Now That We're 2 Weeks In, How Much Have You Made Off Crates?

So, the question pretty much explains itself. I invested $16m to get started, and have had $12mill of raw income from selling crates, but spent approx $3m buying them, so a net of $9m. I'm $7m short of breaking even... you?

$-2,650,000

sh*tty DLC is sh*tty

Edit:

Oops, forgot about the crate purchase.

$21,000,000 net. Subtract 25% of that for upfront...not bad really. Much more fun than boring ass heists IMO!

I've been a bit lazy. Only filled 0.25 of a large warehouse and not sold any of it yet.

Not denying that. Still needs improvements

About 4.5 million. So that's got my office paid off. Now to pay off the 2 large warehouses.

-£2.5m...gave up collecting...got bored of it. :/

Has anyone bought and filled ALL the warehouses? How much would you get for selling that? :)

Had $8,557,638 before I got the office and started doing crates.

Lombank + Gun Locker: -$3,620,000

Convenience Store Lockup: -$250,000

Then I sold a lot of crates from that Small Warehouse and decided to buy a Medium Warehouse to increase earnings a bit.

Railyard Warehouse: -$1,017,000

Total Earnings from selling crates: $3,462,767 - does not include the costs for crates. At first I was buying at random amounts, then I started doing them one-by-one, filled and sold an entire medium warehouse with $2000 crates.

Currently have $6,445,084. I also want to get that Bestia GTS already ($610,000) but I need to wait until I will have at least $1,000,000 left to break even.

Haven't made a single dime yet. But I am 21 crates away from a full Large warehouse which is currently worth 1.7m with one special item to sell that's worth 115k.

Overhead Cost: $8,787,000

Cargo Cost: $1,497,000

Total: $10,284,000

Current Inventory: $1,777,500

Sold Inventory: $4,267,820

Total: $6,047,320

Net: $-4,236,680

WATTSNATIONALIST

8.5 for set up cost

7.5 sold so far

Down a mill

Willing to take an L here, too much time and effort with the ever present chance of taking crate loss. Plus it's waaaay more boring than grinding missions or heist.

Office was worth it though.

The same tedious handful of donkey runs are more fun than heists? Really?

Disconnects, randoms' shenanigans, waiting for some to join (and waiting, and waiting, and waiting...) sucks the fun out of them.

Plus, they've been around more than a year, so yeah, I see where he's coming from.

TeammateHelper

18,000. Not counting property cost: 18k crates, and 36k sale price- which is the tutorial on my end.

After that, I just did heists. Or nothing at all. I mean sh*t I'm rich.

CrysisAverted

~$4mill in pure profit

doing CEO jobs in between offsets the cost of buying more crates.

but then we consider price of warehouse and office

so like kinda breakin even...

$21mil!!!! Wow that's a lot of crates you must have done +500 crate pickups by now! I've only done just over half of that and starting to find the repetition a bit tedious.

What does the silver trophy on your desk look like?

The cost of a bottom tier office, some well chosen upgrades, and a decent warehouse will cost you 3-4 million. You'll make that sort of money back in no time if you're a half-decent player.

The real issue is all the other stuff that Rockstar entices you to spend your money on: tugboats, cargbobobs, planes, helicopters, various cars, office upgrades, furnishings, clothes, etc... which are absolutely useless for making money, so it's all about what you spend your money on, not whether the CEO upgrade is profitable or not.

For careful/hard-working players, the CEO upgrade is definitely profitable. Just a shame I bought so much junk LOL.

Currently sitting on about 6.5 Million worth of goods right now...

May I ask why?

Is there any benefit in holding that much stock? Does it gain in value?

You could get raided, or one or two of your deliveries could go wrong. Why risk so much?

Just broke the 3 mil mark last night. spent around 6.5 mile on office, one large warehouse and one small. So on my way to making my money back.

Large warehouse is about 70% full at moment. Sold it all the first time when it had 64 crates will wait till its full this time.

Small warehouse gets sold once or twice per game session depending on how long I play. Think I'm on my 6th or 7th full sell with that one.

I like this update, has brought something different then just hoping from mission to mission. I've played more in the past two weeks then I have in a few months because its fun again.

But I've bought 3 small warehouses, and 2 large ones. So in truth, I probably haven't even broke even yet. Once I do though, I think this should makes some good money.

Just a shame it feels like such a f*cking grind-fest when you get a crate collection instead of a vehicle collection. Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth ... Urgh.
