Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

Well sorry that I respect every car culture and I don't care about what others drive in an online videogame. Please proceed to tell me how I have no taste whatsoever and what cars should I drive.

I also respect every car culture out there, except donks. I respect what I like, dislike and even hate. But donks are special, and not in a positive way. There are always exceptions in terms of car culture. Sometimes it's just so utterly and unequivocally ridiculous, hideous, disgusting, that it doesn't deserve any respect at all. You can't use "to each their own" for literally everything. It's not a universal excuse to safeguard any culture, no matter how appalling, from the hate that it's due. There's a line that can be crossed, and the result of crossing said line is that the culture is so bizarre that "to each their own" doesn't apply anymore. Example: I create a new culture within art. I create the nasty habit of editing paintings after purchasing them from the painter, because I like doing so. This practice would be so hated within the art world that I can't just say "to each their own" and get away with it. Sometimes there is so much hate that something should be regarded as being a bastardisation of the culture it is derived from.

Putting abnormally and obnoxiously huge wheels on a car (off-road wheels excluded), along with a livery of a fast food chain is unequalled in lack of taste and so horribly appalling that I say donks have crossed the line and don't deserve any respect. As I've said before, we've had many different cars added, from 30's luxury cars to 70's European cars to modern lowriders, and the hate that every single one of these probably hundreds of vehicles has gotten combined does by far not equal teh hate that donks alone have gotten lately. That's a powerful signal. A signal that translates to donks being different, that translates to donks crossing a line, that translates to donks being a bastardisation of car culture and in being so, excluded from the standard respect car cultures in general get.

TL;DR you have no taste and you should drive any other car in the game than donks.

Kinda over the whole car meet/show scene as a whole but I prefer c&c over the rest even though a lot of the people there are full of themselves. I think cars are made to be driven not sit in a parking lot. But the racing meets aren't taken kindly to by the police lol.

Donk = 1971-1976 Chevrolet Impala, Caprice & Belair. Donk is a nickname specific to these cars and these cars ONLY, because of the body style and the Impala symbol looking like a Donky. The term Donk has NOTHING to do with the type of rims or size of rims. Trick Daddy can be to blame for the term now used to generalize any car on big wheels because of his song Donk Ryder & the music video showing his famous green Donk on big wheels. However, this "Donk" update brings back the glory days of Midnight Club Los Angeles and has single handidly made me return to online. Id given up. So this update may be "stupid" to some but it brought me back anf I have a friend who bought this game just for the Donk update & another who bought an entire PS4 just for this update. Js. So it does draw in new people even if it does seem stupid to some

Personally I like everything, from jacked up 4x4s, to slammed and cambered cars, to mini trucks, to donks, and everything in between. I especially love the fact R* lets us do the Shakotan/Zokusha mods to the Warrener.

It only happens here in TN, but the Pigeon Forge Rod Runs are the best examples of car meets I've ever seen. Seven miles filled with all kinds of classic & rare cars on both sides of the main drag. The next one is happening in mid April, and I can't wait to go. I highly recommend trying to find something like this in your area, because it's an amazing experience for any car enthusiast.

Should donk owners get a free pass to destroy your vehicle if they dislike how it looks?

^Pigeon Forge has a section on their website dedicated to advertising the dates, which I think is the first result on Google. The upcoming Rod Run in April starts on the 14th and ends on the 16th. Aside from this one, the next one will be in mid September, and they always happen on Friday & Saturday. I wish you luck finding a good hotel if you decide to go, cheapest I found that wasn't a fleabag was $80/night in Gatlinburg. Hotels on the main drag itself go up as far as $400/night, it's insane.

It's funny when people blow mine up during contact missions cause they're just either extremely nerfing or completely eliminating their payout.
