Hopefully the exclusive will be temporary and they remaster it for PS4 and PC users as well, more money for them.

This is not remaster. R* actually did not do anything to the game to make it run on xbox one.

Backwards Compatible is just MS thing, the publisher of the game must just allow MS to release game into it. No changes in game is required.

it's exactly this point that makes me super suspicious of them only releasing it now. When it leaked it was 100% stable and playable, then silence for months.

Depends if you stored all your data on the cloud or on the physical harddrive. I stored it all on my harddrive so I have to sh*t around with a USB stick to move all my savedata and DLC's from my x360 to the xbone.

Should have kept my PS3 and just coughed up the extra few bucks towards my PS4. Don't know why I kept the RDR disc, it's not like I can use it.

 

Still, this is good news. Hopefully some day Microsoft does go along with their idea of bringing their Xbox 360 emulator to Windows 10.

We're live, folks! If you own the game digitally and it won't start up for you, you may have to hard reset your Xbone. I'll see you guys at the Blackwater Hotel when I get home from work ;)

Man, I don't own a Xbox One but I'm tempted to get one now. lol

 

Just the fact that the emulation actually improved RDR on the technical side surprised me to be honest. Kudos to Microsoft!

Had to of saved your saves to the cloud via the 360. If you still can, do that. Also about the outfitter, load into a private match or system link, then click outfitter, takes seconds to load that way.

Go back on to your 360 and head into the main Story Mode, save game to the cloud, and then try. If you no longer have your 360, then you may be SOL? :/

I would gladly join a rdr online game with you guys. I am installing the xbox one update for rdr right now. My gamertag is HairyPhoque.

 

Edit: I'll probably have to restart my multiplayer profile as when my original 360 red-ringed my rank got reset.

It's certainly not glitch free, but damn is it good to be playing RDR again.

 

Multiplayer seems so simple (yet still so familiar!) after playing GTAO for nearly three years :)

Yeah, from the little bit I played last night, Private Free Roam was the way to go. Problem is getting a full lobby, but lots of people are trying so tonight I'm gonna hop on and try to get in one!
