Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

I wanna go back to Liberty City

Everyone wants to go back to LC, but I find it hard to believe Rockstar would add in an entire new city on a free content update, even if it's just a ported one. Still, I want to believe.

If they add a remastered, and hopefully expanded*, LC they'd likely treat it like LS and GTA:Online. It's "free" with the purchase of the $30-40 single player expansion that's set there....

 

*A few things they could update:

-complete construction on the buildings and bridge in IV

-the amusement park has been restored to it's glory days

-Expand Alderny's landmass. They could expand the NW corner and add another Airport

-Add a new island for The Carraways. Everyone kept begging for luxury mansions, so give the fans what they want. Luxury mansions in the GTA HD Universe version of the Hamptons. (It was supposed to be in IV before they cut it in favor of a smaller map)

 

Better yet, the expansion could be created by Rockstar Leeds. They could bring back their drug dealing, scratch cards, etc from GTA:CW but do it justice with a full version of IVs map. (Instead if the watered down version they had to use due to the DS's limitations.)

 

 

Meanwhile the rumor that the LC rumor is false becuase Rockstar North is working on something in the north (plus Micheal's VA tweet about where to take a vacation to with North Yankton being listed) could mean a fully done 2013 North Yankton map expansion... After all its in the realm of possibilities that Rockstar North could have been working on North Yankton story expansion the last few years, while Rockstar Leeds was busy working on Liberty City story expansion. (The conflicting rumors would be a result of the two different studios working simultaneously on seperate story expansions.) Of course it's just wishful thinking... but just imagine E3 2016: Two massive expansions for GTAV/Online (North/Leeds) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (San Diego) are announced to release in 2016, after years of silence. They could go even further with a surprise that the first GTAV/Online expansion is available to purchase and download right after the E3 announcement. Whuch could result in all three stores crashing as everyone that owns current GTA is trying to buy the expansion. (Again, extremely unlikely to happen and very wishful thinking, but you never know...)

 

 

I like your thinking. But i find it extremely unlikely we're going to get TWO map expansions. It's already unlikely that we're getting ONE expansion lol.

 

Red Dead 2 is definitely getting a reveal this E3 for sure. And there's potential for a GTAOnline related announcement. I think a "GTAOnline Standalone" will get announced, since they had originally intended on doing that a long time ago.

Screw the amusement park - I just wanna visit old places and possibly get new contacts like Jacob, maybe do some stuff for UL paper, maybe I could get my character hired idk. Just wanna go back and explore in an HD universe. The drug dealing aspect would be nice - it was implemented with TBOGT so why not add it now?

 

I wanna take over LC, be a boss, have a house / condo and have the ability to go from LS to LC & back if needed. You get tired of seeing the same map for almost 3 years. I especially wanna go visit Alderney & Bohan for some reason - idk.

 

I would seriously pay $60 just to go for an expanded map like that.

The amusement park could be a fun diversion that offers prizes for beating the various mini games. Which is something GTA has been lacking since GTA:SA. Some of the games could even be PvP, with various prize selections for 1st, 2nd 3rd. Plus they could add the Go-Kart track introduced in CW.

 

That being said finally getting new contact missions would be great. We could get missions from:

 

-Brucie

-Little Jacob

-Tony/Luise

-Yusuf

-Whoever is now in charge of UL (perhaps Karen informs them about you due to your previous work with her in LS)

-Whoever is charge of the LC Lost. (It could finally give players the biker content they've wanted)

-etc

 

If the cities are expansions we should be able to freely switch between them via:

 

-Airport

-Aircraft

-Swimming

-Watercraft

-Yacht

 

Plus the ability to travel could boost Expansion sales. They'd have to release a support update containing all of the new vehicles, clothing, weapons, etc. That way all of your personal belongings can travel with you. A friend that's hesitant about purchasing the expansion might get jealous of seeing players use the LC content in LS and it could be the push they need to buy the dlc. (Not to mention Take-Two could make additional profits off of the expansion via potential Shark Card sales spurred on by adding a games worth of content to Online.)

Almost brought a tear to my eye.

 

I've been apart of almost all the groups he mentioned in the video, especially the Military groups, but Biker crews are my second favorite, they seriously need some love!

The vehicles list found in Oct 2015 or Sep 2015 contained vehicles from both parts.

Then after the Lowriders update, we found new animations for Lowriders 2 and the weapons list as well.

that would make no sense at all if you ask me...

 

at this point v and gtao are 2 different games but, i still dont see them selling gtao as a standalone game, if they do, i think we can kiss goodbye the story mode of the future gta, which would be a big mistake by R*, even worse if it means they could start cutting the game in pieces and selling it separately, they would really turn into EA games.

That was a well made video that does shine light about bikers lacking in content. im not much of a biker unless its sports bikes but some cool leather jackets i'm down for. the biker update should be influenced by the Lost MC and Uptown Riders. by the way speaking of Uptown Riders, i think Malc who was the president i believe of Uptown Riders should have his own DLC expansion in Los Santos.

Includes the police scanner mentioned suspect wearing a police uniform, suspect wearing a fireman attire uniform. I gather information from that thread. What do you guys think?
