Sooooo, Crates Are The New Grind For Cash?

If I played non-stop, how long does it take to make just a million bucks? I'm a racer only so, I literally know nothing about the crates. LOL

takes like 2 trips with a full medium warehouse to get a little over a million. 1 trip if you have a full large warehouse.

Heist will always be king for grinding cash.

It takes 5 real life hours to fully pack a large warehouse (111 crates,2,2 mill)

Edit:Just finished filling my large warehouse today. Took me a couple days because life...GTA5_2016_06_24_14_47_22_82.png

A full large warehouse costs $660k to fill up (if you buy in large orders), and sells for $2.2M.

I can fill a large warehouse in about 1.5 - 2 days if I play a lot. Like, heavy grinding.

I think it can make quite a lot of money, but you have to invest a lot first. If you need money and need it now, it might not be the best option. if you're just stacking the cash for the future though, and there's no rush, it might be for you. Hard to say.

Not really.

The Pacific Standard heist will give you the most amount of money in the least time.

But, if you're like me and have played that heist to the point where you're pretty much sick of it, then "Power Play" or CEO jobs are probably better alternatives as far as money-making goes.

no , crates aren t the new grind for cash , like everybody already said , a full small warehouse sells for 240 k , medium for 735 k and big for 2,2M . that seems OK , but the effort collecting the crates & ultimately delivering them and the risk you re taking are big . Heists are still the best cash maker - I just made $1,5M yesterday just playing different heists, as a normal player and not a leader -

Heists are still a better option as others said. If you have a decent group of friends you can earn 1mln easily, if not more. Crates are not bad as well, but they're not the best solution

It takes money to make money. You're gonna need to fork out $3.5 mil for an office and warehouse... but then you can make a mil in about 4-5 hours in a public session of one. Is a good deal.

Edit- you won't see major gains til you stock a large warehouse with 55 or more creates. The small and medium warehouses are noob stuff.

Crate-work isn't a big money maker. It could be if you bought only the lowest-cost overhead, but the time-drain makes doing many other things more profitable.

I don't like heisting cause I hate restarts and relying on other people.

New large scale features are never intended to be for everyone to embrace, simply an alternative option for those who didn't like what came before or want more content to add to the play mix variety.

The best legit money making method will always be the pac standard exploit and VIP missions. Filling up large warehouses takes forever and will burn you out. Trust me.

Stick to racing.... especially if you like racing. If you're good at racing time trials are supposedly decent as well. Crates are something new to do, but by no means an efficient money grind

I grinded alot of contactmissions, but nowadays I can't stomach doing another 'los santos connection' or blow up I, II, III, thrash talk...

No fun because no challenge...

I like to play heist, but to me it's also not my favourite moneymaker. There are a few elements there... One big factor is the uncertainty of other players... In game and for completing the heist... I have had several occasions where I grinded out a pacific, only to see that moneymaking finale pass me by, as the one starting it up, decided to share the cash with friends or play that finale on a later time (with friends)...

So I wasted my time and the fruit of my labour was for other parties.. No thank you... Ofcourse when I play heists with friends it's a different story, but still I'm depending on other people to complete the job...

So wrt crates it's up to me and me... I agree with some in here: Large warehouses take time... So I have a workaround... I bought a medium warehouse and I alternate 3 crate shipments between the two... I can fill up a medium warehouse in about 3 days (roughly 2 hours a day of play), thus after three mediumsales I get that big whopper... And it cost money to buy.. But I work in between purchases as a VIP (sightseer, headhunter mostly and when in public with other players cargohaul, cargobob action,...) So I earn my 18K pricetag AND a 3k buzzard to quickly fly off from Maze bank tower... So I don't see my money dwindle down, I just stay stable on the bank account, while my VIP grinding pays the bill... And after 8-9 days I made 3x735K +2200K, thus 4.4million... Works for me... True, some good pacific grinding makes that amount much much faster... But I'll probably be bored out of my skull, before I reach 4.4million... With the crates things don't get b oring, over here that is.... And don't forget those 5% extra hazardpay (for each other ceo in the session) when you do a sale.. And when people want to mess your sh*t up... It's time to lag yourself out... No risk... Simple...

