How To Get Away with M

The price of everything in the next update has just rocketed due to recent events!

it was not as widespread as others, dont think we would take a hit because of it.

Could someone explain exactly what people are talking about?

Well, I still have like 14 Osiris bonds to burn for this one last update in September if that happens... either that or Rockstar decide to be lazy bastards and let Forza Horizon 3 release before the next update.

Yep, unfortunately DLC prices are going to be up again, because according to an interview with Rockstar Games, the pricing of the Updates is determined by the players average cash in the Bank.

I realy hope R* wipes all illegitimite money at some point.

I guarantee the downtime cost them 100x the shark card sales this did. 99% of the people who did it will have glitched the sh*t out of their accounts any chance they got anyway and the number of people doing it will have been tiny, like the regulars here and there and that's about it. Well under a thousandth of a percent of the player base, easy.

Before or after the invisible players with meaningless stats get banned?

Their balance doesn't impact you in the slightest, is what I was trying to say. So to hope they get wiped is a bit weird.

It wouldn`t be fair to raise the price, cause seriously, which percentage of players exploited the glitch? PC users got sh*t at all. But this is R*, so i will not be surprised if there`s gonna be money wipe, and the prices will go beyond-the-lynx.

Why? It literally doesn't affect you in any way... I'd rather all the invisible body glitches get banned before R* takes away meaningless glitched cash...

Again, prices are determined by the average bank balance of all players combined, so if A LOT of people did the glitch, they are going to be up by a big margin.

Was the glitch advertised by any YouTubers btw., or was it just the usual GTA Forums crowd?

I've never seen a player use the invisible body glitch, and I am on PC, but I still hope those get banned as well.

Also the reasons why I want their money to get wiped are these:

- the in-game prices are determined based on the average bank balance of every player, so if they obtained big sums of money illegitimitely, they push the prices up for everyone

- The work I put in into the game reflects with the items I bought, unlocked etc. these Items use their value the more people own them, if someone does this glitch he therefor directly affects the theoraticle value of in-game items I purchased with cash I worked for.(Whether in RealLife or in-game)

- The glitch allows players to not pay any attention to ammo-count etc. and to not value their own money, thus they have the privilige to go all guns blazing with a combat style not considering ammo costs etc.

Poor players like myself should help offset that, then LOL

I don't think I have ever had more than $300k in the bank for any extended period of time. If i have a million, it pretty much gets spent right away, and then the next few months are made up of me trying to earn enough money to buy the next vehicle i can't afford.

Apparently R* is taking down GTAO glitch videos (and entire channels if they take down at least 3 videos) so I wouldn't be surprised if nobody wanted to make a video.

YouTube search for "gta online money glitch" with a "Today" setting gave me about 10 results, some of them having nothing to with the glitch. The most viewed one has over 5000 views, and it's not even in English.

I've a gut feeling that the Biker DLC is gonna be far smaller than what we're all expecting tbh

I do not know what other people are expecting, but realistic expectations are these:

- some biker clothing(leather jackets, Lost MC stuff, etc.)

- some Bikes(Maybe some from GTA IV, probably about 6)

- A Club House which you can buy similar to a CEO Office

- In the club house you have access to 5 new "MC" Missions

- new Cargo system for Lost MC maybe as well

I agree up until you said 5 new MC missions. Why would these only be accessible in some club house? That seems like nonsense. If there is a new "Club House" it'll likely have some sort of freemode activities tied to it just like CEO/Crate deliveries.

An Interview from The Benz before GTA Online released:

It's just a case of balancing. Balance it, play it, tweak it. One of the things we've found with Online is that you've got to keep playing it and keep an eye on it. And we'll be doing that once it's released. We've got a fairly complex backend watching exactly what people are doing, how the economy is running. So we can make little tweaks here and there to make sure everything is fair and balanced.

Source: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/rockstar-north-boss-on-gta-online-why-the-time-is-finally-right/1100-6412726/

Additionally here is a funny quote from that Interview:

"It seems like you've put a lot of effort into getting the matchmaking as painless as possible, like when players automatically surface in the same space or you invite a player to join you on a mission and they immediately show up next to you. What was your approach to make that happen?"

It was a huge thing for us. The process is: you do it and you test it. If that doesn't work, you do it again until it's perfect. We went through a few iterations where it was good, but it just wasn't good enough. One thing I like is when you hit a button and it does it for you. The game knows all the information about you, what you like to do, who you like to play with. So our concept of a lobby is where you go and press a button. There won't be any pings or hosts or sessions. You just hit a button, and you get what you asked for. I hate games where you sit there and you spend more time waiting for everyone to ready up than you do playing the game. This will be a quick process.

I think R* is trying--I'm not sure how well they're succeeding. I also just did the search (using "Today" filter), and YouTube reports: "About 1,100 filtered results"... (a lot of same-author dupes though)

Sounds more like how they dreamed it would work seeing as how updates and shark card sales coincide with every update. With the many modded accounts having trillion dollar bank accounts, regular players would not be able to afford anything really if they actually did what you think.

Could be, I don't know, but I still think the amount of money people have in their banks matters in regards to prices.

And regarding Biker DLC, I assume there is going to be a contact similar to Merrywheather who can call in NPC Bikers to help you, at least something like that was planned in the Beta stages of GTA Online:

So you could call the bikers, and say, “Send over a couple of bikers, we’re going to do a job,

All I want to know is if there will be a "formation riding" RP bonus. Like, the little symbol appears on the ground (like in Lost and Damned), and you and your buddies have to ride together in it for RP bonuses.

But will it exist for the biker DLC?

Eh, probably? I don't know. The biker dlc does seem to hook into the ceo system, based on the script names.

Wait, are you confusing the words NPC and AI?

Because the AI in Headhunter is just fine, staying defensive, taking cover according to most immediate threat etc.

Heh; if so, I know the perfect location to start that Headhunter work, and here's why:

...gotta love it when they drive right into the water and get stuck. :)

Good point--perhaps even too good (e.g. the same Baller LE LWB they use that blows up for us players

takes four missiles to destroy in Headhunter, and some SecuroServ bodyguards make even the toughest, mini-gun wielding gang NPCs look like cream puffs).

But thankfully, there isn't much protection on a motorcycle... :) I would imagine the biker AI would be similar to the Pacific Standard - Bikes Lost MC gang.

The sad thing is based on recent events probably the dlc will be postponed, they must be engaged on picking those who will be fired.
