So I guess higher difficulty means less need to use the mechanics effectively So that's IGN huh? Pretty sure I'll skip this one. Gameplay has never been the strength of ME, and this looks as unimaginative as the last ones. Writing would have to be really good to convince me otherwise, and frankly I don't think it'll get there. acmilano
I never played any of the other Mass Effect games. Thinking of finally giving the series a try. They are good games, and story and characters are strongest points. Also entire vibe of exploring vast universe, feel of adventure and some good missions. It have flaws, not just the ending of ME3,but overall it is a good experience. Abut that 17 min gameplay it isn't that impressive, maybe best is wait for some reviews and Lets Plays before making decision for buying. Probably will take it at the end but maybe wait for some discounts.
GIRR
I would recommend renting the game. It will cost you a fraction of the price and that way you can form your own opinions instead of relying on someone elses. Never understood the appeal of reviewers. So some one doesn't like the game, doesn't mean you won't acmilano

He also did a poor job killing those airborne drones with the N7 valkyrie, which was a bad idea in the first place. Then only 10-15 seconds later, he decided to switch to his sniper rifle. Even for an IGN preview player, he was pretty bad. I never played any of the other Mass Effect games. Thinking of finally giving the series a try. I highly recommend going back and giving them a try someday as they are all great. I also always recommend that you start from Mass Effect 1 and then to use the character import feature to the other games. I just don't trust EA or Bioware anymore. I'm not talking about combat mechanics itself, just how monotonous the whole thing was. ME really is a railway shooter: activate this/go there > wave of enemies spawns etc. There was almost no variety. Basicially just what the AI openly confirmed here aswell: if you activate this console enemies will approach you. This became especially tedious in ME3 where they always used the same scripted pattern: select one of you team members to fix this and that while you hold out against enemy horde. chronic lumbago
Man I can't believe it's almost there. I've been avoiding this thread and every trailer since the second trailer so I'll go in blindly. I'm a little worried it won't nail my expectations but I'm still hyped as hell. It's a f*cking new Mass Effect title! They simply have to deliver! Niobium
--video-- Ugh, it's not just the boring scanning that's the problem. Listen to those conversations during that mission. Abysmal writing. people complained about ryder's cringey dialogue like "voila!" and "hey little guy!" but i'm more concerned with the lack of dialogue options than the cringey dialogue itself, lol. if they don't have a sh*t-ton of dialogue options like in ME1 and ME2, then that tells me they learned nothing from their mistakes from the third game. don't know if it was ryder talking or peebee, but if ryder had a lot of dialogue without giving the player any options then that is bad. Queen
don't know if it was ryder talking or peebee, but if ryder had a lot of dialogue without giving the player any options then that is bad. That was peebee who was yapping her trap. Good God she sounded dumb. I wasn't offended by Ryder's dialogue. She talked sparingly.
HaythamKenway
For the record, Ian Frazier said on Twitter that Ryder's dialogue options were cut from the demo to "prevent spoilers" and that SAM talks more here than she does in the actual game to introduce the new mechanics. Yeah, I dunno. I don't see why either of these modifications were necessary. Among the other problems with the gameplay overall; they kinda dropped the ball here. Jonesizzle
I won't be bothered with any videos. I don't get the point of watching gameplay trailers or a loyalty mission. I buy games if it looks intriguing, word of mouth or if it's a sequel or made by a certain developer. I guess if you know your aren't going to buy it or play it, I kinda get it. Different strokes for different folks.

GIRR
It looks like they are following Bethesda's lead by cuting out the dialogue and replacing it with the sh*tty four options. Edit: Does anyone know what was with the 40gb download that Mass Effect got? Is it the game itself installing itself, or was it an pre-release update? Gremlin Sombra
I'm extremely annoyed that the MP tech test was canceled. I was really looking forward to it so I could in a way, get my hands on it early. But now it looks like I won't sadly. I was thinking about getting EA access to play it early for 10 hours but meh. trip
Will Not Watch. I pride myself with my media black outs for stuff I'm excited for. Outside of the first trailer I know nothing...I've read nothing, researched nothing, watched nothing. Pre-order is in(xbox) and I can't wait. You're not missing out on anything by not watching the first 13 minutes. It's really not exciting at all. The explorations video is fun though. HaythamKenway
Yeah, the intro is pretty light on spoilers, there's about only one minor reveal. A lot from the scenes has already been used in multiple trailers anyway. I'm not going dark in MEA's case, since the game is releasing two days late in Europe, as usual, and I'll probably hang out at the Lorerunner's stream of it to pass the time. I admire you guys' restraint, though. Edited March 4, 2017 by HaythamKenway Queen and trip

Misumi
I'm replaying ME1-2-3 and only just finished ME2 so I've given myself something to do instead of watching any reveal trailers/videos. At least memory will be fresh if ME:A has references to the first three. I've forgotten everything as the last time I've played the series was on each of their release dates. trip 1 IPMBMBAP
