Started Heist as host and it was all messed up, idk what to do

Hopefully the title was informative, but I decided I'd do some heists this morning, I have more time then usual to play and I haven't messed with heists for about a year. I have tried to start the Prison heist, and so far I have started the first Set-up "Plane" three times, 2 of which me and 3 others were spawned outside my Alta st. apartment and the HUD was gone, map gone, unable to use L1 or start or anything other than the movement controls (could walk around, punch, get in vehicle, drive (which was noticeably glitchy), and that was it). Both times we all drove around for a bit and then someone finally quit by closing app or unpluging their PS4 i imagine. The other time it just went back to the clouds and then FM. I was going to attempt suicide (in game, not real life) but someone quit before I could get to the top of the parking garage and jump off. No one had a mic beside me, so no clue if they could hear me or not, but we drove up the east side of the map on the way to McKenzie airfield (remember, no map but everyone knew where we were supposed to go), but someone quit by the time we got off the highway.

Wtf????

 

I'm going to go try again, but I really don't want to waste my weekend sesh on repeating a failing heist launch until noon. I suppose i'll restart my PS4 and see if it just figures itself out. Any advice welcome, or any relatable stories also welcome.

 

It was kind of cool driving with no HUD or map, I was very nervous about losing sight of the other cars lol.

quit the set up and do it again should work

My experience of Heists has always been dreadful due to a combination of glitches and awful players. I too, haven't touched them in about a year and now that I am the CEO of a multi-million dollar empire, I doubt I ever will again.
