EDIT: Looks like the ones in the first pic were meant to come with the game at release, while the ones in the second were supposed to be a DLC gun.

Hopefully we will get those guns that we belive was cut content. i think R* is waiting to use them obviously. it could be for Single Player DLC that Shawn Fonteno (Franklin's actor) is working on currently with rockstar which i believe will also be available for online of course.

There isn't a need to bash Fun for a simple error, as what you did can also easily be done in inspect element. Ross, of course, took your photo and used it in his video. Legally, you can't do jack sh*t to the guy as the game is not your property. I'm not trying to defend the guy, as I don't like him either, but threatening legal action is f*cking stupid.

@frapplatte, I don't know how the law works in South Africa, but I do know you cannot claim content that was made via 3rd party software without express permission. Your claim for trial is thus denied.

I would not rule out that he is the legitimate owner of said picture. Yes, he in fact "created" it, so he is the owner of his "artistic impression".

i can create the coolest picture in gta and i dont own jacksh*t, i have no legal rights over that content because the moment you put start the gta game in your console, you agree to waive your creative rights... everything you do is owned by TT/R* not by you!

you only have to ask for permission when dealing with copyrighted material, a in-game gta picture made by some dude, posted on the internet is not copyright material.

Crazy things (your words not mine) only happen when there isn't already a legal precedent. In copyright law like this there is a lot of precedent so even if you found a lawyer willing to take the case it would be thrown out as soon as the judge read the initial complaint.

 

You can create all you want from content in GTA but you will never own the image. If you don't believe me or Carimbo then call a lawyer yourself and ask them what your legal rights are in situations like this and they will tell you almost word for word what you have read here.

I have to agree with Carimbo here - everything you create is using GTA or even the playstation for that matter will be the ownership of Take Two/Rockstar and Sony Entertainment. It's sad that people making original content are the sole owners of the product but that's something we have to live with. You can attempt to put your stamp or watermark on it, but the ownership will still stay the same. I would not be surprised with GTAF has something written in their terms and conditions. Its just social media 101.

 

Same goes for anything uploaded to facebook. a few years ago, mark made a public statement, saying that anything you post on Facebook is the property of Facebook. Art, comments, all information you put on your profile can be sold, used and transferred to anything they please.

Ready weapons for DLC`s.

I remember seeing some discussion about these weapons back in the Beta hunt thread, and I want to say it was _CP_ who found this info, but I may be wrong.

 

So, those 4 cut weapons are named Heavy MG, Heavy Rifle, Assault Sniper, and Programmable AR. All 4 of these were THE orginal collectors edition weapons, which were replaced with the hammer, Pistol .50, and Bullpup shotgun. The reasons for this happening varies for each gun. If we take a look at the builds.xml log, we can see that the Programmable AR (XM25) was broken beyond repair, it didn't work at all. The model for the weapon was the only functioning thing about it.

 

Now let's look at the Heavy Rifle (SCAR-H). There aren't many mentions of it in the build log, but it did have an issue with its model constantly swapping with the normal Assault Rifle. Don't know much else about it.

 

The Heavy MG has a mention or two in the build log, but I can't remember what for. Same with the Assault Sniper, which was likely replaced by the marksman Rifle.

 

If any of this information is wrong, please don't hesitate to correct me.

Congratulations, you study a field of law. You don't own a single thing in this game, except for a copy of the game. Sure, you can take photos and modify them and say it's yours, but in reality, it's property of Rockstar North and Take Two as you used their service (Snapmatic/Rockstar Editor) in achieving these pictures. With all due respect Fun, you really shouldn't fuel this argument any further than it already has. The other forum user has already lost this argument, and further adding to it will just derail the thread even further than it already has.

 

Let's talk about something relevant. The next DLC, we are a little clueless as to what it will contain. It would be nice to see more Sports cars enter Benny's, like in the Drop Zone update. What other cars would you like to see in Bennys?
