Not-Rockstar released their Content Creator and said: "Create! We are looking for your awesome mods!"

Can you imagine it?

GTA: Diamond City FTW.K3YuNV3.jpg

That image perfectly summarizes the quality of most user created game modifications...

mods haven't been good for games in a LONG time. Back in the day, there were massive mods that changed the game into something entirely different. BF2 mods like the pirates mod and Project Reality were massive mods.

Now we just get half-assed ironman re purposed physics mods and mods that break the game.

Who gives a f*ck about the banwave. We ain't talking bout that sh*t up in here.

Then don't talk about the maintanance at all, since an Update will NOT come with it.

I don't care about quality as long it's entertaining. And there are fun mods around.

Sometimes mods surpass vanilla content, and it's a pleasant exception from the rule.

Lowriders? Been done. I must congrat R* on intricate liveries, though.

My thinking out loud wishlist/wank fantasy would be...

Heists 2

Story Mode DLC (with new elements that carry over to online)

A new range of properties, particularly up the west coastline

Return of Special Crates and exclusive rewards

New unlocks for players ranked 120+

Failing that, I'd take anything that's not adversary/low-rider related.

Edit: apologies, this should have gone in the wishlist thread.

No exclusive rewards please that is so not good. I rather they do have the properties like you said where you said, new cars, new clothing that we've been asking for finally, making the yacht worthwhile, more hairstyles like real long hair finally, new missions that you can do solo or with friends, the 120+ unlocks is a cool idea too, not sure what that would be. I'd love to see some new aircraft in just stuff we can earn right away if we want. I like playing missions or vip stuff or just whatever then buying things. I don't like item unlocks behind content though.

So, any leaks yet?

More adversary modes, prius lowrider, seminole lowrider is also in the update but will be released two weeks later. While you wait there will be tons of exciting events: a playlist that consists of 2 races and 50% off vending machine drinks. Oh, and a t-shirt.

I just hope they fix the missing outfits.

Either take my police uniform or don't, just stop randomly deleting outfits on both characters!

Banwave? I don't think they really need to shut down the servers to start one, so IMO they are either preparing them for a new, big update (Unlikely) or just trying to fix the issues many have been reporting lately.

You know if more games actually gave us proper mod tools instead of implementing bullsh*t drm then we'd get better mods.

What this man said. You can't expect people to create mods like it was possible for BF2 or so, because we have no official support for it. And guess why? Because it would make paid DLC packs useless. Imagine BF4 had mod tools. We'd probably seen all BF3 maps ported within 1/4 year and new custom maps a 3/4 later.

Same with GTA. I think it's quite nice to see what is possible with user made tools. Pretty certain we'd have LC, new heists, and what-not already if R* released proper tools.

Yeah maybe. That's why modding nowadays is stupid. Any mods that you can download are usually half-assed crap and not worth the time of day. Sure stuff would be better if it was officially supported, but it's not.. so mods suck. Doesn't matter why, thta's just the cold hard fact.

I must have missed something, what is p_assist ? p_assist was another possible attribute relative to the speculated future VIP missions, if I am remembering correctly.

It's not just lack of tools. Mods of that complexity in current game engines, with current-quality graphics, are incredibly time-consuming to make. Same thing with the games they are modding. A relatively small team cranked out GTA3 in a relatively small amount of time; GTA V had as many people involved as a big budget Hollywood movie, and it actually took longer to make, too.

Making mods that are just small additions to the game, and repurpose things that already exist, is far more reasonable for one or two individuals to do.

I think everything here is great BUT one thing-unlocks for ranked 120+ is pointless due to current modders etc.Other than that, ace list my friend :^:

What if they removed that stupid cycling noise from the Heavy Sniper so it actually sounded like a M107 when fired? Or made the Marksman Rifle Scope removable? Or fixed the scopes on ARs and make them black like they did when the Heists DLC dropped, but unfixed them a week later? What if they fixed the weapons system so we had a storage place for guns? WHAT IF they added new weapons that were actually detailed and sounded nice? Hypothetically, wouldn't this be pretty much a 100% positive feedback small update? Wouldn't it be nice to have good weapons that are fun to use, since we spend most of our time in this game with a gun drawn? I mean, new gun skins can be made. Easily. They've demonstrated this with the Yusuf Amir/ Gilded Gunmetal/ Etched Wood skins. Why not make PvP fun with cooler weapons since its such a huge part of the game?

I hope they'll start releasing more weapons that are actually unique and fun to use. We already have a bunch of automatic weapons that feel more or less the same and many of them are kinda pointless tbh since you can get weapons like the Bullpup rifle on level 0(which correct me if I'm wrong is still the best assault rifle in the game). Where are weapons like the flamethrower and chainsaw?
