Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 1)

Kinda love how post just disappear when I try to go to the next page, seems like this topic is back on tracks of ranting and pissing all over each other.

 

Anyway, back on topic of the added stuff, I got some nice things out of it like the Slamvan, the short AK and high heel sneakers, but the rest is kinda lacking, especially the clothes. I know they fit the theme but they are just ugly.

I do love the new Slamvan, plus making the handling better makes me want to get one, i kind of wish the hydraulics were optional, i'm more into the hot rod look than the lowrider look, but i guess we can't have it all.

Would actually be great if they released tools that would let people create cosmetic stuff for the singleplayer and then have R* accept some of the better ones as purchasable items for Online as well. Kinda like how people create gun skins for some games on Steam and they might end up being purchasable on Steam workshop. Probably not gonna happen tho.

Since the Lowriders update, R* are giving to us vehicles from GTA IV+Episodes

 

- Lowriders + Halloween Update - 2 Vehicles (Moonbean and Faction)

- Executives and Other Criminals + Festive Surprise 2015 - 2 Vehicles (Cognoscenti + Tampa)

- January 2016 + Be My Valentine - 1 Vehicle (Sultan RS)

- Lowriders: Custom Classics - 1 Vehicle (Virgo Classic [Virgo])

 

Probably we'll get another vehicle from GTA IV+Episodes on the next update (Vapid Fortune? Dundreary Stretch? Grotti Blade?)

The Last Few Years have been awesome for us Nerds, Gamers, generally anybody who likes movies and video games. Last year, Star Wars VII, Fallout 4, Battlefront, and The Witcher: Wild Hunt was released. This year, Star Trek: Beyond, The Division and Rogue One, have been released or are going to be released. Hell, there's even been talks of The Elder Scrolls VI: Argonia being released, which would, if Rockstar were to plan any DLC, or any video game, would compete with each other.

 

My question is, if, Rockstar were to plan anything big (Map DLC, A New Game be it GTA, Max Payne or even Red Dead), how would they do it so it competes with The Elder Scrolls and the numerous amount of titles being released this year? Because face it, GTA V is 3 years old. Back in 2015, people said Fallout was going to crush GTA, and it did, well, not completely.

 

Rockstar must have something up their sleeves, otherwise, I don't know how much dirt GTA V would be buried in.

They will enable them whenever they decide to.

Eh. "Apples to oranges"... Why can't fruit be compared? All the games you mentioned, with the exception of Elder Scrolls (to some extent) are in completely different genres. GTA survived the jump to a new console generation in the face of newer games designed specifically for the new hardware. It'll be fine. The game fills a very specific niche.

What Fun said, was that they should release mod tools already, that way, you can get your lowriders, probably even more than R* were planning to release, and we, the rest of the community, can get our real updates.

Tbh, I was kinda disappointed on the whole update, but it was still a whole lot better that nothing at all. Slamvan is cool af, and so are the weapons and some of the clothing. I was more disappointed on GTA communities reaction to the update than I was to the update itself.

It doesn't matter what R* releases. The Heists everyone prayed for? People bitched. The low riders everyone begged for? People bitched. The yachts that everyone fantasized about? People bitched. R*'s willingness to explore car culture has taken them places that Forza and Gran Turismo haven't gone (and those franchises are both 10+ years old). Granted, it's not as deep or as nuanced, but still... It's f*cking huge when you think about it. I'm a "car guy". I love cars with my heart and my soul and my pee pee. Yah. R* gets the details wrong. Often. But this is an open-world sandbox, not a nuanced car customization simulator. These are professional game developers not professional car tuners. Or professional criminals. Or professional warmongers. Or professional fashion designers. Or professional [insert the name of the real-world professional that cater to your favorite subject matter in the game...]. People need to align their f*cking expectations with reality.

I'm gaming trained to find leftover pizza, and I can definitely tell you that it's tasty, delicious, and is doesn't lose it's stringy texture.

Then, I'll undergo an experiment that'll give me a better healing factor, equip myself with a red suit and mask, storm down to R* HQ and play "X Gon' Give it to You" by DMX while I hunt my girlfriend down with my bartender friend.

 

I'll probably never play the game again until they release some good content.
