Help for director mode ps4

Listen I like this gang set that usually wears hats and bandanas, but wen I get those same guys in director mode they'll spawn with no hats or bandanas. I tried cycling through them for atleast 10 minutes before I finally gave up. I saw a lot of YouTube videos of people playing as these characters with hats and I dnt know how to get them to spawn like that. I'm on my phone so I can't post photos but search Carson avenue families and you will see guys with bandanas tied around there heads and hats and sunglasses. If anyone could help it would be highly appreciated
