Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

I'm curious about next DLC, because I'm concerned what R* will do to block vehicles in single player.

Although, there is still much potential to be added to both GTA's Single Player and Online (Casino, Bahama Mamas etc.), I'm almost certain this year will be the last year for GTA V updates. You shouldn't trust Rockstar when they say sh*t like "we will carry on with GTA Online as long as people are still playing...". They always change their minds. It is about their best interests not yours.

We should just wait for May 3rd as previously stated for an update. Hopefully the update contains something worth while to keep players occupied to avoid any attention about this lawsuit. I'm still waiting and wishing we will receive news/announcement relating to the future of GTA Online or the next Update next week before the update.

No, i say the childish saints row kind of action is something that should not be welcome to the next GTA, Its saints row-ish enough as it is. It ruined the F&F series IMO. All characters having superhuman powers all the sudden, its all bullsh*t. Whats next? Jumpin a car from a building onto a rocket, fly over to mars, go offroading there and fly back by jumping from a mars rock back into space and on its way home?

I'm so sick of this waiting game Rockstar has us playing. The least they could do is tell us their DLC schedule if they have one. Even then, just tell us that that they don't. This sh*t gets ridiculous after weeks of waiting only to be pacified with a boring, uncreative adversary mode and a lowrider. Man, I never would've expected GTAO to turn to sh*t like it has. It feels like a chore playing it nowadays, that's how boring it is. To be honest, it's quite sad when your game has to constantly be updated in order to be consistently fun.

That would mean it has been nearly 50 days since we received an actual update. No that leaves me to wonder whether this is what we can expect in the future or perhaps it was just a tester to see how this approach of tunables every week for 1 month would do.

We all know what they mean by that, as long as people keep buying cash kerds they will keep updating the game. Also, you really can't blame or pick on them for that, that's just how business is.

It'd be neat if they released the Beagle as a MH-53 variant or as a V-22 Osprey. In fact, I'd really, really like that. Heli DLC with the Hunter, a MH-53, V-22, even a Cargobob with a tail gunner or door gunners, unarmed Buzzard which can carry two extra people on the skids, even that super new Russian heli with the stacked main and no tail rotors. Also, the Police maverick without the livery would be super cool.

 

If they release one of these vehicles I'll buy a Shark Card. I have plenty of money but I'd just be so darn happy.

 

EDIT: MH-53M Pave Low with Cargobob armor or more, along with door gunners. Also the ability to carry several passengers.

That piece-by-piece strategy honestly would've worked had they added some actual new content and a little taste of variety.

For instance:

Week #1: A modern super car with some unique Benny's and LSC mod options.

Week #2: A muscle car with a bigger focus on LSC mods and being a class leader

Week #3: An executive sedan with power to boot. Decent LSC options but impressive performance

Etc...

That would work. Drip feeding us the same rehashed lowriders content doesn't. If anything, it turns a cool concept into trash and now lots of characters bash lowriders.

Yeah, I remember when Lowriders were one of the most requested things in GTA Online. Now they are one of the most hated.

 

Over saturation will do that. Hopefully May brings some new cars. I think everyone is burnt out on lowriders and even some people just burnt out on Benny's in general. I know they wanted to show off what could be done in Benny's but all these cars at once was a bad idea. If they had done the first set of lowriders in one part, with an update or two in between and then put out the Virgo Classic Custom, Slamvan Custom, Minivan Custom, Faction Donk, Sabre Turbo Custom and the Tornado Custom all together in a part two, then maybe people wouldn't be sick of them. Well, maybe not as many people, because there's always gonna be those people who think that their word is law and whatever they say they don't want shouldn't be added in. I think in the future, maybe as a final farewell whenever the game gets it's last few updates there will be more lowriders, like the Peyote, Washington, Manana and Emperor and who knows, maybe even a Stanier Donk.

That piece-by-piece strategy honestly would've worked had they added some actual new content and a little taste of variety.

I'd say it might have managed to generate interest simply if they hadn't patched all the cars in the original Custom Classics update. Datamined on day one. All the weekly reveals never meant anything because we knew what was coming. I guess even if we didn't know, the aftermath would have still been disappointing because the Minivan and Sabre Turbo have the absolutely laziest modification options.

F*cking idiots should stop bundling 2 updates in one just to rely on tunables.

to be honest, im surprised they still bundling updates after the massive leak of the halloween stuff, everything got leaked, samething again in december where everything had been leaked for weeks, the only thing they bundled and when out without being found was the sultan rs/banshee 900, the rest have all being found.

 

they should really stop doing that, eventho thats what fuel this thread haha

I was Joking about Heist involving a scene like that but lets not act like GTA hasn't had its turn in over the top missions. However i don't have a problem with crazy stunt scenes just as long as it doesn't carry over to silly ass and goofy plots which i believe was the down fall of Saints Row 3 and especially 4.

as for Fast & Furious being ruined they had no choice but to have over the top scenes as they became a big franchise with a ever growing audience with each new installment which featured ever growing over the top scenes. i see it as them doing something right as the franchise became a increasing hit.

There isn't a need to bash Fun for a simple error, as what you did can also easily be done in inspect element. Ross, of course, took your photo and used it in his video. Yeah they should do what marvel did when they had made their announcement of their phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But then again Rockstar isn't to keen of releasing things on time so it would be more of estimated quarters of the years

 

Heck even destiny had a Unreleased DLC schedule with codenames

in that case the problem is the people not the game...

 

the game have a lot of things to do, but people dont play them.

 

i like many many others played IV for years, that game didnt receive content like gtao does, yet people were happy.

 

now with gtao, we receive constant updates with new content almost every month since 2013, yet people are always "bored" eventho, like i said before, the game offers a lot of things to do but people dont play them, instead they just sit back and wait for R* to tell them what is "fun"

 

i have played this game pretty much everyday since release day, while sometimes i get bored of certain aspects of the game(pvp, missions, heist) theres always another thing to do that keeps me entertained.

 

in a sandbox, the game do not have a definitive beginning or end, your imagination is the only thing that could limit your fun.

I don't think they bundled the Banshee 900R and the RS.true that...

 

they came with the dropzone update which had the valentines update bundled.

they could tell us, "hey we are working on something" maybe throw some hints to generate hype but having them publish a schedule of future updates would simply kill that buzz that goes around when they announce the next dlc.
