Now That We're 2 Weeks In, How Much Have You Made Off Crates?

Crate fetching is a very mediocre way to make cash. The time to profit ratio as a solo player is abysmal and even with associates it doesn't top Pac Standard or VIP missions. The method I use below has proven both entertaining and profitable...

Change your MTU settings to obtain an empty public lobby if you don't want to deal with with other people...

Run Sightseer...(there will be a 5 minute cool down here)
Fetch a SINGLE crate...(cool down timer for headhunter will be expired)
Run Head Hunter...(once completed Sightseer should be ready to go again)
Run Sightseer...(now you'll have another 5 minute cool down an the process starts again)
Fetch a crate...
RINSE AND REPEAT

With the method above you'll make approximately 170k in VIP missions alone (you can average 200k an hour if you eliminate the crate aspect of it). Each mission should take approximately 5 minutes including the crate fetches. The profit margin on your crates increase as you add more so I don't really count those efforts in my hourly progression. I currently have one large warehouse at 50% capacity with only single crates. My bank account has been returned to its former, pre-update glory and I've got a million unclaimed dollars in my warehouse.

If you're grinding crates for cash, you're mostly wasting time. If you're enjoying the process then that's all that matters. Me personally, I use the warehouse like a bank. I add funds to it slowly and when the next update is released and I want some cool new car, I'll sell my stock and use the funds to do so.

I had 5 full large warehouses because I thought Id just leave them stocked and sell at some point, but your warehouses will get randomly raided by NPC's and you will lose some stock, its better to sell it all as soon as its full to avoid more work in the long run. Good method though, me and the crew have been doing something similar.

You see I have a problem with a post like this offering advice when it's wrong advice. Simply, anytime you are doing anything in freeroam other than getting crates you are making less money than you could have been. If you do crates youre on 300k+ an hour, if you start mixing it up with VIP your back to 200k or less, that's a huge difference. The best way to crate as of now is buy Arcadius and the two large warehouses near unit 2. Also have a heist set at integrity way. This gives you no cooldown and you can get back to your office via answering your phone. You can be back in your office desk with 3:25 left on the cooldown which is still just enough time to fit even the fastest crate run in at your other warehouse. Only do 3 crates at a time even via integrity way the trip to the office means 3 crates is still best vs time.

Over $13m and barely playing. I've got my big warehouse at 50 and want to hit 80, which would give me around 1.4m; goal is to get there tomorrow.

Go into your network settings and change your MTU to 800. Start GTA Online and you'll land in an empty public lobby. Had one going for 49 hours over the weekend and not one person joined. This is on PS4 btw but i'm sure you can change MTU settings on the XBOX.

Almost at 15 now. Well, at 14 + 1.5 in stock. Just paid to upgrade my M warehouse to a L, so I now have 2 L and 1 M. I'm planning to start stocking both L to 80 before selling, which will yield almost 19k per create.

unless somebody can confirm that the cash piles even more?

My goal tonight is to get my large warehouse from 85 to 100+, then sell. After that, I'm going to start loading up my other large warehouse, just hoping to get to like 30, as it is a work-night. Since I bought the second L warehouse, I need to make back $6.5m more to break even. Maybe I'll get there over this holiday weekend.

Really half-assed way to acquire loot in lobbies. I'm not saying this game needs to become The Division, but they want Shart Card sales and more Shart Card sales, at the expense of gameplay.

No offense but if you are that lazy, that unmotivated, that unwilling to do what it takes to get what you want......OUT OF A VIDEO GAME....

then you deserve to have your actual cash taken from you in order to get your precious GTA$.

On second thought, I hope you do take offense. You people need a kick in the pants for once in your feckless lives.

It stops before 15 mil.

When I went from 14 to 16 mil, the cash didn't grow.

I've sold a couple full small warehouses but usually sell at eight crates. I prefer one delivery.

I have to admit, i'm filling up my warehouse much faster than the first time, playing everyday a couple of hours and completely dedicated to CEO stuff, you can make 2 full large-warehouse sales, that's like 3M a week, not bad.

Just passed four million in crate sales last night. The money creeping over the office floor is starting to get real.

Do we have a solid conclusion yet as to what exactly is the most efficient angle, in terms of warehouse size and purchase quantity?

I've been sticking by the slow and steady process of filling a medium warehouse with single crates, but it would be great to finally be able to make an informed decision that isn't based on arbitrary percentages of multi-crate pickups and job lengths.

Has anybody out there compiled any data to give us an idea of how much real time we should expect to spend on filling a given warehouse with single crates, versus how long it may take to fill with triple crates? I know this is very hard to do as we can't predict how much multi-crate runs we may get.

I could possibly live with paying $4,000 to speed things up a little. It would mean $84,000 less on the sale of my medium warehouse stock, but that's not really a significant amount on the grand scheme of things. Paying $6,000 per crate just feels extortionate though, and if I were to do this, I may as well get myself a large warehouse while I'm at it.

On the other hand, it's easy to overlook that fact that the double and triple crates don't just cut the collection time to half or a third, they also eliminate the 5 minute cool down period. So, even if you get a triple crate run that requires three separate trips, straight away you've saved yourself 15 minutes that would have been the cool down time between each job, had you purchased three single crates

My heart tells me to stick with the slow and steady approach which rewards greater profits on paper, however my head is telling me more and more that multi-crates may return a greater profit per hour.

Of course, my next problem will be warehouse location. I really like my spot at Derriere Lingerie and the large warehouses are much too out of the way!

Of course, my next problem will be warehouse location. I really like my spot at Derriere Lingerie and the large warehouses are much too out of the way!

The most profitable way would be to own the cheapest large warehouse (Wholesale Furniture, $1,900,000), fill it one-at-a-time, and sell when it's full.

You would earn $1,978,000 after your cargo expenses.

That would take a long time to do.

Ignoring the location, Wholesale Furniture is the only warehouse that can be profitable by filling it once.

Convenience Store Lockup is the cheapest ($250,000), and the cheapest per crate slot ($15,625) but with a maximum sell price of $240,000 you'd have to fill & sell it more than once for the location to be profitable.

Personally, I prefer 2-crates at a time.

About 45% of the potential buying runs are vehicles and don't require making trips to move crates

Balance between cost- and time-savings. Then I often do Headhunter or Sightseer during the cooldown time to fill the same warehouse to cut the total number of cargo jobs before CEO work is profitable

I'm not too worried about how long it takes me to break even. I'd just like to know that I'm utilising my time the right way.

Due to my office location at Lombank, the only large warehouses I could ever see myself buying are West Vinewood Backlot or Xero Gas Factory, though I haven't investigated either of them in terms of access etc. Wholesale Furniture is actually the only large one I have previous experience of due to working with my friend and I could never manage to get a Buzzard down in the marker because of the massive overhang along the building.

I think what I'm going to do for now is finish my current medium stock of single crates and then have a go at double crates. This will at least give me some experience with the extra trips as a CEO and then I'll see how I feel about expanding to a larger depot.
