Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

It's a holiday here in the UK today so nobody will be at R* North. Maybe the trailer gets pushed by PR somewhere else, but in all likelihood today is not the day.

All the Newswire/social media is handled by the guy in NYC.

 

But you are right, given today's holiday here they likely have today off.

 

they probably already have it done and going to release it tomorrow MAYBE.

On topic of weapons, a flamethrower is actually possible with mods. No reason for them not to add it (unless "it's too OP", then, well, take a look at other weapons, techniques, or gamemodes available already).

Hopefully they'll give us a fully armoured helicopter/plane in this update. Sick of the paper thin flying vehicles we already got.

 

I can agree in that. It would be great if they re-tweak the armour on the Valkyrie and the Savage as both are very, very fragile. Improving the Savages armour would also need some realignment of it's functionality (instead the pilot can use gun + rockets he should only be able to fire rockets. The copilot should use the gun in the same way he does on the Valkyrie - so the thing would be better balanced as not every single noob could cause that much havoc )

 

Also I think they should finally put the Hunter in as a counterpart of the savage: Same firepower but more agile, something in between the Savage and the Buzzard (The model itself must be finished since the start of GTA V as it's featured in one movie trailer at the cinema - but most of you know that I think.)

 

When it comes to new additions I'd like to see a Bell/Agusta BA609 knockoff (maybe a combination of the 609 and the XV-15 prototype) for the "luxury" section.

 

 

I wouldn't mind if this costs 10 Mil then as it would be a great improvement: fast traveling forward, vertical takeoff/landing and room for your bodyguards to go from a to be quickly. That would replace the useless Luxor Deluxe lol

 

On a military side I'd add a V22 Osprey knockoff to transport goods in a faster way from a to b (Still I don't think they will do so - I think that they add some container which can be sticked under a Cargobob instead...

 

I'd also love to see a new Dinghy with functional guns on it - and maybe some armoured PT boat too. Finally some AA vehicle would be lovely (maybe a Patriot type vehicle) that is able to shoot heatseaking missiles (yes, those that can be dodged by a good pilot, so it stays balanced):

Some interesting things I expect or would like to see included in FF Part 2...

 

* Another version of an in-game car with kuruma-like armor.

 

* Armored transport vans.

 

* Full-body armor like what is used in singleplayer.

 

* More combat-style clothing in general.

 

* Small, Medium, & Large Warehouses and High-ride Offices.

* Also I bet the properties will have accessible cameras monitoring the premises like in apartments.

 

* Maybe NPC bodyguards.

 

* Possibility for a 6th in-game property.

 

* More mob-style clothing.

There's no "part 2" to this... It's all one update. Good list though.

Wonder if Rockstar are planning on any content with the mansions in Rockford hills. There is one that has garage doors that look like they could be used for a 10 car interior but i don't think the others do. It would be pretty cool to have proper mansions, though.

That's like being thankful to Ford for selling cars, they are not making them as a gift to you because you're so cool, they're making them to sell them to you, is not a gift, it's a market transaction. The fact that people demands certain quality/quantity for that stuff is nothing more than telling the company that they better make these things that you want to buy, it's a win/win situation, we get what we want and C* makes more money from cash cards sales, how this is not clear to some people is beyond me.

That's like being thankful to Ford for selling cars, they are not making them as a gift to you because you're so cool, they're making them to sell them to you, is not a gift, it's a market transaction. how much would you pay for a couple of cosmetic items and some car reskins? $10 for the whole thing? but then again if they did that then little kids wouldnt be asking for $100 shark cards would they?

 

dlc is a scam. it was decent when they first started doing it now they just lock half the content on the disc and force you to pay for your game level by level. in cases like destiny the next update turns all the old stuff into useless garbage and makes all the time you spent grinding meaningless.

 

fanboys still get their panties in abunch over the term cockstar? does rockstar still break the game with each new update? have they banned all the obvious cheaters not even trying to hide? have they patched the wall breaches yet? is the game an unplayable nightmare for legit gamers on 3 out of the 5 ways to play it? with the remaining two starting to get ruined? but they protected the sale of their precious cash cards and disable money glitches in about a week? yeah, sounds like cockstar to me.

 

not that it matters. cockstar is too busy counting their half a billion made off a free game with its free dlc.

Not a scam, it's a perfectly valid, cheap and rotten, but valid business model, incomplete game free addons since the MP experience requires to be a big number of active players, which will be affected if DLCs are paid, not to mention that paid DLCs would fragment the community. Plus with free DLCs you're not required to invest much money, you just throw in whatever that you want

I get the feeling that we'll get some more info tomorrow, maybe a little bit more clarity regarding the whole "trafficking" aspect of the update, and on Thursday, we'll get the trailer that showcases a lot of new stuff.

Hope about the update introduces Yusuf Amir? I kinda liked that guy in Ballad of Gay Tony. Sure, he was crazy, but he was there for you, blowing cars up.
