Can't play online

So this problem has been really, really pissing me off.

 

I bought GTA5 a few months ago and have been trying to play online ever since.

At the beginning it will tell me that I have logged into Rockstar Social Club. Should work right?

 

I try to go into online mode through selecting it in steam, but then it just tells me it's not available.

 

If I try connecting in-game, it will tell me that I need to log into social club??? So then I press home, and not only am I logged in, but it says "[Offline]" beside it???

How do I fix this?

 

I bought this game 2 times now. Both on different accounts, in hopes that maybe it was something messed up with my steam. This shouldn't be so damn difficult.

 

 

Am I missing something? Please help me before I have 2 waisted gta 5 copies.

When you log into social club on the website (not in game), does it show GTA5 as one of your games? (it'll be listed in the banner at the top to the right of your profile name). If I remember correctly, you have to link the game to your social club account to be able to play online.

I don't get these people who buy things again before trying to sort out the problem. It's like that guy who kept buying "broken" non-charging controllers, when the problem was his USB. More money than sense.

Yup, im connected through steam.
