In the videos, it looks like the Tornado is getting the same wheel treatment as the Voodoo: tiny wheels that are pulled in, leaving wheel wells that seem more empty than occupied. In other words, stupid-looking.

...It's a lowrider.

I'd like more restomod-type cars at Benny's, where you can customize them in equal depth but the hydraulics and smaller wheels aren't added. I'd happily pay the full upgrade price for that. I have a long-beloved Sabre Turbo that I would enjoy customizing just a bit further. But I want to keep it a regular muscle car, not make it into a bouncing lowrider. Sadly, doesn't look like that is going to be an option.

Yes...I think what we're both really looking for is more like a hot rod.

I got rid of the Voodoo as soon as I saw thought, which was disappointing because I very much wanted a clean Voodoo, and I'm going to pass on the Tornado lowrider for the same reason.

Is it the negative camber you're talking about? I love it on my Faction Custom.

I was going to leave my insured/modded rusty Tornado rusty anyway, but wow, that does actually look kind of...bad. Never converted a Voodoo so I never noticed it.

Pat has it correct above. It's the empty space in the wheel wells I don't like, and the way the wheels/tires look too small for the car. And the way they're pulled in towards center...not pointed in or turned in. If you understand automotive terms, I'm not talking about camber, caster, or toe...I'm talking about track width, the way it seems to be reduced. Or maybe the wheels/tires have been made narrower in addition to being shrunk, only all the width has come off the outside.

I think my problem is I've been watching too many shows like Bitchin' Rides, Fast n' Loud, Overhaulin', and Counting Cars. Basically the whole Velocity channel.

I understand that what I want is a different culture from lowriders, I just wish we had more hot rodding choices in addition to the lowrider options.

I have wierd feeling that part 2 of this part 2 gonna be weak.
Sabre and Tornado have almost same customizations and Minivans interior is taken directly from Moonbeam.

That being said I hope that we will see

Grand Theft Auto: Online (Because F*ck SP)
Lowriders Part 3:
Quick Cash Grab
More GTA IV Vehicles That We Cut During Development™

Soon.

And I'm not gonna complain.

Since the Lowriders update, R* are giving to us vehicles from GTA IV+Episodes

- Lowriders + Halloween Update - 2 Vehicles (Moonbean and Faction)

- Executives and Other Criminals + Festive Surprise 2015 - 2 Vehicles (Cognoscenti + Tampa)

- January 2016 + Be My Valentine - 1 Vehicle (Sultan RS)

- Lowriders: Custom Classics - 1 Vehicle (Virgo Classic [Virgo])

Probably we'll get another vehicle from GTA IV+Episodes on the next update (Vapid Fortune? Dundreary Stretch? Grotti Blade?)

If i had to quickly and quietly suffocate a couple small children to get a early 90's Fortune, or gasp, retro fortune, i'd prolly have to do it...

This pretty much. I do appreciate that R* do put a fair amount of work into these vehicles but more options would be nice. What we ultimately need is an option to change the wheel size. Surely that can't be overly difficult to put in and it would give more modding options to players who don't just want a lowrider. The Tornado is based from the 57 chevy bel air which is a very versatile car when it comes to mods. Just a shame we don't have all those options for the game version.

Smaller wheels and more space in wheel wells is the entire point of "low riding" to make the car appear as if "slammed" on the ground. The entire point/function of hydralics was too raise your car up when cops came around, they use to ticket the "low riders" for driving unsafe vehicles. They had to be above a certain height off the ground (clearance) or it could be ticketed and/or impounded. If you only know about low riding from rap videos/other video games, etc. Atleast ask someone who knows the how and why of it all, instead of whinning about the wheels are to small.

And yes, im from cali.

And yes, i grew up doing this.

And yes, before i complained about nascar/stock cars, i researched the origins of it, and yes, you do sound stupid ass f*ck.

Well, Mr Smartass, this is 2015, and technology has improved. No need to use smaller wheels and tires to make it "appear" slammed. You can actually do that now. No visual tricks needed. Besides that, nobody cares why here. We care about the car looking stupid. Beisides that, laws have changed, and you know as well as I do that Lowriders today have hydraulics and small wheels for a completely different reason now. To look the part.

and yes, where you are from is irrelevant

and yes, what you did as a kid is irrelevant

and yes, stock cars are ironically lower irl than any lowrider in the game.

Brung it.

So, cause dude wants to style the '57 chevy closer to a hot rod look, he is knocking your car culture and he sounds stupid?

Alright. I mean, you're wrong, but alright.

You know if you modify the inner wheel well a bit to allow for proper spacing, you can still drop the thing right on the frame without using those hokey ass looking 13" rims, but you know. Whatever. There are tons of ways to lay the car on the ground without using little tiny wheels. sh*t is lazy. (see now this is sort of attacking you car culture)

I think at the end of the day all of us just want to slam the sh*t in the weeds and make it look clean. Some of us just think the little wheels look like sh*t. I respect the art of it, and I respect the work that goes into lowriding, but it ain't my thing. I don't have anything against lowriders man, its just a preference thing. If you could do your thing and I could do mine, it'd be no problem, but since I'm forced to have the tiny wheels, it kinda sucks, and some of us are gonna pitch a bitch.

