OpenIV Install/Setup issues

I tried to do a fresh install of OpenIV and was met with this message when I tried to uninstall: "{FATAL] Another copy of setup is runned.". I have tried to uninstall using both the included uninstaller, the control panel feature, and manually deleting the files. I don't have access to the application whatsoever now either.

 

When I try to install I'm met with the same message. I've tried the GTA 5 Mods dl link, and the one directly from OpenIV.com. I've been looking high and low for a solution, but the error seems to be exclusive to OpenIV. What can I do?

 

***No OpenIV processes are open.

Please check your antivirus software (if you have one), some of them might block the installer.

I have the same error, disabled my antivirus but that didn't help, uninstalled all the core elements, etc. still the same error

Something is blocking installer from creating file in temp folder, but I don't know who.

Maybe I will try to change the way installer works in next update.

OpenIV isn't working for me.

I just installed Version 2.8 and installed it via the ovisetup.exe. When i try to start Open IV i get the following message:

 

Fatal: Cant start application

Error Code: CEP -001

Please reinstall application

 

I have already tried to reinstall it and still get the same message. My drivers are up 2 date.

Indeed, the path could be wrong, but i wasn't able to change it during the installation.

 

The current path is A\Downloads\New Technology Studio\Apps\OpenIV\

 

I have all my games and non system files on my SATA Harddrive A and only the windows and registry stuff on my SSD C:

I just want to install some mods for GTA V (ERO, Weapon Sounds, Car Mods etc.) so i tried to install OpenIV on my Laptop, too. Here the installer just closes after the downloading part.

Try to reinstall OpenIV and check if there will be log

I fixed the issue by fiddelign around with the visibility settings for my pc folders and I searched for any files with .black or openiv in the temp folder and found a lock, after I removed it the installer worked again.

 

EDIT: I get this issue now when the program opens

So i was gonna update openiv and i didnt knew my av would block it so i still had it on.

that happened and then it said i had to reinstall openiv. so i uninstalled it but now it wont install anymore (the av was disabled this time).

can someone pls help methats the install log.

Whenever I start OpenIV it shows application was unable to start 0xc0000005 and when I tried reinstalling it started and when I selected gta 5 and clicked browse it gets freezes and closes and after two time it shows the above message again.Help Please

Please fix this problem, I installed OpenIV about 6 months ago, but I deleted LSPDFR, never deleted OpenIV though. I tried to use it this morning and it didnt work, so I deleted and now every time I try and download it there is an error message that states "failed - network error" or "failed download error", and if that doesnt happen then the ovisetup.eve deletes itself from my computer instantly. I've done everything to troubleshoot this, update my pc and antivirus, disabled any and every form of antivirus or protection with no solution. This is outrageous and I just hope that 4.0.1 has a fix.

 ovisetup.eve cannot remove itself. This is cleary indication of some antivirus.

i cant install openiv it always say network error it always crash when it downloaded and will uninstall itself from my pc the closest i got is when it start downloading the app
