San Andreas GTA should be decompiled and recompiled in 64-bit or go straight to their extinction , please attend this. Some expert should increase the old limits of 256 mb to over 32 gb , I'm currently experiencing in 4gb ; I have thought of using retargetable Decompiler + IDA San Andreas GTA should be decompiled and recompiled in 64-bit or go straight to their extinction , please attend this. Is it really possible to decompile the whole exe again and then recompile in 64 bit format?

Of course you can, but I have not the tools .

What's the point?

Extend limited resources, and eventually add DX11 / DX12 .

So you want GTA San Andreas to consume over 3GB?

What kind of assets you plan putting in it? :V

Not kidding, V here sometimes doesn't even use 3GB.

You'd rather want to implement something like DX11, that would give the game some advantage with remastered assets and stuff.

Though I have no idea if that would be possible.

GTA SA , has no optimization GTA V , plus they could extensor limits of maps, Improve Physical , tessellation to contact , and take INCLUDED DX12 optimization in future of the mods , would be very beneficial .

Yes pls. Lets do it m8. While you are at it add Bullet physics engine aswell. And then fix SA:Render. And then import V map with normals and normal maps. You can do it.

[/dream]yea right. There is work on another engine.

You seem to have very little idea on what you're talking about. You basically said "Hey guys I have an idea rewrite the game from scratch it's a great idea isn't it no need to say thanks now get to work because I know it's possible".

Sorry , my English is not very good , not if I explain well, I do programming in C / C ++ time, and I realized that you can get better performance if the program is compiled to 64 -bit , as it handles more quantity ram (even with 4gb ram) . This this is testing in compression programs for example. It would be difficult to add multi core.

People know what you are talking about. They are saying that you are making it sound like a simple task to do. Have you done anything that will make your idea become a reality?

I agree, there should be a 64 bit EXE, my san Andreas is cracked, (NOT PLANNING TO BUY ON STEAM IT'S BAD) sometimes my san Andreas doesn't even open with a 60 FPS cleo and a widescreen fix (something to do with 32 bit) I wish there is a 64 bit version.

Having the EXE as 64bit will fix none of those. 🙄

The single pointer takes 32-bits in 32-bit EXE.

There are many structures, in which the pointers are placed.

There is no more space than 32 bits for the pointer though.

Can't have a 64-bit pointer there.

But there s a tool that allows you to patch exe files and not using limit adjuster and HD textures the game flickers but is less then a second so using that patcher and open limit adjuster made it better.

What the patcher does is rewrite original file with new instructions to take advantage of windows vista and newer not only that if your windows is x86 it will use up to 3 Gb of ram and on x64 it will use 3.5 Gb of ram top i tested that tool and worked fine patching gta sa and 3 and the ammount of ram usage was around 2 Gb on gta 3 with HD textures and 2.4 gb on gta sa without open limit adjuster with open limit adjuster used 3.5 Gb of ram

I just bought it on steam, it's badly optimised, maybe a 64 bit can run it? I played V on my friend's Intel HD Laptop Frame Scaling 1/2 lowest settings possible no stutters and 1366x(whatever it is.), ran 39-46 FPS. 64 Bits exes might fix it. (Sorry for the bump.)
