I can kind of agree with that. One lowrider-related thing they need to bring back is the lowrider competitions, where you had to bounce your car to the beats of the music. Maybe they could also add an event to see who could bounce their car the highest, or something like that. It would be nice to have something else to do with our lowriders.

Not only that, but if they add in the Lowrider Challenges they'd essentially be adding the mechanics for the dancing activity too. All they would have to do is add the dancing animations in a future update. (Along with Nightclub clothing, hairstyles, vehicles etc)

I hope you never have to deal with any lazy asshole "friends" who lean on your car. Nothing other than crashing can destroy a classic car faster than leaning on panels. Worst habbit there is.

I agree that leaning on panels is a terrible habit, but I'd say rust is a much bigger concern - unless you're lucky enough to live outside of the rust belt, of course. I consider myself very fortunate to live in an area where rust is a non-issue. Edited March 13, 2016 by Pat

Maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I can't see myself finding lowrider hopping competitions fun for more than maybe one game.

 

I see things like people wanting nightclubs with dancing too, and I just wonder whether people would actually go dancing in a video game? How long would that be fun for? I can't remember ever reading anyone say they enjoyed the dancing in TBoGT or SA.

 

While I'm not really opposed to any of these "mini-game" style things I just can't help but feel like they wouldn't really add much to the game overall. Sure there will always be a handful of people who enjoy them but they will never work their way into "regular" play by a large portion of the fanbase (even the ones who aren't just free roam deathmatch types). Arm wrestling, darts, tennis, golf... Sure we have all played them a few times and there are of course a few people out there who probably like to play them a few times every day, but when was the last time you were really invited to play one? Perhaps more importantly, when was the last time you actually joined if you were invited?

 

I'm not saying I never do any of those extra things, but darts are too easy, arm wrestling is awful, golf is gimmicky but still kinda fun, I sorta like tennis (especially if it wasn't so long), and sometimes quite enjoy shooting range challenges... But even so the amount of times myself or anyone on my friends list spends doing them is so insignificant compared to missions and free roaming and such that I find it sorta hard to feel like that's the best way for them to spend their time.

 

Even good, non-gimmicky mini-game type things like the impromptu races never get used. I've been playing since day 1 of Online, in mostly in free aim lobbies (that are typically more peaceful and from my experience lead to more random shenanigans) and I've never been challenged to an impromptu race, or had one accepted by anyone other than my friends.

 

I feel their time would be better spent making new contact missions or VIP missions/challenges and so on.

 

It would be interesting to see their data though as to how many hours the playerbase has spent doing things. Adversary vs missions vs heists vs free roaming and so on. BioWare used to release that data occasionally and it was always interesting to look at.

The last lowriders was neat for what it added, but wore off in a hurry because most of the vehicles were just not very good to be honest. The modification update for the Sultan and Banshee was a step in the right direction because it added performance as well as appearance options, and was in my opinion a really great idea that could be applied to other car classes as well (eg. Offroaders) in conjunction with new themed game types. Another actual low rider update feels like a step backwards by comparison.

 

Meanwhile, I will still keep hoping for a Flight School Part 2 and aircraft themed one:

 

I've been thinking, and I may have caught the fever also. Especially if it can maneuver like a real Apache.

 

I'd really hope that if the Rat-Loader is true, then I hope that these cars are more of a Muscle/Hot Rod Update. It would be amazing and would compete against NFS coming to PC next week, which now has Hot Rods. Or at least for the Rat-Loader and Slamvan (hopefully the Slamvan can have the bed to be covered like the GTA IV Slamvan.

I would honestly be happy with anything at this point, personally not too keen on the constant double RP and cash. It's nice that Rockstar are helping people gather money for the update(s) though.

 

I would quite like some Single Player content but I understand that is either still in development or not in development at all. I'm easy to please though so any updates that add vehicles are fine with me.

I hope it's solid too, if it certainly is lowriders that would be fine - I'm fine with pretty much any update really. I'm happy with whatever I get and don't find myself arguing about what should be added to the game. I'm just happy Rockstar are sticking with their fanbase and not abandoning it, constantly doing livestreams and mini-updates to keep the community alive is much better than most companies do these days. The free updates help keep the community together by not splitting it apart with the 'only people that bought the map pack can play this map' attitude that most developers have these days.

That would be quite nice, though sounds like it would take some time to pull off. Personally, I would love more interior options - it would be pretty sweet going to a car website, choosing a car and then having a choice on interior design you want as standard.

 

I'm perfectly fine with the option to only modify a select few vehicles at Benny's at the moment though, I hear one of the new lowriders is a Virgo which is certainly one of my favourite cars, so I'm quite excited for that and it will probably become my new personal vehicle for a while.

funwm2 posted the thing about the tuneables.... did he mention they were updated with anything? I'm online now with a friend and things feel different with the NPC's... Of course it could just be stuff I've looked over and missed... but I'm hearing phones ring... packages (VIP) are in new places, Fire truck and fire fighters talking to cops at the court house...

My friend mentioned something about the Vargo's in a place that they usually aren't and a group of Bati riders out cruising....

 

Anyone else noticed stuff that's different?

Nothing has changed in tuneables except the removal of the 2x bonuses. I doubt there's any new VIP package locations, there's just a lot and some don't come up often. I don't think tuneables could alter NPC behaviour.

If you start using motorbikes you find a whole new level of detail, too, same with First Person.

Only the Rhino Hunt and Come out to Play Adversary Modes are sh*tty. The rest are fun! Me and my crew love them and play them often especially Dropzone, Slasher, Hunting Pack and Hasta LaVista.

B/C physic would go mental if more than one Tow Truck is connected.
