Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

These must be the beta pickups. Only Thermal Vision and the Extra Time (Time Stop) actually use those models. The real icons use a round white circle with the symbol in the middle and a colored outer glow that kinda looks like a pickup from GTA:VC.I think the ball was supposed to be used in Inch-by-Inch but was replaced by a simple capture briefcase.

 

Edit: You can find the real models in \Grand Theft Auto V\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday10ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\generic\icons5.rpf\

They'll appear yellow in OpenIV but they don't look like that in-game.

If I remember correctly, some of the blue icons appeared when we were discussing about the inch by inch mode. Since the final version didn't use the icons along with the ball and the goalposts, could this power play mode be like a football match with special abilities?

Indeed. I highly doubt R* would include them with this update without having the intention of releasing them soon. Just like what happened Lowriders: Custom Classics.

The pipes on Cunning Stunt Update announcement were painted on with Americana.

4th is Independence Day.

It's obvious.

 

I hope we get a Hunter as a surprise, because the Apache is pretty much Americana as well.

 

We probably see the Sovereign again as well, hopefully this time without livery, otherwise they should add the eagle shriek horn and red Cranley baseball caps.

If CS is due July 4th then how do you explain 3 supercars but no 'stunt-ready vehicles' or any other props being added already? They're going to release them between now and then? It's only a couple weeks.

 

Much more likely is a 'festive surprise' followed by CS, no?

People assume we are getting some '70's Death Proof cars or something because of the term "stunt". You have to take it into the GTA context. What do current stunt races usually require? Supers.

 

I mean, this isnt going to be a dirt bike jumping 20 buses dlc. It's going to be super unrealitic races dlc.

They'll probably release those cars one-by-one starting June 20th. Why do I think so? The Steam Summer Sale starts on June 23rd so they'll want to make you spend your money on shark cards rather than the Summer Sale.

I'm thinking the Grotti might be for some crazy high speed stunts.

The Pfister for crazy track stunts as I'm anticipating the Pfister will have some extreme traction.

 

And the Dewbauchee is thrown in because I want it.

You can see supers in the pipeline showed in the screenshot........ That doesn't mean we can't get more vehicles. But supers will be present in the stunts thing in some capacity.

But even if they are, where's the rest of the content?

I don't think the 3 cars in the files now are for the Stunt update. I'm saying we will get even more Super cars with the update. I think those 3 are going to be time release cars.

 

The Stunt Update is going to be a big update, not some small thing they can turn on with tunables.

Agreed, pretty sure it will be the next big one. Just no idea when, i suspect aug but i have no reasons. Those three cars and where/how they were found is too much like past practice for them not to be released that way.

Seeing as how Independence Day Special will most likely be activated July 1st, the Cunning Stunts update will either come after July 6th, or before that. Maybe on Thursday, June 30th.
