Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

Mods were kind enough to open this thread again, I don't know what's up with the flaming and all, but if people could stop acting like kids it would really help.... I'm planning to update the OP as we get new infos and leaks about the update, so really if you don't have anything worthwile to say then please don't post in this thread so it doesn't get locked again.

I think the team that worked on the cars from the start isnt the same team working on it today. I mean we have seen the Banshee fail and with the armored car fiasco/classes. It's all in different hands now.

 

They work with scrapped material from months back. Thats not right. Why don't they ask us what we want. Make a poll on their website. Vice City Theme, Bikers or Racing. Let the community decide on the theme.

 

That's an excellent idea. That last part. You know, NFS just added a whole bunch of requested content to their new game. You know when EA starts listening that something is up.

If it really is going to include the Rat Loader, I seriously hope they fix the interior. Still hate that stupid 80s Chevy truck interior.

Yeah - and I hope that upgrading a Rat-Loader at Benny's will improve the sound of the engine to something more growly like the one under the hood of the Rat-Truck...if it retains the Rat-Loader's damp squib of an engine, I won't be buying one!

Brakes and ability to negate a curve at over 15mph would be awesome, too. But i can live with interior and chassis if sound is good enough.

One thing I hope for is a higher resolution for the rusted texture. I modified a Ratloader for the first time in a long time recently, and when I started taking screenshots of it up close I realized that it was apparently ignored when the game was ported to CG & PC. Go take a close look at one with the default worn paint, it looks like it's sculpted from wet clay.

We'll allow this to stay open for now, but the rules of the original DLC topic (which will remain closed for now) remain. If you're just going to spam and flame people for speculating, then just stay out of the thread. If you can't resist being a keyboard warrior, then you'll just end up with a temp ban, and this kind of discussion really isn't worth losing your posting rights over.

 

Please be vigilant and report rule-breaking posts to be removed so we can keep this at the very least semi-ontopic. I know Yan has been reliable in the past so it's likely we could have something to chew on in here later on, so there's no need to get butthurt at the people who want to discuss it and see how things progress.

Never been a big fan of the lowrider cars, I'm more of euro/exotic person.

 

The ones I got so far were the Banshee & the Sultan, because the style is totally different. They only share the Benny's brand. The only proper lowrider car I got was the Voodoo, and I literally just got it because I wanted to remove the rust and add an antenna.

 

I still look forward to the DLC for new weapons and/or animations, functions in the interaction menu, and maybe, just maybe the tires to be fixed.

I partially agree. I think some of the vanilla cars were created by car lovers, and some were made by ppl who drive a prius and think sports cars are for tools. Whoever made the mamba should get a raise imo. While the guy who made the engine note for the LG Coq Classic, shoulda been fired. Dont even get me started about the franken stange. That thing is orgasmic. I think it'll be a year or more before they run out of cut content tbh.

I'm also not that big of a fan. Hot rods on the other hand sound sweet. Of course, as long as we're getting quality content, then I don't care. And by quality, I mean no faulty textures or performance flaws or clear signs of a rush job. As long as that's not the case then I'm fine.

 

Doesn't mean a new Pfister would hurt though. Just sayin...

The yacht update was released just to milk the kids even more on christmas. We will not see a major update until christmas 2016. And its all bennys fault

For those saying Yan should leak all the content at once, instead of giving us subtle hints and some bits and pieces. I've said this twice now in the past few days. He can't release all his info due to the threat of possible legal action taken by Take Two. Not everything he knows is in the games files. Content in the current game versions files could be considered public info, thus making it legal to leak in a sense. Unreleased files that are not yet publicly available could be considered illegally obtained. Releasing these publicly prior to their release could result in some serious consequences.

 

I understand you all want to know what's coming in this new update. Trust me, I do too, but I would prefer not to see a good community member get screwed because of a leak. Let's be patient and act like adults here and have some civil and speculative conversation. After all, that's why this thread is here.

As long as it isnt a reskin. Something with bombs would be sweet. Just cause 3 has bombers.....Just Sayin. They could limit the power/reload to keep it balanced. Maybe 3 bombs then a decent reload.

It'd be cool if the Cuban 800 had the ability to drop bombs like in the Arms Trafficking missions from SP.

That would be perfect. I woukd like to see a modern bomber also. Maybe give us the p996 from pegasus w different versions that have different loadouts. The rustler would be cool also imo.

There was 5 years and a half between the release of GTA IV and GTA V. Don't want to disappoint you, but you still have a long time to wait. I'm not expecting any new GTA title until at least 2018-2019
