Oh I see what you're trying to do. So you're saying if I use the same meme someone else uses for a different purpose I am copying them? So for example all the thousands of those who use the "One does not simply" meme is copying the first person who used it? Sorry to break it to you but that is now how memes work and goes against exactly how memes come into being in the first place.

Just to broaden your horizons a little bit here is the definition of meme.

1. An element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation.

2. A humorous image, video, piece of text. etc. that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by internet users.

 

Lastly do you think Candy Suxx was the first to use Krombopulos Michael's famous line for the purpose of a meme? They haven't so using your logic they're copying someone else.

 

So in keeping up with the spirit of memes and this thread I will let this one finish the job for me.
