Con Air was the first Rated-R movie I ever saw in theaters without my parents, I think.

I thought it was bad ass; turns out it's just bad.

That being said it has one of the best ensemble casts ever assembled during the 90's

- Nic Cage

- John Cusack

- John Malkovich

- Steve Buscemi

- Ving Rhames

- Danny Trejo

- Dave Chappelle

- Colm Meaney

Seems a bit harsh. Look how Nick Cage's sort of a mullet majestically blows in the wind.

Not a movie but,  hey... The Cosby Show and Alf. I loved these as a kid, watching them nowadays, gets me cramps...

I'm not sure I've watched it as an adult but I loved 3 Ninjas as a kid. I just kind of assume it doesn't hold up anymore.

Remember back in '06 Cartoon Network released a movie called Re-Animated? Yeah, that. When I first watched it, I thought it was funny and entertaining, but looking back at it I realized that the plot is ridiculous, and almost every character is very unlikable. The tv show they made as a sequel was even worse, lol.

For this scene alone, Con Air is nothing but badass. I'm glad he took it back.

Superman IV.

As a kid, had them all on video and would relish watching this as much as the others. Oops. It's just not good in any way. When the moment came, my lad was going through my blu ray box and of course, he's curious.

Different times. He clocked just how crap it was and we've agreed to just watch Superman III twice instead. That bad, lol. (Great bonding though of course, any film is a winner there, IMHO).

---------------

RoboCop 3.

I can easily add that here too, but felt that film was a touch better than the above when watching as an adult. I remember this coming out and watching the video thinking 'fun film' How wrong I was.

The lad don't mind this still though agrees it's softer than expected for a 15 rated movie and goes way off at the end. Is aimed at kids though and has a TV movie campy charm I suppose. Still, after Verhoven's classic and even 2. A really poor film.

----------------

Hell Island/Slaughterhouse Rock.

This movie is on the list, but I do have a soft spot for it based on those early days too. Released as Hell Island in the UK, Slaughterhouse Rock in the USA in 1988, think I saw this around '89/90.

I watched this film way before I should have (10 or 11), this was one I deliberately hid from my parents. A proper 18 far too early, yay. And it was one of the first horror films I ever saw that left me wanting more. This movie is the reason I got into horror movies as love of mine since.

I'd all but forgotten the plot too but remembered some set pieces that I always though we're gold, but I overrated this film. (Great memories of the 'money shots' in horror, I often watched them with mates and all we wanted was gore and boobies, simple times).

To my surprise, I saw it got re-released on blu-ray and along with a stack of old B-movie/lesser known horror movies too so nabbed this up too with higher hopes than usual.

It left me feeling a bit flat. It's not the worst film I've seen, and definitely not the worst horror even, but it isn't the film I remembered. Now it serves as a reminder to go into some of my old memorable favourites a lot more prepared to be watching something I enjoyed at a different time. Some films are best watched once, lol.

Thanks for reading. :)

the last dragon, although i still love that film, the acting wasn't great and the storyline was abit daft, but it had some great fighting scenes, and a really catchy song half way through the i still sing in my head to this day, lol.

You give me an idea for a thread I'd like to add, hope it hasn't been done. But movies and music, so much there. :)

Will search first, lol.

Hey Arnold!, when I was a kid I always love this show, but when I grown up I realized this show was not entertaining and boring, Hey Arnold! might be good for giving advice for kids, but from the entertainment side it is very boring, I only like the horror theme episodes, and I forgot the rest of episodes

Dude, I clicked on this topic to post this movie.

It was really boring, too.

The only highlights are the scenes focused on the shenanigans of the soldiers.

That's it.

90-95% of Horror films. As an 80's kid/90's teen, I was a Horror/Gore fanatic. Watching so many of these films now, I realize how much they suck. Modern Horror films are even worse. (But, to be fair, even if I was still a Horror fanatic, I would still say that they suck.)

Actually, it does, At least the first one does to me I actually have them on my HDD of movies and still watch it from time to time but I will admit it does get annoying after the 10,000th HI-YA, Like most movies, the sequels weren't that great while the first edition was the best of the series the last one  High Noon at Mighty Mountian  should've never made it off the writer's desk

Forgot Jury Duty and In The Army Now basically any movie involving Pauly Shore is the "Lead" I'll admit these movies are so stupid but they're like really bad car accidents, You want to look away but you can't help but to watch as they pull the dead bodies out of the cars.

I will admit though, I do like the movie Son-in-Law even as stupid as it is

----------------------------------

I don't know why but I honestly don't find any movies I watched as a kid beyond stupid enough to where I won't watch them again if I come across them on TV or something while they might be stupid as hell they're still entertaining.

Not Garbage persay but cheesy because the amount of CGI used in the films Space Jam and Starwars.

It didn't bother me as a child because I was into them too much for me to notice but as I grew up I started picking up on the CGI effects.

All 3 On the Buses movies. Trashy sex comedies from the 70's that spawned from an old black and white TV series and poorly made (though the films are in colour), poor acting, cheap and cheerful, the lot. But god damn I love these movies still. The Mrs absolutely hates these and I love to wind her up when I see they're on TV and say I'm watching that!

'No you f*cking ain't. Go to the pub!' She says. 🤣🤣

Most things that I loved as a child I still love today. Like Beavis and Butthead, Walker Texas Ranger, Celebrity Deatmatch.

But I really hate the Disney stuff. As a child Disney filled my head with unrealistic expectations of society and life. I should sue Disney for the emotional trauma. Man I f*cking hate Disney. Putw me in the mood for some terrorist sh*t.

Ok these are some I've watched in the last couple of years I loved when younger and cringed hard for varying reasons either for poor writing, cheesy dialogue, a ridiculous premise etc I still like these movies BTW as they've crossed that divide of being "so bad it's good".

-Romy And Michelle's High School Reunion.

-Beverly Hills Ninja.

-Gone Fishing.

-The Odd Couple II.

-The Love Guru.

Beverly Hills Ninja is hilarious. I understand how terrible it is, but my god it's so funny to me. Maybe it's because I'm so nostalgic over it. The chemistry between Chris Farley and Chris Rock really helps as well.
