Wonder if we will get another newswire post today or tomorrow for vehicle names and previews.

From the official newswire; "Stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for full details when Cunning Stunts launches next Tuesday." So pretty much no more info until it launches. Keeps the hype train rolling, and sales a few more shark cards.

 

 

that is how they do it the majority of the time - announce the release date and give some info, then release the update around 5am EST and then usually by 10am EST a new post with more info, plus the patch notes gets added to he newswire. The only times they have not done that is the couple of times that they totally surprised us and released an update/patch with zero previous warning.

Edit: don't get me wrong, cars are my favorite thing in the world besides guns, have been obsessed since before I could count to fifty. I play GTA for the cars, but I can't think of 50 I actually like. I only buy cars I really, really like and have millions left over for when more get released. I have around 40, so I'm approaching 50 fast but I just didn't understand how people want to have 60 when I can't even imagine filling up my 50 slots. Not trying to start an argument, only wanted some answers. Thank you to those who actually answered the question instead of getting all riled up about it.

 

 

 

I'll give you my opinion on the whole matter. Not coming at you in a negative way(just a discussion), but I don't really understand why folks worry about what others do with their virtual money or time. I get that you don't have 50 cars that you like in game and I bet there are a bunch of folks like yourself. sh*t, I have a few friends that I play with everyday that feel the same way. But like myself, there are a bunch of folks that love cars and love collecting them on some Jay Leno type. Cars that have unique unobtainable colors or mods or limited edition cars are ones that folks want to keep around. I personally like having a garage for different kinds of cars like a bike garage or a donks garage or a super cars garage etc,....

In response to Longhorns's post (too lazy to find the original quote), this game puts a lot of emphasis on cars and car collecting, with a diverse selection of vehicles and vehicle modifications. So, it should come as no surprise that people want 50+ cars in their garages. There's so much you can do with garages and vehicles in this game.

Aside from the racing cars/rally cars/trucks/dirt bikes:

 

- new stunt races on novelty tracks, with all-new props

- some of which will be added to the Creator, to let people make their own races/stunts

- 4 different styles of racing suit, in various colours, and at least one new style of racing helmet

- other stuff as well - there's been mentions of tattoos in the Newswire post, so maybe some other cosmetic items and other small additions

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but in regards to the creator aspect, Rockstar have already announced that we will be getting new props, etc. It was way back in May when they first revealed that new updates were coming.

• Cunning stunts: for crazy vehicular action comes a major update to the wild world of GTA Online racing and stunting that will introduce a new realm of creative and fun games. Expect a slew of new stunt-ready vehicles and gear - and the inspired Creator scene will be getting a vast new set of props, for an evolution of stunting, racing and trials-style creations, and other gameplay possibilities that will surely defy imagination.

Pretty much just official/Rockstar's loops, tubes and ramps. Stunt races created by the community will look more professional now rather than made of scraps.

Most will still be made with scraps I'm sure.

I'm just looking forward to seeing some dedicated folk go all out, and build proper motor racing tracks with the new props.

Not sure if some of the more weird and wonderful things will be available to use, but even if just the road segments can be used, I imagine some people will wind up making some really incredible tracks with them.

I'm really looking forward to getting some of the vehicles (Fiat 500, Audi Quattro, Lancia Stratos and the bikes,hopefully the liveries on them are optional) and the racing suits (especially the 70s looking helmet).

Still wondering what those last two vehicles are going to be (if that hastily-deleted news release about 13 vehicles is indeed true - we've only seen 11 so far) - is it too much to hope that at least one's a sports tuner, to go with the racecars, rally cars and so on - ?

 

And yeah, I do always like to see what stuff comes with updates that isn't included in the promo material - often a lot of cool clothes, in the cases of updates like F&F and Lowriders 2.


But that's being optimistic - even if it really is nothing more than we've seen in the trailers/screenshots, there's some really cool new stuff coming. Haven't been this excited for new toys in GTAO in ages...

-cars being balanced again in all classes by tweaking sertain cars in ways that have been talked about already for many times(so i am not gonna repeat all changes needed for this to happen)

 

-the cars, trucks and bikes that are gonna drop actually being balanced in a racing situation.

