Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

@CarimboHanky I know it's not illegal, it's just polite to credit him or at least ask if he's cool with his picture being used - I'd be flattered if Ross or any YouTuber for that matter used one of my pics in their video, but to each his own. In that case, these last couple pages of drama could be avoided and the keyboard warrior doesn't have to come to a DLC thread to complain about the horrible injustices First World humans have to face on a daily basis. And I'm impressed with all the people knowing the law here, most don't.

With all due respect Fun, you really shouldn't fuel this argument any further than it already has. The other forum user has already lost this argument, and further adding to it will just derail the thread even further than it already has.

 

Let's talk about something relevant. The next DLC, we are a little clueless as to what it will contain. It would be nice to see more Sports cars enter Benny's, like in the Drop Zone update. What other cars would you like to see in Bennys?

I'm not really interested with new content, one thing I would like to see in the next DLC is official support to GTAF League.

GTAF League could evolve into environment that will let you have more fun than playing a couple of Adversary modes.

With "official support", Uni could have a custom tunables and a tool that let him create new accounts and set RP and GTA$ for them.

The custom tunables can be used for league rules, setting high prices for Lester services to make sure no one use them or set high prices for all vehicles except one vehicle to make sure everyone use it.

At least it would be something that will let me return to the game to participate in.

Uni might find exploit that will allow him to upload something inside the cloud to announce a fake DLC.

And yet, you've no idea how copyright works? *smdh* You still can not claim it as your work, because you used R*'s/TT's IP. And, I would assume, used it without express consent, thus any type of picture using their assets is theirs, not yours. This really applies to anyone anywhere using existing IPs to create content. Youtubers, Let's Players, Machinima Artists, etc., should seek express, not implied, consent to use and profit from a 3rd party's assets. The EULA is not used for this, it is a mere agreement between consumer and servicer to where the consumer agrees not to abuse the IP and profit off it without said express consent. So, again, your plea for trial is denied, and MrBoss should seek counsel with R* should he want to continue to make money off GTA and any other IP (nothing against youtubers, or anyone else that makes a living with this stuff, it is just the law).

Another High Life Update 2.0, Business Update 2.0, possibly a Army DLC in May 30th (Memorial Day) A remembering military service members who served in the military who had died.

Although, there is still much potential to be added to both GTA's Single Player and Online (Casino, Bahama Mamas etc.), I'm almost certain this year will be the last year for GTA V updates. You shouldn't trust Rockstar when they say sh*t like "we will carry on with GTA Online as long as people are still playing...". They always change their minds. It is about their best interests not yours.

 

We should just wait for May 3rd as previously stated for an update. Hopefully the update contains something worth while to keep players occupied to avoid any attention about this lawsuit. I'm still waiting and wishing we will receive news/announcement relating to the future of GTA Online or the next Update next week before the update.

 

 

 

 

 

It's simple, as long as GTA Online generates revenue, they will continue with it, so as long as a lot of people keep playing it, it will stay supported.

 

Regarding the next Update, my take on it is, "probably early may, I'll let you know."

Damn i notice the leaks aren't as massive as they used to be in GTA Online's early days. now we have to take so many things with a grain of salt with so little information and when we do get info its about annoying ass Benny's shop vehicles because their going overboard with it. If anything the leaks is what hyped me for playin GTA ONLINE every month because despite the game becoming boring, i always knew there was an awesome update around the corner and after. Ah the good ol' dayz!

Exactly. this is what pissed me off more. a half a billion earning R* made just from Shark Cards alone bro... i repeat Shark Cards alone. thats a blockbuster game sales right there but instead it was a damn micro-transaction. just to clear up im not pissed from my favorite game developer banking cash but the fact that despite the huge earnings they get i feel their commitment these recent months have been complete garbage. there are PC modders who would have revolutionized this game online just in three months with them getting nothing in return. so when i hear somebody say "but their free updates." which (i'm grateful for) you can't help but get annoyed to how inferior they are to mods and you knowing a Major developer such as R* could do FAR BETTER and have some gratefulness and dignity to do it for just the honor of being apart of such a legendary franchise with loyal fans.

Let us be honest. Rockstar aren't going to update GTA V for another 3/4 years no matter how much Shark cards they generate. They have to stop updating GTA V eventually and move on to other things. Whether this is to persuade players to buy their other products (Red Dead etc.). Rockstar/T2 even said they weren't going to "Milk" the franchise. I know, they are a Private Sector business who's aim is to generate profit, but you have to understand Shark Cards may cost more than the actual game but not everyone buys them, they should be considered a bonus rather than the main objective. Another example is just like what they did with LG saying things like they "have no plans to make a CG Version..." and then suddenly making everything Exclusive to CG. They sort of forced you to buy a CG version of GTA V without being physical. They will do the same with new games by slowly forcing you to buy their new games. Other franchises may not be as popular as GTA but if R* says something like "we are going to stop updating the game soon to focus on other projects", I know the number of GTA Players will fall dramatically.

 

Rockstar will do whatever is in their best Interest not yours. Anyway, the only way I can see them updating GTA Online, a couple of years from now is by giving us an update every 4 or so months, instead of the usual one per month which is unlikely at this point.
