Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

Pretty sure GTA: O Updates will continue into 2020

Theres no way they'd cut off a cash cow.

 

Besides the obvious that I'd be really pissed if updates stopped in Spring 2017 without us getting new heists or even nightclubs I think Rockstar Games would be dead to me if they didn't release the Hunter and fix helicopters and they just cut off the game without doing the three things I desire most.

 

(In order of what needs to happen first)

 

Fix the Helicopters!

Make New Heists (Introduce the Hunter in one of those new heists and add a Bishop's WTF?! museum heist)

AND MAKE FREAKIN NIGHTCLUBS OPEN!

These type of DLCs last 1 day before people get bored and want a new one

The only thing and things that have and will keep me entertained for a great deal of time are and hopefully will be.

 

Festive Surprise (Actually enjoyed snowball fights up until the snow melted!)

Heists Update (OBVIOUSLY this one...)

Further Adventures in Finance and Felony (Still enjoying this and making my own linear story to it.)

 

Keep in mind that I upgraded in March 2016 so that is why I didn't include two DLCs that would have probably entertained me for awhile

Lowriders (Missions were fun, Remind me of Heists and hype me up for new ones)

Executives and Other Criminals. (Something I could add my own story to and I still play stuff from this update even though I would play Headhunter over Sightseer ANYDAY)

 

Hopefully they will release these DLC's

 

Helicopter Aviation DLC (Don't add the Hunter yet. Add it in new heists and focus on fixing helicopters with this DLC)

New Heists (Add Hunter, Stealth Museum Heist, IDK add the two cut heists and a simeon one, put more heists with lester!)

Nightclubs (Don't release mansions with this FOCUS ON NIGHTCLUBS AND CLOTHES, VEHICLES, ETC.)

 

And map expansions will obviously be a great addition that I believe will enter GTA: O

 

Personally I feel Mansions might end up in a DLC at the end of 2016

because Rockstar might end this year with a bang like they did with adding Yachts last year.

they have to stop at some point before they release the next gta which i think it would be between 2020-2021, they have to make us hungry for new content, i just dont see how they would stop feeding the gtao cashcow, as ceo of TakeTwo it gotta be hard to go and tell the shareholders "ok, we have to stop feeding this cow eventho it still generating 5-10million in revenues X years after it original release"

I remember the shark card promotion before Cunning Stunts dropped ending on the 7th which is exactly the date the update was announced with a release date and trailer.

 

If this promotion ends on the 25th, we could potentially get a trailer for the next update on the same day, with a full on release by the 30th.

 

Only saying this because they very rarely do these promotions without an update right around the corner.

You are stretching this a bit, aren't you? No way they will keep updating GTA Online with new content until 2020. Bugfixes maybe, but new content? I'd be VERY surprised.

Possible but I highly doubt that we are going to get an update this month with the previous release of the Stunt Race Creator.

You are stretching this a bit, aren't you? No way they will keep updating GTA Online with new content until 2020. Bugfixes maybe, but new content? I'd be VERY surprised.Well who knows. They are probably planning cross game unlocks for their upcoming games for promotional items and exclusive gear until the next Gta. Idk. I give it until after Red Dead 3. Around early 2018 ish? Tbh i wouldn't mind at all if they'd stop releasing updates by the end of this year. I gotta admit tho... Cunning stunts was one of the best updates so far. But i'm just not feeling it anymore. Last time i played GTAO was 3 or 4 weeks ago. I guess almost 3 years of GTA Online is more than enough for me. It was a great ride and an awesome time but i really hope Rockstar will move on soon. But since this thread is about the next DLC speculation... I still think we'll see some sort of Nightlife update with Bahama Mamas, cool clothes etc. I mean the interior is there. Hope R* won't scrap the idea behind Bahama Mamas.

A lot of thrash and glam/hair metal bands in particular came out of Cali. What music is more Hollywood and Sunset Strip than glam metal? Well, maybe they'll add a more muscular biker rock/metal station with the biker DLC? One can always hope.

Gotta love people trying to pinpoint 'the moment where The Benz' departure from R* affected GTAO updates', while ignoring the fact that Imran Sarwar went from lead mission designer on GTA V, straight into being R* North's director of design/producer for GTAO when it launched, heading up the same team for both - and IIRC, he's still in that position (which amounts to effectively 'head of the GTAO dev team').

The people that reference the Benz or the Houser brothers have no idea what is going on behind the sense nor do they have a clue as to who makes the decisions. The company I work at the CEOs and executives do almost nothing except make critical decisions. Its the dev team who figures out what is doable and the higher ups pick out what they feel is the most profitable. This appears to be the way things work at Rockstar, because the dev team knows the true limitations of their software. That's why there are so many scrapped ideas from GTA Online, because the uppers felt it wasn't profitable enough.

I mean really though, anything, cars, clothes, music, whatever. As long as it came from a decade pre-90s, I'm pretty much all for it.

 

Vintage stuff, no matter what it is, is always welcome imo.