 

-crew colors simply being able to get a pearlscent over them, maybe even by an pearlscent of an other crew color

 

-related to the last point, being able to save a crew colors and use them like that

 

-ability for other players to join races when they are going on so lobbies slowly being empthied because of rage quiters become a thing of the past

really, though i was originaly somewhat hyped, the more i think about it, the less i get hyped, it is probably gonna be one more update that is gonna fix nothing and though this time the theme of the cars being released is rather "rice" instead of "high end", they are probably gonna cost plenty.

now i rather want them see fix some things and implement some pretty small things that yet would make for a greater update

2. You can already put pearlescents on crew colors without any effort. You can actually put pearlescents on any paint type in gta, but that's a glitch and pearlescents on crew colors doesn't need glitching.

 

3. You can also just simply save a crew color done by the inspect element method and use it like that, right now I'd say there's no issues with crew colors. You can even put crew colors on other materials like matte, worn, metal etc by a different glitch which is not difficult to do either. I'd say the way they have crew colors set-up right now is perfect, all we need is to be able to put 2 different crew colors on a vehicle.

 

I do kind of agree with you on the rest of your points though, besides vehicles being unlocked by challenges because I'm too lazy for that.

 

back ontopic, I really wonder if the racecars, trophy trucks, fiat 500 and the rest of the vehicles besides the bikes will be available without liveries. The Fiat / Audi Quattro mashup is already confirmed without livery but I wonder about it for the other cars too.

I think the it would have been pretty cool if they added a classic mini Or the Issi Classic if you will. They're already adding a Fiat 500 for stunting, so I think a classic mini decked out Monte Carlo style would have fit in perfectly, and also perhaps bridge a gap between the Quattro and the Fiat.

No no, I understand. I really, really love collecting cars but in GTA I can't find 50 I'd like to have in my garages. I'm not worrying about what others do with their lives, I was just curious as to how they did it. The other dude blowing up at me sorta skewed the discussion but when I get home I'll be sure to work on my vehicle organization haha.

Considering the last cars that had locked liveries was the jester and massacro I don't see that being a problem. It will be like the sultan rs in Benny's I'm sure. The trophy trucks on the other hand may be a different story.

On PC you can, not sure about other consoles since I sadly don't own any.

On PC it's done by first selecting the matte / metal / whatever texture, then doing the pearl glitch and then applying the crew color over it and then when you go into another lobby or exit the lobby and re-enter you'll have a crew color on said texture.

Eh, it's already obvious that the flip-up lights on the Lampadati will work, but whatever. They are shown working in the trailer.

 

Take a closer look between the frames - the lights are slowly moving up.

 

For this one it's the blue one at the left that takes up the whole screen at the end. It's more noticable for this one.

For those asking about liveries and if the cars/trucks/bikes can be bought without a livery - part way into the trailer you can see a blue trophy truck with no livery on it, so that probably confirms it that you don't have to have liveries on them.

I believe the blue truck the poster below you is referring to is modelled after the raptor. But more of a Baja look to it. Hope that helps. Looking forward to that truck more than the other one. For the record people have been asking for a 6th garage since we got a fifth. I would be all for that as after this update I will be undoubtedly at capacity once again after selling some that I simply used as space fillers when the finance and felony update came out. I'm thinking of a race themed garage as I already have a super, sports, muscle, sports classic and miscellaneous consisting of trucks and my kuruma at Las lagunas making a total of 46. Slightly under that recently as I had to sell a few as well as several on my secondary character to afford the new ones I wanted. Some people are just simply car collecting enthusiasts who like to showcase their own personal style and taste. I don't see any of these people coming at others who don't share that passion asking why they don't have 5 full garages. Probly the reason is cause they don't care what other people do with their imaginary money. Maybe take a page out of their book and be happy with what you have instead of trying to influence others that they should be like you. Like someone else said why do you care if people want more garages? Does it affect how you play the game? The answer is no so grow up and stop trying to nit pick people and what they want. If you're butthurt that people have more than you can afford then get on the grind and get what you want. That's all I gotta say. PEACE!
