None of the options seem right to me, and considering the performance most players will probably be seeing the front end in their rear view mirror. A very beautiful car but the price is way too high and the performance are not acceptable for that reason. Should probably wait for discounts before buying it Yeah, my thinking exactly. Also, have you figured out how to put custom colors through Social Club?I haven't actually tried yet, I just joined a crew with custom black as their crew color so I could get it on my roof and mirrors. But yeah I am digging this car. I don't think I've truly experienced it that much yet though. Our receiver is getting touched up and so I've had to listen to the game from my TV's awful sound system. After reading all the 'hate' towards this car I dropped the 1.7 for the car and very happy I did, sure it has a big price tag, but I feel I definitely got what I paid for. One of my favorite looking cars, plus I love the way it handles. I should also mention the engine sounds are excellent and it can drift...my current favorite car.I did dump my Seven-70 for it which is perfectly fine as I was not driving it much...I am also considering dumping the 811 to make up some of the cash too, but I'm currently sitting at 2 million and do not have any money worries. During a heist some guy with a Truffade decided to ride with me instead just to get a look at the car. Speaking of heists, this is a badass work car. How many of you moaning about the price wasted millions on a pointless yacht? Yachts were underpriced (per the games economy) by a massive level. So you'd of been happy to pay millions more? Anyway, that's another subject. The fact is, there has been tons of other stuff for sale that isn't the best, and even though they've been very expensive people have been happy to buy them. Either way, if you like it then buy it, simple as that really Don't get me wrong, the Lynx is ridiculously overpriced. I was expecting it to be in the 600k range (still spendy for a Sports class car) 1.7 mil, figure 2 mil ready to roll? lolnope. I want this car, but not that much. My point was, technically yachts were severely underpriced by GTA to real world conversions. I already have multiple proper race vehicles for the Sports class, and did not expect the Lynx to become my new racing vehicle, nor for it to have good racing performance. 2. I have a sh*t ton of money, enough to last me till the release of Forza Horizon 3 with semi-reckless spending. 3. I like how the car looks and sounds from the get go, and now like how it handles as a cruise car. Sounds like I've made a rational decision to burn that 1.75 million, which means that you and your statement are the real moron.