5 hours is BEST CASE, full steam ahead 100% of the time with no setbacks, perfect universe, scenario. Extremely unrealistic and not representative for the vast majority of players.

You would have to be in an empty lobby by yourself and preferably have 2 or 3 associates helping you.

Even then that is just to FILL your warehouse, you havent made a single GTAnickel yet. You have to sell and deliver those crates and that can go wrong even in a public lobby by yourself.

In which case 5 hours would net you a lot more money with 1 associate running CEO work/challenges or grinding heists for 5 hours with 3 competent friends/helpers.

Nah, crates won't give you a quick return and selling a large warehouse full of them could end in tears and a lot of "wasted" time (if you're the type who needs to feel that every in-game moment has to be helping you turn a profit).

It's a slow burner when I play - I just enjoy having to negotiate truces with other CEOs, planning how to successfully complete the cargo pickups with a team and being able to play a selection of uninterrupted scenarios with crew members without any lobbies getting in the way.

I never sell full warehouses, usually only opting to deliver between 15-20 crates at a time. I get less on my initial investment by not selling in bulk but I am still making money. For me it's the fun of doing the jobs and not necessarily how much I get out of them. I already have $15M in the bank and nothing to spend it on, so there's not much motivation for me to be bringing big bucks in.

That and I wanna fly under the radar of any Government agencies sniffing around looking for notable new business startups in the LS region ;)

Doesn't it take 2 hours to run the psj? It's pretty even in terms of profit, I'd say, unless you're duping the psj.

The worst bit about crate work isn't all the new work, it's that it is all very, VERY boring. You can play for hours and hours on end and see nothing for it.

even if you make that big sale safely, you still have to then spend hours of zero profit work until you eventually build enough to make a decent sale.

It is in reality, really f*cking dull work that DEFINES the word grinding. It's not fun and after your 50th crate run you'll wish you never even started it.

I can fill up 2 large warehouses in 12 hours buying 3 crates at a time. But it's a grind. I spend $1.2 million in expenses but get $4.4 million in return after I sell them.

For me its a time killer, not really a money maker. I always collect atleast 10 crates after that I go do other things.

If you sold 2 full warehouses you would have spent at least 2.2 mil on cargo doing triple crate runs. Their profit margin is barely 100% assuming nothing is ever destroyed. Profit on single crate is like 600% and double about 300-350%. Sure, you reach that end payout so much faster, but you also spend so damn much more getting there. You made 4.4 mil but spent 2.2 mil, I made 4.4 mil and spent 4.4k. The securoserv computer in your office lies, it doesn't account for expenses. It's an amazing cash haul, but only if you don't just assume more is better. That's the reason R* prices the crates the way they did.

Actually, it is about $1,332,000 in expenses of cargo for 2 large warehouses, assuming none blows up.

111*2 = 222 products; 222/3 = 74 buys; 74*18000 = 1,332,000; $4,400,000 sales - 1,332,000 = $3,068,000

VIP pays extremely poorly compared to crates and is even more boring. For the record it takes me 10 hours exactly to fill and sell 2 large warehouse's.(300k per hour)

This morning, 90 minutes of crate work, profit? Just under 180k. Potential for total loss.

This afternoon, 90 minutes of VIP work 240k. All profit. Loss potential? Zero.

If you want money do VIP. If you want something different to do then do CEO.

You might want to revisit your math....or math in general.

Jeez, I don't need the money, but I've already sold half a millions worth and have another million, easy, sitting in warehouses.

For some, I suppose it's the new grind, but for others of us, it's just new gameplay.

That's all. Something fun and shiny to spank around until the next DLC. :)