How long do we have to shoot the wheels on the tornado to get the look we want for the car? sh*t has been going on since day one. When I heard we were getting a lowrider version of the tornado I thought "finally no more, it's over"... but nope 13" wheels and it's a rag top. Motherf*cker.

I agree, they should have given us some variety when it came to the modifications at Benny's. If they gave us the ability to choose what we wanted (Hotrod, Lowrider, Rat Rod, drag etc.) it would have been better and most likely appealed to wide range of people. I think they handled the RS and 900R very well when it came to variety, it is a very good reason why they were very successful.

In other news:
apparently there is a new American Football styled Adversary mode coming in the future according to people on twitter, that could make them a bit more interesting... or not.

The wheel size is what made me not buy the voodoo and it's disappointing seeing it on the tornado. I am still gonna buy it of course, I need a purple lowrider to add to my collection.

Let me start by repeating something I said which you clearly failed to read or understand...

I understand that what I want is a different culture from lowriders, I just wish we had more hot rodding choices in addition to the lowrider options.

I never said that the small wheels are wrong. I understoodand said as muchthat the small wheels are a commonly found feature on lowriders. What I said is that the look just isn't to my personal taste, and I also said I wish we had more choices in addition to the lowrider stuff.

What I said was peaceful and inclusive. I didn't say lowriders are stupid, I didn't say we should have hot rods instead. I said "in addition to", meaning you can have what you want, I can have what I want, and we can both be happy.

And to my peaceful comment you had to make your hostile, insulting reply. You started off by either not reading everything I wrote or just not understanding it, you write a reply full of misspellings and poor orthography, and finish it off by calling ME stupid?

1. Look in the mirror.

2. Go back to grade school.

3. Seek therapy to resolve whatever issues you have that make you feel so small and useless in your life that you have to insult others in a pitiful attempt to feel good.

4. Get stuffed.

I don't really see the point in blowing up the donks either, it just gives you bad sport points and makes you pay for the insurance, so it accomplishes nothing. If you want to mess with the owners, you can find better ways.

Not sure if this has been brought up in here, but supposedly the Sabre Turbo Custom is going to be the Stirling GT of Muscles, in that it significantly outpaces everything else in the class including even the Dominator Racecar, which was by far the fastest Muscle before this. I guess Rockstar hates the idea of any class being well balanced for racing.

Ugh, I hope this isn't the case as it would be massively frustrating.... And that's coming from someone who much prefers the styling of the Sabre over the Dominator.

Someone with a clue about this kinda stuff really needs to get an opportunity to wrap their hands around the throat of whoever is in charge of these sort of cock-ups and shake some sense into them.
Agreed.
Having every jackass using Dominators with off-road tires was bad enough... at least it was still possible to beat them with other cars. (well, if you're dealing with the average random at least)

f*ckin' figures that they'd have to go and break it further.

Is there any race class that isn't busted as sh*t at this point?

Coupes?

Coupes are kinda boring because the only good options are the Zion and Felon sedan, unless the track has a lot of straights so the Exemplar can compete. Most people don't own those cars though it seems, so it's rare to find them outside of the racing crew lobbies. I like the Felon sedan quite a lot, so I kinda like coupe races but I rarely see people excited about it.

Supers, sports and muscle are all good though.

Supers have 3 viable options, and each one has a different feel. The Entity and Turismo aren't too far behind either.

Sports has 4 good options, with the Massacro bros, Jester race car and Elegy all consistent winners, and the Feltzer and regular Jester very close behind.

I'm still mad at Rockstar for wrecking the sports classic class, it was very good before that damn Stirling GT came along. Sure the Z-Type was the fastest, but the other options weren't far off of it and they all offered pretty distinct strengths.

I've read the past few pages of arguments, and instead of quoting in response to or mentioning anything specific... I'll just leave these few statements here.

We all have different tastes.

We all want different things from Benny.

Car culture has a very rich and diverse history.

The Faction having two different upgrade options is a step in the right direction.

I'm hopeful that the future of GTAO will be plentiful in multiple upgrade options for various classes of vehicles.

It is profitable and in R* best interest to release this content slowly over time, with no option to upgrade an already upgraded vehicle in a different manner, forcing you to buy another of the same vehicle to upgrade.

Yes, this is BS.

Yes, this is Capitalism.

"We ride big boy style" is something that exclusively immature people say when they think they are doing something mature/admirable. And I don't need to say they never are. Every donk under the sun needs to be exterminated, preferrably by setting it on fire and savouring the moment just before the explosion. Burn, you abominations, burn!
