Obey Omnis Discussion

"The Obey Omnis was the poster child of the golden age of rallying, a period of deregulated innocence when a turbo-charged tin can could plough through a crowd of spectators on a muddy embankment and there wasn't a damn thing the big government could do about it. This one is for the fans."

I only hope it sounds like a 5cyl engine. Regardless, probably looking forward to this car the most, along with the Stratos, F1 & Trophy Trucks...

I want it without widebody!

How much is it?

$701,000, if memory serves. Sounds awesome - lots of raspy mechanical noise from the gearbox, turbo, wastegate, etc. :)

Just got it: no non-widebody option. There is, however, the option to get that big spoiler the rally quattro used to use.

I appreciate the ability to remove the spoiler, but I really wish it would also turn it into a hatchback instead of a hybrid-coupe.

Nontheless, this is easily my second favorite vehicle in this update.

We haven't had such beautiful music come out of a vehicle since the Stirling GT.

Nice job landing that appreciation thread spot tho

It's not hard when you start it hours before the DLC goes live and you don't even know what it's called.

I mean for f*cks sake how about I just start a thread today called "Discussion thread for some future car"? I might not come out for two months but f*ck it, I'll be first.

On topic: This car has paintable stock wheels. Not in LSC, of course, but using the well-known glitch, you can paint them.

How to Paint Stock Wheels

1. Buy any set of aftermarket non-chrome wheels. I believe the cheapest are $3500 in the Muscle class. You're not keeping the wheels, so it doesn't matter what you get, so be cheap.

2. Paint the wheels in the color of your choice.

3. Exit LSC.

4. Use the iFruit app to apply stock wheels to the car. Submit the order.

5. Wait for the notification, then take the car into LSC and process the order.

If your car has paintable stock wheels, they will now be painted. However, there are two important things to note: Firstly, not all stock wheels can be painted. In general, the ones that have a chrome appearance cannot be, although a few of the chrome-ish ones can be subtly tinted. But for the non-chrome ones, not even all of them can be painted. It's hit or miss, you just have to try and see. Second, for some stock wheels, the color will become darker once you switch back to the stock wheels. Again, you have to test and see. You may need to try a lighter wheel color than what you want just to get it to look the way you want.

I'll have marketing draw up advertisements for this car soon.

By that, I mean I'm going to take some action shots with it, then make it like those ads Rockstar put for the drip-release cars.
