Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

How many times are we gonna get hyped about LC? It's not f*cking coming ya'll! If the publisher is wanting to pull the plug, and even had an article written about it, it could very well be in the next month or so. You're getting hyped for no f*cking reason!

 

EDIT: I fully expect Take Two to do an EA, and just take it offline, because publishers tend to be a group of scumbags that way. They want to rest the series. Which means put it on the shelf, at least, for a time. Which could mean that GTA Net could be way more far off than what we expected.

As a great man once said it is better to have Hyped and lost then to have never hyped before, not to start a debate but if this is true then will we be hyped for no reason? or not eh I don't care I need to sleep

Considering that pic is clearly in V's version of RAGE and was uploaded in April 2016, it isn't just hype for nothing.

 

 

While I acknowledge that it is an artist from R* that did it, but I also don't see it going too far from being a portfolio filler, as a demonstration what they can do.

If what I said is true, then, yes the hype would be for nothing. Just something rubs me the wrong way with the timing. It seems Take Two really wants to have the project wrapped up. And from a technical point of view, I get it, you can't keep upgrading an old form of software, it just gets too cumbersome to fix and too expensive for further add-ons. But to talk about shelving the series is a whole other matter. With them saying that, it seems they very well could pull an EA and pull the plug all together. Is it a stupid business move, sure it is, for right now, but companies have done extremely dumb things to push other projects forward. If they are wanting R* to shelve GTA, even for a short time, that means Take Two is very confident in what is coming next. Kinda taking a page from Nintendo's book.

 

If I'm wrong, then cool, Online will keep chugging, and if I'm wrong about LC, even better, I will be pleasantly surprised with it and enjoy it when it comes.

While I don't want to get hyped for something that might eventually never come, Liberty City could be a nice goodbye gift for GTA0. I mean, sh*t, after all the blunders throughout the last year making the updates end on a high note would be the least Rockstar could do. Oh well, who knows.

Alright, now it seems a bit fishy. Ade Page portfolio work seems to be missing or removed

Hmm, it's weird now cause we don't know if the artist was held under NDA (should always be) or that the image was "accidentally" leaked on a carbonmade portfolio (thinking that no-one would find it).

Edit: I still would take it as a grain of salt though.

Well since it's not shown in his portfolio, it could be possibly rule out to be a scrapped idea but prepping it for something big?

 

I find it odd that the artist released an image of middle park using Gta's engine, gets noticed on the media, and then a request by either R* or the artist himself to take down all images.

 

Something tells me that LC is perhaps their trump card for GTAV.
