Best Moment: When I had played my GTA IV for the First Time. The Cousins Bellic. I was really surprised. Saddest Moment: When I saw Kate McReary killed by Jimmy Peg in R. Ending Mr and Mrs Bellic. RogerWho Posted June 26, 2016 Share Posted June 26, 2016 No single moment, but I loved how the trilogy of games told a single story from 3 different perspectives, each one adding things to the final image. Finally finding out what happened to the heroin and diamonds, who kindapped who, this was great. Why was it so great? Besides the 3-way story, I love how you're not a hero off to save the world, or princess or whatever. I very much appreciate games that can tell well-told, small-time stories. I like to watch crime and heist movies, I don't know why games are reluctant to do that. You always have to save the world or do something else huge. If not, then the story tends to be crap, as if only the hero stories are worth telling. See what GTA V did. It's not enough to rob a bank, you have to rob the Fort Knox equivalent AND essentially save the world before that. It's what makes games like GTA IV, Brothers and Heavy Rain such gems in my eyes. Saddest moments: -Roman's death, I had spoiled myself of that but f*ck me, when I choose the deal and Roman died I almost cried. Jim's death in TLAD is also worth a mention. Voggs Posted June 26, 2016 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Favorite IV moments: -The intro, Niko's reunion with Roman -Brucie's first mission cutscene, "Where can I find them?" "Man... you're cold, you didn't even blink, I love that, I f*cking love that!" -The party in Blow Your Cover -The whole robbery and escape in Three Leaf Clover -The diamonds deal in Museum Piece (applied to EFLC too) -Niko going supper pissed to Florian's apartment -The diamonds exchange for Gracie (applied to TBoGT too) -The confrontation in That Special Someone as well as the dialogue afterwards with both choices, some of Niko's best lines there. -And of course the last mission in Revenge ending, Niko jumping from the bike to the Anihilator and the final confrontation below the Statue of Happiness. And they ended the game with the song used in Trailer 1, the angle focusing on the Statue always gives me chills. Saddest IV moment: -Roman / Kate's death, I'm against both outcomes, but Deal ending is a bigger impact and Niko still doesn't get Kate, that's so f*cking sad. -Lack of gloves (lmao I say this everywhere, but still, it's sad for console players...) Favorite TLaD moments: -Roman's kidnapping -The prison raid Saddest TLaD moments: -Jim's death -The club burning down Favorite TBoGT moments: -The intro -Entering Maisonette 9 for the first time. -Yusuf's first mission cutscene -Destroying the yatch -Entering Bahama Mamas in Boulevard Baby -The last mission, when Luis jumps from the bike to the plane, then getting out skydiving -And the general nightlife scene, dancing, drinking, managing the club, etc. Saddest TBoGT moments: -Margot's encounters. -And Bahama Mamas being closed. The Bernie plot twist & scene so unexpected and well written. Rescuing roman from the Russians in Hostile Negotiation. The diamond exchange in Museum Piece with all three protagonists together. Three Leaf clover, so intense ! Executing Vlad & the scene where Niko tells Roman of his revengeful mission in liberty city. The basement scene in Crime and Punishment. Executing Dimitri on the platypus or Happiness island both equally satisfying. There are so many good moments when it comes to this fantastic game! Official General Posted June 27, 2016 Share Posted June 27, 2016 * Elisabeta shooting dead both Manny Escuela and his cameraman each with a bullet to the head. I was so shocked and stunned when I first saw that. It really took me by surprise, I was like WTF !! * The shootout in the Triangle strip club, bullets flying everywhere, the clatter of gunfire, every guy in there with a gun shooting at each other, other people running, screaming, I loved every minute of it. * The date with, and assassination of French Tom. The whole event was funny as f*ck, what a brilliant idea LOL ! * Three Leaf Clover, enough said, I don't have to explain why I chose this. * When Niko first lands in Liberty, and roams around Broker for the first time. * Killing Vlad - that's when I knew the real gangster sh*t was gonna start for Niko. Time mission I thought that the plane will blow up along with Luis but due to his Good Luck he survived that heat. TBOGT is too hard. It took nearly a year to finish that game. When I realised the fun I had been having was a complete mystery and I should consider Mafia III for a superior gameplay experience. In all seriousness during the Cousin's Bellic when Niko and Roman are back at the apartment Niko starts talking about what he had been doing and Roman falls a sleep then Niko bashes on the table. It's good that Jackob stayed with Nick in that time. It would be better if there was one ending in which Jimmy\Dimitri could kill Little Jackob rather than Roman or Kate. The songs they picked were great too (especially Touch Too Much by ACDC). I like how they showed a lot of stuff from TLAD and IV, my favourite was showing the museum. When I crossed the street I walked against this Uptown Rider guy. He got mad, said various threats and attacked me. Before I knew it, I was fighting all three of them.
