I have roughly $17m and people kept asking me why I wouldn't buy a yacht, and I just kept saying that I had a feeling something better and more useful was coming. Really happy right now.

Why waste money on a status symbol that you can't start a heist from or even store even one car on? I've talked to a few people who've bought them and they've said it was a waste of money. They saw how cool it was and it was pretty much an impulse buy. I have 11 million and don't see the point in it, because of the mentioned reasons above. I see it as a status symbol, just like the gold plane and gold chopper.

 

 

I disagree with it being a status symbol and don't believe any items in a game is status symbol.

 

I bought they yacht on the first day of release. To be more precise, 10 minutes, after release because I stayed up all night for this particular update. So I purchased the yacht without any expectations.

 

Was is it an impulse by? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes.

 

It's worth it because it made my GTA world a lot bigger than what it is. The yacht is like another mini-map because it is so huge. You are part of your own little world when you are on the yacht and it's a safe house.

 

To fully maximize your GTA world...a yacht is a must have.

You pretend as if you own the GTA Online section, dude, that sh*t is pathetic. You perceive anything negative that doesn't conform to your intellectually superior mindset of Online as whining and get offended at them while using the exact same response everytime; "if you don't like the game, don't play it."

 

For your own sake, you should either learn how not to get upset at everyone for not thinking like you do or at least come up with better reasons to boast around with, at least you won't be generic then.

 

He's got a point though. Let's say you went to a restaurant and didn't like the food, or had a bad experience with the staff etc, would you go back and eat there again?

 

 

The members of this forum (well some of them)? They would go on YELP and drop 50 comments about how the food was sh*tty and how the experience ruined their lives.

 

Then they would go back in a week and repeat the same experience over and over again.

Thank god I am rich af. I have 5 apartments full of cars and bikes, I have Yacht, Tank, Savage, Insurgent, liberator, valkyrie, Buzzard, etc,, (No hydra cuz it's sh*te), all the weapon tints and on top of that something like $18-19M.

I am sort of on the same boat as you. I have 5 apartments, they were full of cars and bikes till I downsized and sold most of them. I have yacht, tank, insurgent, buzzard and many stupid vehicles that I purchased when I was a low level player. I have all the weapons but not all tint. I have 121 million.

 

I am level 180.

 

New content is definitely welcomed.

Awesome! I have somewhat the opposite happen with the Luxor Deluxe.

 

When they slashed the Luxor Deluxe by 50% I got suspicious and felt that R* was either going to release a new Jet with the FAFF or a Jet was going to be needed. I already owned the regular Luxor but come on, I'm about to become CEO and I have to fly in a Gold Jet.

So after long consideration I said, im going to save 5M and buy the gold jet in case we dont get a new jet in the FAFF and i know I will be upset at myself for having to pay full price for the gold jet when I could have paid 50% less for it.

Of course, seeing the new jet in the FAFF trailer killed me as my instinct was that R* was up to something and they were slashing the gold jet by 50%.

Anyways i got burned but didnt get mad because I still have eight figures in my bank account and have made 900K back since the trailer dropped yesterday and will get my 5M back before the DLC drops.

 

Moral of the story....go with your instincts.

It really depends on what is important to you and how you play the game. Almost six months after the release I love my yacht and typically spawn there. Because of the defense system, so much safer to come out off the Yacht than it is, from say, the Eclipse apartment. I like tooling around on my boat from time to time, and it's right there when I spawn in, don't have to order it. I also prefer flying to driving, and I get in the helicopter and fly off right from there. So, it really depends on how you play the game. I realize these things don't appeal to everyone, and thus, the yacht isn't for them.

I think (and I say that cuz it's hard to know what you really are saying here) your frustration is that the logic is unassailable. That, and it offends your senses that one would suggest you don't have an inalienable right to bitch and moan constantly, as if your concerns must be heard. I assure you, we don't need to hear them.
