Damn i didn't even know the martin missions were originally for story mode assassinations. Yep we definitely might see a Online orientated GTA 6 game just from your LinkedIn findings and GTA Online enormous earnings from Shark Cards alone. i said this before but i theorize that GTA 6 will have a story mode but it will only be through online kinda like Destiny and the Division. heck they may even allow our characters to speak finally with voices of our choosing.

 

And who knows all the other content we've gotten in GTA Online thus far could have been originally planned for story mode dlc like the Lowriders update could have been a Franklin DLC or ill gotten gains clothing could have been for Micheal and Franklin despite the fact that some of the clothing we get as DLC is just recycled single player clothing.

lmao.. yeah no that's not going to be the case. The majority of people that originally bought GTAV bought it 2 weeks before there was even an online multiplayer. The multiplayer is NOT the primary draw to this game. They would ruin the franchise if they focused on multiplayer like Destiny/Division.

Well, not realy no.

 

While the main GTA V scripting Staff is working on Online Mode at the moment.[again source is LinkedIn]

there is still a dedicated scipting team for GTA Vs Singleplayer, including roles such as "Lead Technical and flow designer", "Lead Level Designer", "Lead Mission Designer", "Mission Designer", "Senior Mission Designer" etc.

so while a lot of people are working on Online components, there is also a significant Singleplayer team.

 

I assume it will be similar to GTA V, one scripting team works on the Singleplayer component and one scripting works on the Online component, the difference being that the people who work on the Online component will make a seemless transition from GTA Online to GTA Online Next, as those people are also currently working on the DLC for GTA Online.

Why is everyone on GTA 6 already? You won't see it for another 3 or 4 years and that doesn't include delays. Also if everyone believes GTA V is dead, what makes you think GTA 6 will be better? Everyone believes that creativity is gone now the Benz has departed. The previous statement completely nullifies the point of even making another GTA game, based off what has been expressed in this forum. There are other players behind the scenes that can reconcile GTA V. Do you believe TTI and Rockstar Games will let a proven money making product just fall off the cliff? They can't afford to do that, because they have other video games they are working on and the technology required to make them better than their predecessors ain't cheap. They are not done wowing us in GTA V. It makes perfect business sense for them to keep developing it, especially if they plan to fund their projects and pay their employees. Also consider the GTAV is the only major game from RSG that people play too.

You'd be surprised what the influence of money can due to people. plus look at what gaming is coming to anyway. everything is now becoming mostly online orientated to support digital gaming. That DRM controversy that Xbox was doing will not be the last we see of that as they was not done for nothing but to support online gaming only. (i believe Sony was trying to do the same but thats another story).

 

Perhaps gaming related industries such as Sony & Microsoft seen statistics showing that more players/consumers are mostly concerned with online gameplay rather than the story/offline mode and that more consumers are being invited due to that. So Rockstar like many other developers are pushed to have a online focused game with the likelihood of a ambitious and most astonishing online story mode. Also im just saying this from the fact of The Benz not being apart of Rockstar might worry them of lacking in single player development so i'm not saying this is a fact but just speculation.

It's not about passion or art.. it's about money like you suggested. And a majority of the money is still coming from initial sales of GTAV, not their shark card sales. Just think practically about this... what do you think sold more? Single player will still remain the major selling point for the Grand Theft Auto series. The developers in interviews suggested a GTAOnline standalone experience down the line, which is definitely possible. But GTA6 will not be multiplayer focused.

It's not new, it's from 2014. So they've obviously been working on this story mode DLC for quite some time. And i'm pretty sure that they are working on a story DLC because otherwise they wouldn't of said 'some very exciting story mode DLC and much more', I wait with anticipation.

Story mode DLC was mentioned in a post in April, 2014, long before Leslie Benz left, they could have had all the main story parts sorted and left things they could easily create for Story and Online for last, which means some of the staff being moved to focus on Online wouldn't matter as much. I also highly doubt that they would simply drop it altogether or even "integrate" it into online, it's supposed to be a pretty massive DLC if it's for Story mode.

I can't help but notice that every time someone drifts even just a little off topic, Xenox is there immediately with his opinions and wannabe modding. I also can't help but notice that when someone does go off topic, it's Xenox' constant replying and arguing that drags it further and further off topic (which results in massive Xenox quote trains), despite him being the one who complains so much about it. Yes it its just my educated speculation based upon my evidence and Xenoxx staff rearrangment and earnings/statistics. but anything can happen as Rockstar has plenty of opportunities at hand. and like you said they even mentioned a possible GTA Online Standalone game wouldn't be of the table which i do remember i believe..

This happened to my "Bruh No!" meme i sent in response to someone asking if we watch XXII videos which we had clearly proved to be a fraud many times.
