Irish O'African
Note: I did ask before I posted this, and sivispacem gave me the go ahead. Hey guys, I am creating this thread in honor of the five fallen Dallas Police Officers. This thread is to remain CIVIL. Any toxic comments of any kind will be reported. This is a thread to pay respects, and mourn the fallen, not to discuss the recent shooting in Dallas and how you feel about it. I don't want this thread turning toxic like the other one did and it had to be locked because of toxicity. That being said, what I will be doing as well is a End Of Watch call-out, what is normally done over dispatch radio when officers are signing off and for officers who have fallen. It usually includes their unit number or badge number, something I don't have. So I will make do what what I can do. - Rest In Peace, DART Officer Brent Thompson, End Of Watch - July 7th, 2016 - Rest In Peace, Officer Patrick Zamarripa, End Of Watch - July 7th, 2016 - Rest In Peace, Officer Michael Krol, End Of Watch - July 7th, 2016 - Rest In Peace, Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, End Of Watch - July 7th, 2016 - Rest In Peace, Sergeant Michael Joseph Smith End Of Watch - July 7th, 2016 May we honor, pray for, and remember these fallen officers. The Black Band I'm sick of putting this band on my badge, Of seeing another brother fall. Of seeing another sister laid out Upon an altar before us all. Of seeing another family sit, While they recieve a folded flag. And know of the crushing loss they feel, As you can see their shoulders sag. Then I remember what this band means, Recalling the fallen who've gone before. Who gave everything they had, To honor the badge that they wore. By protecting the public from evil that lurks, In the dark recesses of society's mind, By being the last bastion of defense. By being the honored thin blue line. Written by Police Officer Jeffery P. Flachbau
Lately, I had a horrible feeling something bad would have heppened. I just had a gut feeling that somebody would lash out and take their anger out on police. What has happened is horrible, and I just hope from now on we can work towards some sort of peaceful resolution with the current events.

I too wish there can be peace for all, and that all can be united in this time of turmoil. I would also like to than those who posted here so far have remained civil and calm. Guarantee it. Seeing people on my Facebook posting sh*t like "We asked you politely to stop shooting us, now we're going to start shooting back." f*cking disgusting. RIP.
