Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

I'm definitely not a purist so I know how to have a conversation with one. I build choppers so people always ask me why I would do whatever I did to a perfectly good Triumph or BSA. What they don't understand is that I don't start out with a perfectly good bike. I collect, repair, and refinish every part and I create something that can be ridden and enjoyed out of what would otherwise be discarded. It creates demand for parts, which makes them surface, it keeps parts in circulation and in some cases even motivates people to start producing reproduction parts. It's good for everyone and it allows people to be creative, so what's the harm?

 

And to anyone that makes rude comments about something that someone put countless hours into for the love of it, I have to ask, what have you done? What have you created? Negativity is worth jack sh*t.

I disagree, depending on intent.

 

There are a lot of modern "bling" style wheels that do indeed look terrible on classic vehicles, but when speaking just about the size, it depends on the intent of the vehicle.

 

If you want big disk brakes you have to have big wheels, and on a muscle car the "pro touring" look can be really cool. Gives a peek that they are serious about performance.

 

 

There are a lot of larger wheels that play off of classic features or are damn near scaled-up copies of classic wheels, and of course people with good taste will find a way to make them look "right" with their car.

@Silnev: I generally like Foose as a designer okay, he manages to make things that sound terrible on paper actually pretty decent in the steel, but those wheels on that Challenger were NOT good looking to me.

IMO those rims don't work on the Camaro and the Firebird.

Edit: That green car, I think it was a 'Cuda, the rims were made especially for it, they are just larger versions of the stock rims actually.

Indeed, i don't like that at all. Love the car it self, however i would throw those rims into the trash bin if it was my car. 'Not really in the trash bin but on Ebay in this case'

 

IMO putting rims like that on a muscle, is the same as putting these on a current generation of supercars.

Agree. There are just a few more weapons that need them. Like the Heavy Sniper, Heavy Shotty, Bullpup Shotty, Assault Shotty, RPG, GL, Mini Gun, and a few more I can't remember.

Also it'd be nice if the rim sizes between what we have now and donk came with it. Some 18 to 20s would be nice. Anyway, if they add them I'm happy for those of you freaks that like them. Just don't pull up to me wanting me to ride with you. It's not going to end well.

Or we should be able to adjust wheel size and tire profile, so then R* can just add the rims and then leave it to player on how they want to customize their ride. I honestly don't see a reason why we don't have that option, saints row 1 and 2 had the option.

Lowriderlife, exactly. I've never understood the lack of wheel and tire mods. It's not like R* hasn't done it before. (MCLA) then again, all the car mods in this game are crap compared to midnight club, so it appears they're regressing in that area.

If R* just added the wheel and tire mods the car scene in gta would get a complete overhaul, plus with the addition of lifting or dropping your ride to get a dragster or stanced type look. Yeah when they added bennys it looked like they are trying to get a more midnight club level customization, especially when the sultan and banshee got the treatment. I feel like 2016 is gonna be a great year for gta online!

Agree. There are just a few more weapons that need them. Like the Heavy Sniper, Heavy Shotty, Bullpup Shotty, Assault Shotty, RPG, GL, Mini Gun, and a few more I can't remember.

 

the melee weapons could also need some colors, and probably some upgrades. A taser knife would be cool.
