Why do people want a casino?. Firstly rockstar would never do it as they simply dont have confidence they can code something like that without glitches. Secondly, if they could you would all be poor. Thirdly and just for fun the outrage of introducing gambling into a game kids play where real money is involved would be outrageous, it would make publicity but very bad and on a scale rockstar couldnt deal with. It's not going to happen.

1) I can code a damned random number generator that can add or subtract from a variable. Wouldn't be that hard for D* to do it. . 2) I do agree, most people would go broke. 3) This isn't a f*cking kids game. If you're buying this game for your kid you should be dropped on your head.

 

Exactly its not a kids game. that sh*t says RATED M-17+. i don't have a problem with playing with kids in a lobby as long as they have a Mature Mentality as not all are just annoying and loud squeakers that there parents leave abandoned in their room with no attention to them. I remember hearing a story on the news where some parents let their child play the game so long that they had died. i'm like wtf are some parents doing these days.

 

 

Its not a kids game but a TON of kids play it. You have to remember gambling is a touchy subject and illegal in many places. It does a great deal of harm no doubt about that, we all know someone thats lost a buisness, house or family to gambling.

killing is worse than gambling... so lets remove that from the game because kids play the game and its illegal worldwide, on top of that we all know someone that have been killed.

Whatever they're going to do needs to happen soon. Once Uncharted 4 hits, GTAO will literally be me and the tumbleweeds without a damned good reason for people to keep playing it...

meh people said the same about watchdogs, destiny, mgs, division, etc etc etc

GTA Online 43 000 concurrent playres on PC at the moment.

 

Battlefield 4 has 30 000 concurrent playres on PC at the moment.

 

And this is not even considering Social Club copies of GTA V, while all copies of BF4 are considered.

It is the only thing I'm looking forward too, if it happens that is. An A&A is definitely needed.

I agree that we're long overdue for a new A&A, especially now that we're left in the dark. Hope we will have one pretty soon.

Proper High Latitude, Low Opening skydiving gear is needed! Goggles, oxygen masks that cover more of the face, even a full helmet/goggles/mask thing and a proper reserve chute on the front of the person. Also larger parachutes would be super cool. Maybe another version of the Titan, where everyone in the back could line up and jump, in a different color or even a model with jet engines. A wrist altimeter would be cool so in first person we can see our altitude and coordinate openings and things. Long lasting hand flares with a s***-ton of smoke that can be seen from a few thousand feet would be icing on the cake. I know it's all wishful thinking but if possible, R* should raise the ceiling to like 15,000 feet or something like that. It would give randoms even more reason to interact and do truly awesome stuff together. I know it's wishing but Fun's cryptic post got me thinking and this just sounds like too much fun!

I want to sink 100 mil into a REAL yacht. That sh*t they gave us in EaOC was absolutely pathetic. So low-tech, boring. The yacht from TBoGT is what I wanted. Modern, sleek, minimalist. But with better customization options and you know, one that can actually move.

So, yeah, if it's "dying," it seems to be burning pretty damned brightly ont he way out.. .or you're just making sh*t up.

38,366 players on the PC (steam) version of Grand Theft Auto V.

 

So yes.. there are more players in Grand Theft Auto V. However... this does not take into account that a large chunk of those players are also likely playing the Grand Theft Auto V single player, NOT the online. Whereas the player count for Battlefield 4 is made up almost entirely of online players. Oh.. and it came out several years BEFORE grand theft auto, suggesting it has far longer lifetime and value with PC gamers. Grand Theft Auto on PC just has too many hackers and it killed off the huge chunk of players very quickly.

 

If you look at an annual graph of players coming and going to both these games, Battlefield 4 has leveled out and even adopted a large group of new players, whereas Grand Theft Auto V has been in decline ever since release and it's still dropping.

 

So I apologize, I was previously incorrect in saying that BF4 has more players than GTAV. However.. I am correct in saying that the player count has diminished significantly faster than it did for Battlefield 4. BF4 had far more players actively playing at this point in its lifetime than GTAV has now. So yes.. it's dying.. pretty f***ing fast.

Don't be completely butthurt if there aren't any more dlcs larger than what we're getting now. R* would have to keep lead designers on gtao when they're needed for whatever the next project is. You don't get Heists and E&OC from the part timers.

Well, there's your problem.

 

The only people who care about GTAO on PC are PC players who can't get past the "master race" meme. Everyone else knew it'd be a hacker filled sh*tfest from launch 'til they day it's shutdown, and that was proven.

 

Come back when you can provide some console numbers, which clearly you cannot since they won't exist. Needless to say, it's going to by my experience to yours but I'm just going to stand by the simple fact that GTA V still sells for full price as an example that player counts are hardly as awful as you suggest.

 

When it gets a price cut, then you'll know it's in need of a fresh influx of players, however after 2.5 years it's still selling remarkably well. Matter of fact, with one google search I turned up http://www.vgchartz.com/which tells me that GTA V is still the #7 best selling PS4 game worldwide.

 

So, no. Not dying. Not even close.

i'm more of a big spender type of guy so in the long run i might be good with the current style updates.BEFORE the rehash of benny related stuff that is. it's Always nice when a new gameplay aspect is brought in but it doesn't have to be game changing for me tbh. heck i had a great deal with the amount of purchasable content back in ill gotten gains. so i think that "filler" content like that is a nice deal with the more expanding updates being more further appart.

Actually, BF4 came out circa 2 weeks before GTA V...not years..but you are comparing apples and oranges.

Every single player I know abandoned PC for PS4 because of hacking in GTAO. That being said GTA V is still in the top 10 selling games on steam consistently.
