Perhaps I'm lucky, but I usually do not experience extravagant loading times.

 

I'll click to load up the game; launch in story mode first; and then click to join a private session when I'm ready to play. Going from story to online takes less than a minute.

 

I frequently take breaks and just get up to walk around whilst playing. I don't like sitting for more than say a couple of hours at most at a time.

 

When I'm waiting or taking a break, I'm usually checking RSC, having a drink or snack, or listening to music.

Joking (too) but I would have enough time during all the loading screens, that's for sure. I do like you fw3, flipping laundry and putting away dishes mostly, then I'm allowed to go for a smoke if my gf doesn't need help with my baby... Then I look at the clouds as I burp or change diapers (gaming isn't the same without a diaper on).... Then I teach my baby she has arms so she stops hitting herself in the face.... Then it looks like the loading is almost done so I sit down, twiddle my thumbs, go out for another smoke, get a drink, smack my screen to speed things up like the good old days.

By then if it's still not loaded, I have an intense staring contest with my router just to feel like I'm winning something because it blink constantly. That usually makes it go faster or puts me in a trance for hours so I don't notice the wait.

 

Or I just sit there enjoying the wonders of Cloud Simulator, it's like a whole different game I never knew I never wanted to play.

I think you have to have 56kbps to have that sound, and thanks to that connection I'm too poor in game to own a Warehouse. I can even have single public sessions for several hours with no one bothering me...

I think you have to have 56kbps to have that sound, and thanks to that connection I'm too poor in game to own a Warehouse. I can even have single public sessions for several hours with no one bothering me...

 

I had that sound (very similar, at least) with my 14.4k. connection in 1994 (though I used acoustic coupler modems in the mid/late 1980's as a kid)
