I usually play pool or throw darts. Sometimes I can shoot 1 game all the way through and rack another before that sh!t loads. Keeps the sanity up to not wait for it.

^^ I have literally done that many times with great success.

 

My bed is right next to my PC, so I launch Piracy Prevention Perversion, turn around and start folding clothes (keeping an eye out for any pirates), put them away, etc. grab some iced tea... and come back to +$30k.

 

Too bad it doesn't pay $55k like it used to in Sept. '16:

 

 

Hmm; reminds me... I need to do more laundry.

 

...I have also been known to peel garlic cloves while GTA Online loads (I eat a clove a day for health reasons). lol

yep interesting topic indeed, i saw an interview a few weeks ago and a guy that works with cryos said that within 10 years they would start to bring people out of the cryosleep.

While it’s always nice to think back and be nostalgic, I believe OP’s memories of games past are a bit romantic lol The Atari may have loaded up fast, but my first computer was a Commodore 64 with cassette tapes for the games and that sh*t could take hours to load!

 

I remember specifically this one time when my cousin was visiting, we always looked forward to playing together. So anyway, he’d brought a new cassette with him, and we were very excited about this new game. It of course took forever to load, and when it finally did after, I kid you not, 1-2 hours, the user had to chose input method and I accidentally pressed Mouse. I didn’t have a mouse.

 

Man was my cousin angry and disappointed. Of course there was no time to load it up again lol

 

More OnT: I usually check GTAF during the (brief) loading times of GTAO. Or roll up some herbal remedies.

The formula for this is simple.


(TIME SPENT WAITING FOR LOADING x HERBAL REMEDY TIME)/TOTAL TIME NOT PLAYING = I'M TOO HIGH TO CARE ANYMORE

Mathematically, this reads:
